McCain Newly Flush

What a difference a win makes.
Once his bank accounts were bone dry. Sen. John McCain had to take out a $3 million line of credit from a D.C. bank to keep his Republican presidential bid alive until the New Hampshire primary. Since he won the primary, he has raised more than $6 million, his campaign spokeswoman, Jill Hazelbaker said today.
Hazelbaker said McCain has raised more than $7 million in 2008, including $3 million that came in over the Internet.

John Mccain '08... are you serious? He recently said that he likes that interest rates were dropping wishing that they would be zero! Do we really want a president that knows nothing about economics, when it is arguably one of the most important subjects going into the election?

Don't be such a hater, McCain is doing better than anybody else agains Hillary and even Obama. That's because he's the best candidate the Republicans have to offer in the general election. He's the strongest even in a more competitive race with more candidates still winning and he's amongst the top vote-getter from moderate conservatives (versus extreme conservatives), as well as from other moderates and independents. If you want an extremist in the primaries, you end up with a liberal. I'm not against a competitive election between a strong democrat and a strong republican. Apparently the poster above has his eye on attacking the front-runner, McCain.
This old war-hero, unlike bob dole, is kicking all the other candidates' butts and can make the general elections competitive instead of basically putting up a weaker candidate (such as the rich boy steve forbes-type or the southern preacher HUckabee).

In 2000, when he lost to George Bush, John McCain got 237,000 votes in South Carolina.
In 2008, he received only 143,000 votes, only 60% of his 2000 total.
South Carolina voters like McCain even less now than in 2000.
He just managed to eke out a victory with only 33% support because there were so many other candidates.
He's not another Ronald Reagan.
He's another Bob Dole. An OLD war hero who's been in the Senate too long, lacking in ideas, and likely to lose to Clinton in the general election.

Hello America! We have a debt of 56 TRILLION dollars! We are drowning in debt and people continue to vote for McCain. End the madness, and show some fiscal responsibility!
Vote Ron Paul, or Romney, but leave the next generation some hope and send McCain to a retirement home, not to the White House.
