Thompson's Website
Gets an Upgrade
He isn't even a candidate yet, but already, Fred Thompson is launching what he calls "version 2.0" of his, um, campaign website: www.imwithfred.com. There is a "newly revised action center," and new tools for "organizing events in our communities." And there's a "Fredcast" section, which "put you on site wherever Fred might be speaking."
The announcement of a revamped website comes after the announcement of version 2.0 of his campaign staff. Gone was top campaign executive Tom Collomore, who had been in charge of Thompson's "testing the waters" committee for months.
So what else could Thompson revamp before he announces? Campaign strategy 2.0? Campaign wardrobe 2.0? Campaign Pickup Truck version 2.0? Maybe he could launch version 2.0 of his acting career, appearing on episodes of CSI: Miami.

Looks like he is version 2.0 of George Washington! I'm so happy.

In the tradition of President George Washington, a leader Thompson had admired growing up, he walked away from an easy reelection victory to seek new challenges.
