Clinton, Obama Camps Trade Outrage and Charges -- Again

The drama-filled tit-for-tat continued today between the campaigns of Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. This time is was the Clinton campaign's turn to demand that an Obama supporter apologize for a comment that Clinton spokesman Phil Singer called the "most personal attack yet" by the Obama campaign.

Over the weekend, Gordon Fischer, the former chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party and Obama's Iowa co-chair last fall, posted a statement on his blog saying former president Bill Clinton shouldn't be forgiven for remarks that Gordon read as implying that Obama doesn't love his country as much as Sens. Clinton or John McCain. Then Fischer went on to write that Clinton's comments were a "stain on his legacy, much worse, much deeper than the one on Monica's blue dress."

On a conference call with reporters, Singer said the Obama campaign is being "fueled by insult and slander."

Fischer apologized today and pulled down the blog posting, calling his comment "tasteless and gratuitous."

Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for the Obama campaign, told reporters that Obama believes Fischer's comments "have no place in our political dialogue and he strongly rejects them."

The continuing fight for the Democratic nomination has been dogged lately by zealous campaign surrogates, followed by apology-fests. Former vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro offended Obama and caused an uproar by saying his campaign had benefited from his being a black man. She stepped down from her post on a Clinton finance committee in a bid to quell the controversy.

Earlier, Obama foreign policy adviser Samatha Power launched a firestorm of her own, calling Clinton "a monster"; she, too, stepped down from her campaign role.

With the tightest campaign for the Democratic nomination in recent history set to continue for at least another month, expect the name-calling -- and the apologies -- to continue.

The DNC should be ashame for not finding a way to include Michigan and Florida. Obama should be shamed for not agreeing to a solution.

I voted for Hillary because I thought her policies on the issues of economy, health insurance, and the war are more progressive than anyone else running, but now after the bitterness everyone has displayed toward her, if Hillary's not in the General Election, my vote stays home. As a Black Male I can't find it in my heart to vote Obama or McCain. GO HILLARY

Now Hillary says she was "sleep deprived" and mis-spoke.

She told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "I was sleep-deprived, and I misspoke."

So much for the 3AM red phone commercial. She would be "sleep deprived" if it rang. The more this woman opens her mouth, the worse it gets.

Sinbad, the comedian who traveled with her says the only "red phone" moment was where to eat next. She now says she "misspoke".

This is the talk of the news today. This should do her in unless you don't care whether your president lies or not. (Oh I foget, her husband lied under oath). Oh well.

Guess what... Obama preaches a good speech about unity, faith, hope and change.

He is ready to jump on anyone that even remotely says anything that MAY be considered racist. His campaign is ready to use race or racism prior to any primary... just in time to galvanize his cult followers.

He continues to ask questions in his speeches and then answer the questions that he asks. In addition he has become a typical politician... saying one thing, promising one thing and delivering nothing.

From today's headlines:

Hillary Clinton's campaign backed off Monday from a disputed campaign claim, saying Clinton "misspoke" when she said she landed "under sniper fire" during a 1996 trip to war-torn Yugoslavia.

There were reports of snipers in nearby hills, but no known shots were taken at the landing craft or tarmac in Tuzla, Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson told reporters on a conference call.

If I was judged on everything that my pastor said well than I'd be blamed for something every Sunday. I am sure that each one of us that are christians or attend church services don't always agree with the priests/pastors but are we to blame?

The Clintons, at one time I respected them. Not anymore. The longer this election continues I realize that for so long the Clintons have lied and manipulated the American People. Can no longer stand by them. Look what appeared on last night on almost every channel, no it was not Barack or Rev. Wright, it was how Mrs. Clinton deceived the American people by telling them of snipers reported in Baghdad and having to run to cars for safety. Check it out it's all on the news and all over the internet. She lied once more to make Americans believe she has all this experience in foreign policy.

After seeing and reading all this on last night I certainly made up my mind, she does not have to answer the phone at 3:00 AM in the White House. Oh No. Too many lies.

Clintonites keep saying that Michigan and Florida should be counted. It will never happen or the democratic party will be a laughing stock.

A cynic would note that Hillary was the only major candidate whose name was on the ballot in Michigan, running against "uncommitted," and that she was also favored to win Florida after none of the other candidates campaigned in the state.

They would be counted if they had not moved their primary dates up so they would be in the limelight against the wishes of the democratic party.

The canditates agreed and then Hillary did not go along with the agreement because she is going to be crowned president, one way or the other.

The other canditates did not campaign in Florida and Hillary and "uncommitted" were the only ones on the ballot in Michigan. Still uncommitted got over 35% of the vote in Michigan.

"Clinton was the only top-tier presidential candidate on the ballot in the Democratic primary in Michigan, and she carried 58 percent of the overall vote, while 37 percent of the voters in the Democratic primary chose to vote uncommitted."

Face it, if Florida and Michigan are counted as they stand, the democratic party will be ruined for years.

Fischer sounds like a jerk. And I am so sick of people saying Hillary should leave the race. I don't see where Obama has enough delegates to be the nominee. The problem for Obama is the more we get to know him the more we don't want him. Frankly, he is an empty suit. And the Democrats and national media better get out of their Obama-induced coma. He is unelectable in November. I just saw the latest national polls. Hillary is leading in almost all of them. A former Edwards supporter who now believes Hillary is the one.

According to recent polls, approximately the same number of voters want Clinton to be the nominee as want Obama to be the nominee, though Obama supporters are trying to characterize this race as a rout, with Clinton ungraciously trying to crawl and scrape her way to the presidency no matter what. It seems that Obama supporters are saying their supporters are more deserving and entitled than Clinton's to have it their way, or that support for Clinton is somehow invalid, having been hijacked by the Clinton's supposed win at any cost brand of politics. The truth is, I'm just a middle-aged, middle class white female Clinton supporter who believes that she will help a broader spectrum of the American populace than Obama can.
Relax, please let the rest of the voters have their say... maybe take some time to consider that Florida and Michigan voters have a right to be heard too. This is supposed to be a democratic contest, not a coronation, so why can't we trust in the process and let it play out?

I would like to know if Senator Clinton ever came under sniper fire at any place at any time? You see, I wonder if she is an out and out liar, or if she simply mistook one place for another. If it never happened anywhere, then she is probably the biggest liar on the political stage right now and should be shamed for it. This is no "minor blip". You can't "remember" running with your head down straight to your car under sniper fire if it never happened. I won't be able to believe anything she says after this.

He has Rezko, who is another good friend of many years, who is under endictment for Real Estate Fraud, and helped Obama by financing his house. Talk has to be followed by action, and He hasn't had the first meeting in the defense team he is suppose to be handling on Afghanistan, did I mention January of 2007. Lets see that is 14 months now.. He said he has been too busy campaigning.. Ok.. So who is meeting on Afghanistan? No One.. He voted 129 times present and could not make up his mind to vote yes or no as a senator..Not to mention he just constantly slams Hillary, calling her a monster, her husband a racist, and trys to say she hasn't got the experience. The Clintons continue to stand above this nonsense. They have 20 years in politics and the only thing anyone has on Bill is Monica.. Hillary is what she says she is and her experience and credentials check out.. She has now 34 top military officials, including Generals supporting her. Hillary has the experience, and a plan I can support. You Go Girl!

The Obama "image" is disintegrating at a precipitous pace.

First, he told us he was going to run a campaign based on hope, a new kind of politics. He railed against the "politics of destruction". So why is he going there now? Desperation?

Second, he told us he wanted to "unite" us and he was uniquely qualified to do it. Now, we find out he's spent the last 20 years being indoctrinated in a religious philosophy which places Africa before America and teaches hatred for whites and the american government.

Third, he and his surrogates have taken to calling Clinton, disingenous, divisive, misleading, will do anything to win, blah, blah blah.

Was it not disingenous to tell us at the SC debate that he did "about five hours worth of work for Rezko"? And what about his clearly misrepresented relationship with Exelon?

Was it not misleading to deny and then later admit that his representative had met with the Canadian consul about NAFTA?

Was it not misleading to say he had never heard Rev Wright's comments himself only to change his story three days later and say he had?

Did it not show that he would do anything to win when he publicly dispared his own grandmother as a racist then later called her a "typical white person"?

Finally, is it not divisive to tell Americans that you will not disengage yourself from a church and pastor that are clearly racist and anti-American?

Upon refection, Obama seems to have been a lot of smoke and mirrors.

Obama thinks nothing of what Rev Wright said and has been saying for 20 years but criticizes Bill Clinton for one remark that he arrogantly perceived was directed at him????? Maybe he should have paid as much attention in church as he does on the campaign trail.

Where are Hillary's tax returns? She promised Tim Russert in the debate in Cleveland that she would release her tax returns soon. That was a long time ago. Is she afraid there may be another blowup when the American people find out about all the money Bill has received from foreign swindlers whild his wife was a senator from New York doing their bidding?

Ah, the Clinton campaign has finally capitulated and has taken a key attack strategy from the conservative playbook: If you can't beat them on substance, question their patriotism.

The department supervisor of that contractor that got into the passport files was a former mid-level appointee in the Clinton administration that was given an ambassadorship by Bill Clinton late in his presidency. She left her job a few days ago aand is curiously unavailable for comment.

Their problem was that they stood behind him so much even as he and Hillary kept stinking up the place with corruption and scandal that Gore and Kerry had no choice but to stay as far away from him as they could for fear of smelling like last week's garbage.

Geez, wonder why the passportgate has been swept under the rug by the media. Could it be that they found out that one of the people that was fired worked for a firm that was owned by a top Obama advisor????? But hey, Obama is not your run of the mill politician - he is a super duper lying conniving attorney politician. Instead of reporting on this bit of news, the media instead focuses on some statement Hillary made re Bosnia. Another example of how the media is trying to manipulate this election.

Obviously, the Obama defense is now to trade diatribes at each and every opportunity. Who can argue with the tactic in that the Clinton couple are political animals with a single perspective and are getting their double cheeked butts beat by a political novice. They are mad and off balance and running an incompetent, amateurish campaign.

What amazes me is the intellectual numbness of the campaign staffers that continues to follow her deeper and deeper into political obscurity. They will never be viewed individually or collectively as competent craftspeople or skilled operatives. They might be better advised to run for the hills and go get a real job before the George Bush Iraq war drives the global economy into a deep recession. The contest was won by Senator Obama months ago and any and all continued efforts more so resembles obscure and ancient Catholic self flagellation than running a campaign.

The staffers might simply review the previous Clinton couple castaways (including Carville and many others) to best understand the littleness of contributions and worth. You are presently being cast aside and the Clinton future is already being planned and assembled. Soon, you will be meekly thanked and the Clinton couple will be on the beach in Anguilla recasting the loss in reassembled Clinton terms and rationalized legacy.

Yah, the comment on the dress was real tacky. This destructive exchange needs to come to an end, if only so that all involved can get some sleep and think a minute before they stumble into inflammatory remarks.. A. Gore, J. Carter, N. Pelosi, etc. need to push this business to a close. It seems like Clinton is trying to "lawyer" her way to the nomination with weak arguments.

As to Hillary's "winning the big states," it matters little whether she won in states like CA & NY over Obama. They will go Demo in the general. Same for TX: it will go Rep in the general. The only issue about "electability" is how each of them stack up vs. McCain in propective electoral votes. That equation looks (again) just about even or a slight edge to Obama. Let's get on to the main event!

In other words, Clinton needs to provide an act of grace equal to Gore's concession after the S.Ct.'s decision in Bush vs. Gore. I am skeptical, however, that either Clinton or their troops have an ounce of grace in them. Their drowning desperation may only pull all the Demos down with them.

The sad thing about the Dem party is the visceral hatred of the Clintons by folks like Kerry, Gore, Bradley, Kennedy, among others. Each and every one of these folks ["Losers"] abandoned Bubba in 2000 and 2004 and lost the Election. These folks appear to be hell bent on doing everything they can to lose the 2008 Election because of this hatred. The 1990s were the best time for the majority of all folks in our nations history.

She had not heard such comments in her 20 years in the pews. She was asked. what would you have done had you heard them. I would have talked to Rev. Wright. Fox's Major Garrett asked if she would have quit the church. She said if after the talk he continued his rants she would quit.

She made a brilliant, Lincoln like, speech on Tuesday, 3/18/08 stating she was aware of Wrights statements, which contradicted what she said on Friday. Same ole Clintons. Liars liars pants on fire.

In defending her pastor she spent 7 paragraphs defending her old uncle pastor and comparing him to her old loving grandmother who got nervous when she met black men. Wright was no worse than her grandmother. She went on and talked about all white's being typical. Everyone was racist except her.

Wait a minute . That wasn,t Hillary was it. Dang , Obama is so good at changing statements to suit his purposes, I got confused. I apologize Barack. I know you don't lie? Do you? Only the Clintons. Yeah?

Velo- the point of your post should not be lost in your choice of language. It's right. I voted for "W" in 2000 as a reflex reaction to the disgrace Bill Clinton brought to the White House. Then, in 2004, I froze my hands and feet for months standing on a street corner waving with my Kerry/Edwards sign. The Clintons gave us George Bush, but the people who voted for him twice are the little "piglets" of our nation.

Many longtime DEMS say that they will vote for McCain rather than ever vote for BARRY NOBAMA. I certainly agree. I have always voted DEM but will never vote for Barry NObama under any circumstance. If Hillary is not nominated my vote goes to John McCain. NObama hates all non-whites and so does his militant wife who is ashamed of America unless it nominates Barry NOBAMA.

I am constantly amazed at the gutter level of some of these posts. I am an Obama supporter; this does not mean that should Senator Clinton win the nomination I will stay at home and not vote. To do so would give the Republican candidate two votes. Four more years of the continuing of the current administration would surely finish off what Bush II started and intends to pass along. And the country I was born to and love would be further diminished if not totally ruined. My faith that the American people are smarter than the 'talking heads' surmise is unshaken. My faith that the two sermons of Dr. Wright that are looped endlessly will not determine the election is also unshaken -- so far. Keep the faith, folks. And for the sake of the country you claim to love, do not stay away from the voting booth should your candidate not become the Democratic nominee. Compounded lunacy would give us John McCain.

As the cabin lurched back and forth and the sounds of rocket fire percussed the urgent, faltering rhythm of our right engine, I unfastened my seat belt, and, finding my center of gravity, rose from my seat, moving past aides frozen stock still in their chairs, arms locked like girders against their arm rests in terror, and walked up the center aisle to the pilot's cabin.

"How long to Kosovo"? I shouted over the screaming whine of the altimeter's alarm, marking our steep descent. The pilot turned, looked at me in shocked recognition--"How...how did you make it up here? No one has ever walked up here in these conditions before! How..."

"Never mind that!" I barked, with what I hoped was a not too stern forcefulness, combined with sufficient steel and empathy to create the appearance of a firm imperturbability. "Check the master FMC! Is it working or has it failed?"

The pilot, paused, as if in amazement at my readiness, and then himself awakening to crisis, looked to the Control Display Unit . "It's down! It's down!" he shouted. A bead of sweat began to form on his brow.

I knew what I had to do. "Get out of there!" I commanded, and pulled him from the seat, from where he crumbled to a fetal position on the floor behind me. Stepping over him, I took the chair behind the console.

"Check the Central Maintenance Computers and activate the NAV RAD for alternate radio tuning capability!" I shouted to the co-pilot. He, too, had broken down in tears, his head buried in his hands. I looked to his ID on the console. Another newbie.

Well, this was another one where I would have to go it alone.

Quickly, I tore the scarf from my neck and fashioned it into a crude lasso that could be used for EFIS/EICIS control. Catching the lever with my right hand, I activated the cabin loudspeaker with my left. I knew that the passengers had likely been gulled by the earlier soft patter of the pilot. "Brace yourself! Get ready! These aren't just words!" Then I pulled the lever back hard, sending us rocketing towards the runway.

"You'll never make it!" I knew that voice, and turned. Richardson! How did he trundle up to the cabin? "Out of here, Judas! And take that quivering beard with you!"

I could feel bolts straining against Pennsylvania steel as I pushed the '50 down, down, down to the ground below us. Suddenly, an explosion punctuated the sky--Hand held rocket fire at 3' o'clock!

I quickly performed the evasive maneuvers that I had learned for so long, and so well. My face became angry, then sad, then gentle, then intensely serious, then was finally rocked by a powerful squealing, an unnatural burst of laughter. That did it! The rocket exploded harmlessly behind us.

Now. Now it was time to take the stick and bring this shaking, careening flight, parts straining against themselves until nearly ready to burst, down to the ground. I put my arms to the twin arms of the FO-AP, set the APC, and with all of the strength remaining in me, began to push the levers down. Straining, I pushed harder. And harder. I could see the runway rising before us in the glare shield. I would have to find the remaining strength to bring it down.

Finally, as if a burst of superhuman might had been somehow delegated to me, I pushed the levers into locked position. I could hear Penn in the cabin shouting "We're landing...We're going down!" as I felt the rough shock of the landing gear snapping into place.

Sparks flew as we hit the runway, bullets ricocheting off of the cabin, one wheel touching pavement. I looked straight through the windshield--the militia, arms at the ready stood at the runway's end. The last obstacle.

I turned the craft hard, sending it hurtling sideways across the pavement. It swept the militia away in a single screaming motion that combined with the screaming that arose from the cabin, as we continued to move towards the small, makeshift terminal, where the dignitaries, negotiators, and heads of state awaited for my arrival.

I did not close my eyes. I did not let go of the wheel. I watched--as we ground to a halt just before the doors of the terminal.

I looked fore, at the dignitaries protecting themselves from the sniper fire that raged around them. I looked aft, at the passengers, shaken but safe.

We had arrived. All was good.


Just a moment...

Due to the discovery of a video of the above described occasion, I would like to make few small corrections. The flight was in fact actually a regularly scheduled chartered flight that was actually flown by the pilot and co-pilot--although the pilot did have a cold, and during the flight, I did at several times give serious attention to our flight conditions (notes indicate that I found it "a bit bumpy"). I would also note that the dinner, Salmon with Creamed Potatoes, was undercooked, and was served with a Riesling that was unusually dry. It is also true that we were met not by a militia, but by a girl's youth soccer team. However, it was necessary for me to dodge a soccer ball as team members demonstrated their often aggressive skills. No other shots were fired.

In short: I misspoke."

The Wright comments were from 2 sermons and everyone assumes that this is representative of all his sermons. I know that they are not. If the racist comments I have read on this posts are from white people, then I really understand what Obama meant by typical white person. Scary. Just like Wright does not represent a majority of Black people, I sincerely hope these comments are not reflective of the majority of white people. If they are, then God HELP America, because we have truly become a lost nation.

Some of you keep ranting on about comments a preacher made 7 years ago right after 9/11 when emotions were raw. You refuse to acknowledge that these comments were taken out of context, and the "chickens coming home to roost" was a quote from a White ambassador.

Most importantly, you refuse to acknowledge that Obama was not even in attendance when any of these comments were made.

You call Rev. Wright a racist; he is not. The only White people he spoke out against are those who are in power and ruthless. That's not untrue; these people are screwing all of us, White and Black alike.

Yet you get up in arms when the issue of Bill repeatedly cheating on his wife comes up, calling it irrelevant - even though these sexual encounters took place in the White House while Bill was president of the United States of America!

These were Bill's actions, not just words of his pastor. He was disbarred as a lawyer for these actions and impeachment proceedings were held. And Hillary LIED to cover up for him.

This is Christian behavior on the part of the Clintons?

You cannot criticize Rev. Wright for being unChristianlike while supporting the Clintons as Christians. To do so is sheer hypocrisy.

All this can be solved by Obama dropping out.

There's no way he can win nationally and both him and his supporters know that.

Republicans will loop his "Typical White Person", play it 24/7, turn it into a ring-tone, and use it to prove, that in his heart, Obama he feels the same way as Rev Wright does about everyone who isn't Black.

Obama can't hide from 20 years of standing with Rev. Wright, and from choosing Rev Wright as his "spiritual advisor"

Obama supporters can't deny the situation.

All they can do is drag the Democratic party down with them.

The need to wake up and smell the coffee, before its too late.

This election needs to stay focused on who the candidates are, and what comments are made out of their own mouths. There are millions of Americans and many of them feel passionately one way or the other toward their particular candidate.

People say stupid things everyday and while sometimes such comments can be mis-spoken and inappropriate, it does not necessarily reflect the candidates.

What Ferraro, Wright, or this latest guy on the Obama side says is in fact irrelevant to most of us. What is relevant is their individual track records, their ability to inspire and lead and to redirect this county out of a recession and out of a war that we never should have been in in the first place.

Thank god that 99.9% of us aren't followed around 24/7 by cameramen and microphones, otherwise the YouTube site would be closed down by the amount of activity documenting everyone's politically incorrect verbal gaffs...since we all make them and probably daily!

Right now I am disgusted by the ridiculousness of the Democratic parties inability to determine whether they are or they aren't going to seat delegates in Michigan and Florida.

I personally think that they knew what the consequences were going into the race (over a year ago) and now they are all crying "foul play," PLEASE...they all look like idiots!

let's talk in basketball terms, it's like going into a March Madness playoff game knowing that you only have four quarters in a game, but somehow becasue one team decides they don't like the rules, they now want to go back and replay the game with a fifth quarter.

I DON'T THINK SO!!!

I really wanted to vote for Obama, we would never under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER VOTE FOR HILLARY; however, McCain is looking more and more like the guy I'd personally want to answer the phone at "3 am" in an international crisis.

This is all so discouraging. Hillary is going to destroy the Democratic party because she's too stubborn and too ambitious to ever step aside and put the party and the county's best interests as the priority.

If the Democrats lose which each day it is looking more and more like that is exactly what will happen!

In November after the election, we are all going to be standing around wondering what the heck just happened?

McCain, like a stealth jet is quietly getting the real business of political architecture done, while Obama and clinton continue to beat each other over petty ridiculous history and give the Republicans loads of ammunition to fireback on in the general election.

Its about Obama choosing Wright to be his "Spritual Advisor"

It's about Obama's lies.

Its about Obama talking out of"both sides of his mouth.

Obama presented himself as a paragon of virtue and someone on a higher ethical plane than other candidates.

He's repeatedly shown through his actions that he isn't.

He's like a human chameleon.

He turns into a completely different person depending on what group of people he's with.

He's lied to us and fooled us over and over.

America doesn't trust him anymore.

He's toast.

He deserves to be.

The real Barry Obama is a really bad guy.

Hillary is suffering from senility and old age. When asked about "The Bosnian Foreign Trip" experience she said had lost her memory as she misspoke on St. Patrick's Day in Pennsylvania. If that is true, if she had lost her memory and did not remember things correctly, it will be a disaster for Americans to elect a person with dementia.
This is something critical in the race for the White House. The Republicans will use this resume padding, dementia and lost of memory as an attack weapon in November.
Hillary who considers herself ready on day one has again proved that we cannot trust her memory. Once gain she has provided ample proof that she is Divisive, Dishonest, Disingenuous and Dangerous. The Democrats should reject such a person who is divisive, dishonest, disingenuous and dangerous, who will say and do anything for the sake of selfish goals, personal ambition and monetary gains (bribes). She will do anything possible to steal the nomination from Barack Obama.

For many of us, the numbers that we presently see are not accepted as legitimate since the voices of 9% of the electorate (Florida and Michigan) are being excluded. Beyond the legitimacy issue, the reality that Florida and Michigan (collectively) account for 9% of Americans and more than 8% of Democratic delegates will seriously damage Democratic chances of victory. Unless the 9% of our citizens in Florida and Michigan are allowed to have their votes counted, there's no way that the party's nominee can win in the fall. The nominee would certainly loose Florida and Michigan. An even greater problem, however, is that it will be impossible to rally a large part of the electorate around the nominee. Presently this issue is tearing the party apart, and if it isn't resolved, the party will pay in the general election.
In addition to the legitimacy issue, Obama's connection to Jeremiah Wright continues to concern many voters. The images of Barack Obama's minister that appeared in the ABC news report (http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=4443230) can't be forgotten. In the video, Senator Obama's minister states that blacks should not sing 'God Bless America' but 'God damn America'." This one sentence continues to play in my head! Long after Senator Obama has finished with speeches about unity, these angry words from the mouth of his minister of twenty years will live in the memory of the electorate. The Republicans will be much tougher than Hillary Clinton and will certainly have TV commercials showing: 1) Pastor Wright saying "God d**m America" over and over; and 2) Pictures of the congregation being driven to frenzy by the words. When these two scenes are repeated over and over for 26 seconds by the Republicans, the commercial will doom Barack Obama as a presidential candidate.

For many of us, issues of legitimacy and electability cannot be dismissed. I hope this answers your questions.

I am intrigued by the whole thing regarding the accusation that Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico is a "Judas" one of the disciples who betrayed Jesus. When Bill Richardson endorsed Barack Obama, James Carville a Hillary advisor and confidante called Bill Richardson a "Judas".

Hillary made a mistake, she thought she was in Bosnia when she was surrounded by sniper fire. Actually she was in Obamaland when that happened so you can at least excuse her.

The big difference between Obama and HRC? Obama turns out Democrats. HRC turns out Republicans. All those Hillary acolytes who are clinging to the electoral college justification, just keep this in mind. Obama would hold the traditional Democrat states, but in addition, for the first time since the 1960's he puts large segments of the South in play. Sure, Ohio might swing to the Republicans, but Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and perhaps a couple of others might offset that swing nicely.

Long before Monica incidents, as a matter of fact during the first Presidential race on Character issue, and "womanizer" problem, Hillary stood by him and said, "This guy is a great guy" and defended him, without abash. That time, already, I could see that Hillary was going to run for the presidency. She was mapping out her path, despite his shame. I think Bill does not carry a respect, as a person any more, but Hillary is strong. As strong as a monster. She had agenda, and she carries her agenda now. I wonder if their marriage was that of a convenience... Bill's support lacks enthusiasm now. Very very low.

If we were to accept Sen. Clinton's CV, she has served in the White House before as sort of a "co-president" with FPBC. In fact, some argued she was running as the incumbent, when she first started to run. Many thought she would "skate" through the democratic primaries and into the office of president. She carried an air of "inevitability," so it did not bother her to forego MI and FL as per DNC rules. Things, however, did not work out and now she appears to be trying to change the rules in order to hold on to something that slipped away a few primaries ago.

If Sen. Clinton (and F.P. B. Clinton) simply focused on the issues and had a greater chance of re-taking winning, then perhaps I would consider the fight between Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton to be healthy for the party and ultimately for our country. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the strategy. Instead the strategy appears to be hurl a negative at Sen. Obama's camp; wait for a response; then claim Sen. Obama broke his pledge not to engage in the "same ole" negative politics. The media joins in by saying if "Sen. Obama does not respond, then he is "too soft" to be president." This is much like a playground where two people are encouraged to fight or risk being called chicken. So weird....

I don't doubt either candidate's love for this country or their patriotism irrespective of the media (or youtube). I don't doubt either candidate's christian beliefs irrespective of the media's (or youtube) portrayal. I just think that for us to get lost in the ad hominem attacks, the innuendos questioning patriotism and love of god, we are losing focus of the real issues that impact us as Americans - jobs, veteran's issues, economic growth, health care, etc....

I'm ready for a new narrative, not the one created or manufactured by the media or the candidates and their media surrogates.

I think there is a stark contrast that Williams failed to acknowledge, that being Carville, Ferraro and Wolfson have failed to apologize and have remained adamant about their incendiary statements. While Fisher and Powers both swiftly realized the err of their statements, rebuked their own statements and apologized. To me that speaks volumes.

+Obama says "he won't wear, uh, that pin" - THE UNITED STATES FLAG on his clothing(because he doesn't think it's patriotic), and yet he wants us to elect him as President to uphold the very ideal of the US flag.

+Obama purposely doesn't put his hand on his heart during the National Anthem, and yet we're supposed to believe he is the candidate to make America a better place.

+Obama's wife only becomes proud of her country when her husband is doing good in the primaries, this must be the hate from Pastor Wright spilling out, uncontrollably.

+Obama strips the "of the United States" out of the Preamble to our Constitution during his speech. Here's how it should go: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity , do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." +Obama purposely doesn't put his hand on his heart during the National Anthem, and yet we're supposed to believe he is the candidate to make America a better place.

+Obama's wife only becomes proud of her country when her husband is doing good in the primaries, this must be the hate from Pastor Wright spilling out, uncontrollably.

+Obama strips the "of the United States" out of the Preamble to our Constitution during his speech. Here's how it should go: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity , do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." This apparently is an attempt to make us think that we are not the "United" States, and what, that he is the messiah that will bring us the iron hand of change and justice for our "imperfect" union?(now that is scary).

+Obama himself runs a "damage control" speech and instead of saying sorry for anything or actually calling out the true character of his extremist Pastor, he tries to have America sympathize with this extremist and poisonous character and actually accept him into the white house.


The pattern is obvious, Obama seeks to radically change our great United States of America, but the real question is it going to be a good thing? I think not!

How can we trust a man like Obama that has been acting like this is a big college frat popularity contest! A man that has been hitting all time lows with some of the "remarks" he and his party have been slinging Hillary's way, AND the same man that has denounced the fact that he is still half "white", while teaching his daughter's hate with the white race in church. They are part white too...So far what he spews out of his mouth; as to "HOW" the US should be, does not match his actions, he is very immature! A black democratic Bush that hates whites! I will not be voting democratic should he be on the ballot...Exactly what the Republicans are betting on! =)

You are right, this is squabbling. The person who is behind in the delegates should drop out as the republican candidates have done. And we all know who that is. But she will be crowned or else. The democratic party be da----.

She made a speech today that is so much like Senator Obama's previous letter that it sounds just like it. Frightening. Yet she thinks the American public won't know the difference. And a lot won't know the difference (or care).

Sen. Clinton and F.P. B. Clinton have waged a good (but nasty) fight, however now I believe she, F.P Clinton, and their surrogates have become too negative and should seriously consider what is good for the Democratic Party rather than there own legacies and gracefully step aside for a new generation of leaders. Both have shown themselves to be mired in a politic that seems to thrive on personal attacks, personal loyalties, and favors that benefit the few versus the many. I know I'm ready for a fresh approach that does not involve either Clinton or Bush, or someone trying to extend Bush's policies for another 4 years. Attacking Gov. Richardson does not facilitate real change or address the issues at hand, like the war in Iraq and 4000+ dead Americans.

In my mind, Gov. Richardson is an American who has served our country well (period). I'm not sure he owes anything other than gratitude to F.P.B. Clinton. Does Mr. Carville feel Gov. Richardson now owe Mrs. Clinton for opportunities extended by Mr. Clinton? I'm confused by his attack. Mr. Carville's comments are sad and represent the old politics of attack-the-person versus debate the issues. And much like the Clinton's he represents very little difference from what we have seen over the last eight years - "be loyal to me and my ideas no matter how flawed they might be or risk losing your job and being crushed by my media surrogates."

It's time for a change.

He is the spiritual adviser for Senator Obama, The good Senator has acknowledged him as the man who keeps his moral compass aligned. He may not be on the ballot, but his teachings certainly are. Were the comments made by the "spiritual adviser" of any one running for office I would not vote for them for fear of finding out the hard way that the person I elected shared those opinions. As for kissing the white house goodbye? I think that no matter who we pick thats already done. Consider this, is this squabbling or debating? I thought that this was the very time to debate the candidates qualifications. Perhaps picking a better candidate for the Democrats would work better next time around.

Quite amazing how folks on both sides continue to shoot themselves in the foot (or dress). Clearly Bill was on the defensive on this one as nobody but a naive soul, or Richardson looking to extend any kind of olive leaf back to the Clintons, could think that Bill was trying to do anything by indirectly slam Obama's patriotism. But this issue is now lost over a tactless stupid remark. Both sides have guilty associated advocates who have spoken rather than thought (Hey Ferraro, some more than once). Boy, how did these folks rise to such positions of power?

Bottom line is this, we are not voting for or against Rev. Wright, He is not on the ballot.
If my vote was cast according to what my pastor says, we would be in worse shape than we are.

We all know the Clinton dirt. It has been hashed and re-hashed many times. It is fine for some to talk about the past on Clinton, but Obama's past is off limits. Bottom line is this, Rev. Wright is a racist. He has become the very thing he started fighting against. He still thinks its 1965. You cant use the tactics from that era to change things in this one. Things have changed and will continue to in spite of the Bigotry of Whites and Blacks. I have asked the question many times if Rev. Wright was a white preacher and said those comments in Clinton's church what would be happening now? I think we all know the answer to that. Does Obama support this man and his actions? He has for 20 years. Or at least he supported him and what he stood for until it became public, then he took a very weak stand against things he said. Both Obamamaniacs and Clintonites need to get a grip. They are politicians, they will tell the people in front of them what they want to hear, and that is seldom the truth. Consider that when making your choice. Who can get the most done in Washington and is the best liar. If you listen to the Obama supporters, by their own admission Hillery is the choice to make!

I think that the specter of "Monica" should be raised. I mean Bill will be back in the Whitehouse and that needs to be understood, and all that this entails.

The religious conservatives will be fanatical in their venom to not allow this to happen. Hillary they are dead set against, but Bill as well.

People need to understand that the "Monica" issue is going to only get worse if Hillary is, god forbid, nominated.

Though I guess, personally, I don't blame Bill too much. I have never seen a political figure that was less warm and fuzzy. Can you imagine snuggling up to Hillary?

No, Wright is not a "crazy bitter old man." He's also not a "racist" or an "america-hater".

Wright is a respected preacher, with some controversial but defensible political positions (OK, except the AIDS thing), who went over the top a couple times and was smeared for it by media eager for a sensationalist story.

How do you think you would look if your top 3 angriest and most boneheaded moments were run 24/7 on national TV?

Why is it not ok to vote based on racism, sexism or ageism but somehow OK vote based on Clinton favoritism. After so many years of 'old-style politics' it's understandable we're having some backsliding, particularly by older politicos. Lee Atwater began his career in 1980.

The important thing is that we're not putting up with this stuff any more, and eventually the habit will be broken.

Obama has divided the Democrat party. He cannot carry Florida, Ohio or Pennsylvania. These are NECESSARY to actually WIN a General Election. So, wake up Democrats. Please look at any historical data in General Elections! Look at the importance of Ohio and Florida! And look at the blue and red. The entire U S map is almost all blue in a General Election, but when the swing states go red, we win. This will not happen with Obama. He needs to step down so we can try and rebuild this party and actually win the General Election. Too many are just interested in the Democrat nominee. Super Delegates, please do your job!

Sen. Barack Obama is a gifted and eloquent speaker. His Tuesday speech on race relations was a beautiful example of his style. It was not a "speech for the ages." Rather, it was a politically expedient attempt to divert attention from the real issue, which is not race relations at all, but rather Sen. Obama's judgment, or the lack thereof, with respect to the inflammatory and polemical views expressed by his pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Sen. Obama has made a touchstone of his campaign for the presidency that it is not so much experience that counts, but rather judgment. While experience is much more important than he would have the electorate believe, he is right to focus on judgment as a critical factor in the determination as to whom should be our next president.

If Sen. Obama is the Democratic nominee, as he very well may be, then voters in November should ask themselves not how good his speech was, but rather what kind of judgment has he actually exhibited with respect to the deeply divisive views of the Rev. Wright.

Why is the Press still considering her a viable candidate? She doesn't have the votes, the delegates or the money to win. All she has is press coverage. She can't win the nomination without destroying the Party. If she destroys the Party, she can't win the election. Sounds like she can't win either way. Time to end it Hillary.
