FWIW. Drudge is reporting that Nancy adores McCain but will not be endorsing in public.

Clearly CNN did a poor job of moderating this debate. They let it slide into non satisfying muck between mccain and romney-if the confrontation was over something, fine, but a "Who shot John?" over symantics was foolish...oddly enough, even with his limited time, or perhaps because of it, Huckabee looked presidential and rational, again, and Nancy Reagan looked enamored with him, both before and after the debate...

During tonight's debate in California McCain was even worse than usual--he is an utter disgrace: a petty, small minded, self-aggrandising politician of the very worst kind who will be slaughtered by either Clinton or Obama. (Yes, even Clinton will win a landslide election against McCain!) If he is the best that the Republicans can offer the American people, then we are doomed. Ron Paul is the nations only hope, but the way things stand, he has no chance whatsoever. I wonder who will be the Republican nominee in 2012? McCain?? Just how stupid is the American public???

John McCain holds himself out to be a man of honesty and integrity. His tortured attempt to create an "issue" with Romney over the Governor's alleged "timetable" statement reflects neither. He has no issue with what Romney actually said, so twists his statement into a pretzel and then takes issue with the pretzel. This is precisely the kind of disgusting behavior that passes for "politics" in Washington. McCain should be ashamed and Romney has a perfect right to be furious.

As usual GOP candidates argue who is most conservative.

Who won the CNN Republican Debate in California?
