DE: Turnout No Longer 'Abysmal'

Voter turnout in Delaware appeared good -- "not overwhelming," but also "not abysmal," as it was four years ago, a state elections official said. Results were not expected until about 9 p.m.

Hillary Clinton never visited this state, but daughter Chelsea showed up Monday for a final push. After spending time on Newark's Main Street (literally), urging pedestrians to vote for
her mother, the 27-year-old addressed about 300 people at a University of Delaware event.

On Sunday, Barack Obama had addressed a crowd of 20,000 in Wilmington, with some admirers perching on the roofs of portable toilets.

Because of late dropouts, six Democrats are on the ballot, including favorite son Sen. Joe Biden,
raising concerns that ineligible candidates may garner votes.
