McCain Aide Suspended Over Video Forward

By Garance Franke-Ruta
Talk about problems campaigns didn't used to have: Arizona Sen. John McCain's campaign today suspended Soren Dayton, a low-level aide in the political department, after he forwarded an inflammatory anti-Obama YouTube video mashup to his private Twitter feed.

Dayton, a D.C.-based political consultant who wrote the popular Iowa-centric blog Eyeon08 until joining the McCain campaign in January, sent a feed -- known as a "tweet" -- to his private Twitter blog account at 12:31 p.m. saying "Good video on Obama and Wright," and providing a link to the video "Is Obama Wright? - Pastor Jeremiah Wright & Senator Barack".

Spliced together by the conservative Salem Radio Network's director of strategic content Lee Habeeb, the video has been viewed more than 53,000 times so far and links Sen. Barack Obama and his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, to Nation of Islam leader Malcolm X, and focuses on statements made by Obama that conservatives say raise doubts about his patriotism.

Dayton's tweet was seized upon by a keen-eyed political operative who forwarded a link to what turned out to be a dead page to Greg Sargent, a reporter for liberal blog network TPM Media. Informed that Dayton's Twitter page had already been taken down, the source then sent Sargent a screen-grab, reproduced above.

The McCain campaign confirmed the dead page was Dayton's by issuing a statement.

"We have been very clear on the type of campaign we intend to run and this staffer acted in violation of our policy," said McCain spokeswoman Jill Hazelbaker. "He has been reprimanded by campaign leadership and suspended from the campaign."

Reached via the cell phone number listed on his Facebook page for comment, Dayton said "I can't," and hung up. The length of his suspension was not made public.

This is the second incident in the past week in which McCain campaign aides have highlighted Obama's ties to Wright -- ties believed to be behind Obama's recent dip in polls. Last Friday, McCain press aides distributed an incidendiary Wall Street Journal op-ed by Newsmax reporter Ronald Kessler (Kessler used to write for The Post) as part of a package of clips, before calling the move an "error."

The McCain campaign has repeatedly said it intends to run a campaign free of personal attacks, and McCain himself told Fox News recently that he did not believe Obama shares Wright's views.

Dayton's suspension once again illustrates the hazards of the new technologies -- which encourage casual one-to-many communications in tight-knit online communities -- to campaigns, which attempt to tightly control messages and communications with the broader public.

Former North Carolina senator John Edwards saw two blogger-technologists resign in early 2007 after their personal blog remarks on Catholicism raised the ire of the Catholic League, and earlier this year Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign was faced with a controversy when an Iowa volunteer, who also resigned, was found to have forwarded an e-mail falsely asserting that Obama was a Muslim.

Remember when you dig a hole for someone else you fall into it yourself. If Hillary thought the Red Phone would scare us she was wrong. Obama should campaign or run an ad showing someone receiving a PINK SLIP (being laid off) that is more real to us who have lost our jobs, due to work being sent overseas.

Obama's efforts to connect to the Republican Party, specifically Bush, and Dick Chaney, of the Halliburton Company, dates back to the Presidents Grandfather, Prescott Bush, and indeed Chaney was once an executive officer of Halliburton.

The American military pounds Iraq with Artillary, bombs, and the like, destroying large sections of cities, and infra-structures, then Halliburton comes in to rebuild. Halliburton and Halliburton associated companies have raked in ten's of billions.

Obama is just like the BIG HALIBURTAN. Haliburton has contracted to build detention centers in the U.S. similiar to the one in Quantanammo Bay, Cuba. Halliburton does nothing to earn the Two Dollars for each meal an American Serviceman in Iraq eats.

http://www.halliburtonwatch.org/

Halliburton was scheduled to take control of the Dubai Ports in The United Arab Emiirate. The deal was canceled when Bush was unable to affect the transfer of the American Ports.

Now we see what some might suspect as similiar financial escapading from the Democrats.

Two years ago, Iraq's Ministry of Electricity gave a $50 million contract to a start-up security company - Companion- owned by now-indicted businessman (TONY REZKO) Tony Rezko and a onetime Chicago cop, Daniel T. Frawley, to train Iraqi power-plant guards in the United States. An Iraqi leadership change left the deal in limbo. Now the company, Companion Security, is working to revive its contract.
Involved along with Antoin "Tony" Rezco, long time friend and neighbor of Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, and former cop Daniel T. Frawley, is Aiham Alsammarae. Alsammarae was accused of financial corruption by Iraqi authorities and jailed in Iraq last year before escaping and returning here.

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON --
Recently, Obama's campaign staff have been vetted by the IRS to disclose his connection to the criminal money generating underworld. Besides, his connections to the REZCO MAFIA types, his up-coming tax fraud charges -- Obama needs to disclose why he is a MUSLIM "PATWANG-FWEEE" and disclose Obama's MUSLIM Farrakhan mob connection to Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. Its minister, and Obama's spiritual adviser, is the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. In 1982, the church launched Trumpet Newsmagazine; Wright's daughters serve as publisher and executive editor. Every year, the magazine makes awards in various categories. Last year, it gave the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award to a man it said "truly epitomized greatness." That man is Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan and Chicago's Trinity United Church are trumpeting Barack Obama AKA Barack Hussein Obama as the second coming of the messiah. Obama should stop suppoting our intervention in IRAQ. It's time to introduce this false, fake Xerox - X box Obama and invite the self-indicting thief plagiarizing pipsqueke "GLORK" Xerox - X box to meet the Buffalo "GAZOWNT-GAZIKKA" Police Department Buffalo Creek. He is MAD!!! --

OBAM YOU'RE NO JFK --

"GLORK" Obama looks like Alfred E. Newman: "Tales Calculated To Drive You." He is a MUSLIM "Glork" He's MAD!!! Alfred E. Neuman is the fictional mascot of Mad. The face had drifted through American pictography for decades before being claimed by Mad editor Harvey Kurtzman after he spotted it on the bulletin board in the office of Ballantine Books editor Bernard Shir-Cliff, later a contributor to various magazines created by Kurtzman.
Obama needs to disclose why he is a MUSLIM "PATWANG-FWEEE" and stop suppoting our intervention in IRAQ. It's time to introduce this false, fake "GLORK" Xerox - X box Obama and invite the self-indicting thief plagiarizing pipsqueke Xerox - X box to meet the Buffalo "GAZOWNT-GAZIKKA" Police Department Buffalo Creek.

Michelle Obama should be ashamed.

"GLORK" Michelle Obama should be ashamed of her separatist-racist connection to Farrakhan and Chicago's Trinity United Church trumpeting Barack Obama AKA Barack Hussein Obama as the second coming of the messiah. If Michelle Obama new what her husband -- the Hope-A-Dope, Fonster Monster -- Barack Obama AKA Barack Hussein Obama did in Harlem, she would wash her wide-open, Hus-suey loving MUSILM mouth out, with twenty-four (24) mule-team double-cross X-boX-BorraX. He is a MUSLIM "Glork" It's time to introduce this false, fake "GLORK" Xerox - X box Obama and invite the self-indicting thief plagiarizing pipsqueke Xerox - X box to meet the Buffalo "GAZOWNT-GAZIKKA" Police Department Buffalo Creek. THE SPEECH --

The Apologia has arrived and once again the self-indicting, separatist-racist Barack Obama AKA Barack Hussein Obama, promises to heal the wounds of the world. The speech is the rude awakening of mass messianism of his campaign. Apologetically, Obama the MUSLIM double-cross X-boX-BorraX has an astonishingly empty two-prawn echelon explanation of his misjudgment.
In the first prawn: with regard to his connection to separatist-racist Rev. Wright; Obama summons voodoo and juju to express slavery as beginning and ending with the Rev. Wright.
In the second prawn: Obama's speech takes credit for Ashley's dream. A dream of unity Martin Luther King, Jr. borrowed from Ashley for his historic "I Have A Dream" speech. In Obama's speech, the connective bond Ashley, the elderly black man and Obama's grandmother share; represents Obama's self-indicting rise to the Harvard Yard. For Obama, the grand flag of language is the semi-fore of words, bestowed upon our nation by the messiah-alumni from Harvard. Obama's Swoon-Song Apologia to the nation represents a failed hymn -- a hymn that fails to heal the nation, repair the world, or make this time different than all the rest. Obama's speech is a brilliant failure.

"McCain's " Jeckyl and Hyde" act will be exposed more and more as the campaigns proceed."

Posted by: mozai3

McCain's temper and intemperate outbursts could be a problem for him. However, he will be able to fly mostly under the radar until the Democrats resolve their nomination process. That is unlikely to occur until the convention now. That gives McCain only a two month period to have to mind his p's and q's.

McCain's " Jeckyl and Hyde" act will be exposed more and more as the campaigns proceed. His explpsive temper and
mean-spirited jokes are well known already, and it is just a matter of time before his affable act wears thin and his political pandering and hypocrisy become more evident.
This is a man with whose quick 'trigger" should be nowhere within shouting distance of the White House.

Good for McCain. If it is Obama v McCain I think we will see an almost reasonable campaign. Neither side can still control the independent groups. If it is McCain v Clinton I don't see how it stays above board.

From this article: "in which McCain campaign aides have highlighted Obama's ties to Wright" - What? It's not as if this story wasn't all over the media for over a week. Suddenly this person does a link to an existing video (which did accentuate, but did not alter (apparently) the words of those in it) on the internet and gets canned. I do appreciate the McCain campaign's desire to stay the high road, and I actually believe they want to stay there. BUT, this story is all over the media.

I for one am glad - it highlights the bigotry and the core of the values system Senator Obama has been under for the past nearly 20 years. Americans have a RIGHT to know this about their prospective leaders in any office. As an early comment made clear, President Bush didn't hide his faith and how it impacts his policy stances. Obama is part of a faith/practice that was rejected by Oprah (she left the church) and others because it is rooted in bigotry, hatred and unwillingness to forgive and see the blessings of the work of many people over the last 50 years, black, white, and others alike.

I wrote a blog on the underlying sentiment at www.danmosqueda.blogspot.com. As an Hispanic American, I'm disappointed that even a small segment of our society refuses to recognize the opportunity this country presents its citizens and immigrants.

I am particularly disgusted by politicians who would have no career if they didn't foment and string this hatred along and ensure our fellow Americans who happen to be African Americans are "kept down" and "with his race speech, Obama became a peddler of angst, resentment and despair. Too bad he doesn't direct that angst at the liberal establishment that has sold black people a bill of goods since the 1960s." (from Ed Kaitz).

Does anyone know if the Obama campaign provided that photo of Rev. Wright with Bill Clinton? Doesn't that just give the news yet another excuse to run the video of Wright's rantings? How does that turn the page?

Of course Obama's poll is down right now. With McCain campaign distributing Wright's comments to all media outlets. Fox is pounding Barack every day. Compound that with both Clinton's pro McCain's remark. 3 against 1. What is the guy to do? News last night about breach of his personal data at State Dept. Every body seems to be against him. If he can over come this it shows of his leadership not only here but around the world. Good Luck to you Barack. I am praying for you.

In the midst of this frenzy of guilt by association and character assassination, when will some respected public figure with a knowledge of the 20th century history of this sometimes deeply flawed government of ours finally say "You've done enough. FIRED! REMEMBER POEPLE THIS IS A FREE SPEECH COUNTRY! OBAMAS ADVISOR CAN TOUT RACISM AND ANTI-AMEREICAN HATRED AND HIS CURCH SELLS THE DVDS! I HOPE EVERYINE PLAYS THE WRIGHT VIDEO ALL DAY AND NIGHT! OBAMA IS A RACIST!!!All the obama supporters are defending him staying at the church, ALL the black ministers are defending Wrights preaching, that simply tells ALL Americans they also support his feelings of anti- America and white hatred that the church preaches. No one says Obama cant attend the church for 20 years, or raise his daughters to be racist like his wife, what we ARE SAYING is that HE CANNOT REPRESENT ALL OF AMERCIA AS U.S. PRESIDENT! Rev Wright was and most likely still is a paid advisor on Obamas campaign??? Obama and David Axelrod insisted that Obama be the black candidate early in SC when they tried to spin it on Bill Clinton, it worked for the biased tabloid media like CNN cronies, since then, we ALL have come to realize Obama has problems with the truth and we learned this week for sure where his faith and true beliefs are, its obvious THERES ABSOLUTLY NO CHANGE WITH OBAMA, HE WILL DRAG U.S. BACK TO THE 60'S RACIAL DIVIDE at a time our country needs to unite. He cannot do that, no matter how many black news casts tell you he can

OBAMA STANDS BEHIND SPIRITAL ADVISOR WRIGHT!
"Wright is like an uncle you love and respect" As imperfect as he may be, he has been family to me for so many years, I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community, said Obama. The man who believes and preaches the U.S. government formulated the HIV AIDS virus to commit genocide against blacks also preaches "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye on 9/11. This is the same man Obama had as advisor on his Presidential staff until this week. Rather than break ties with his demagogic, anti-American pastor, Obama used a speech on the non-back race to excuse his behavior and sweep the controversy under the rug. Passing the buck. Obama supposedly condemning Wright's shocking verbal assaults against the U.S and White Americans, but April last year; Obama was the first and quickest to demand Imus' ouster for making a racially insensitive remarks. His opinions and issues change with the weather, he is too UNSTABLE and proven he cannot make a decision or stay with one. Next we have ALL corrupt campaign financers, business and personal friends as indicted Rezko, former Dallas Mayor Hill, Rep. Rick Renzi and Mr. Auchi, leading supplier of arms to Saddam's regime convicted for corruption in France, the same British-Iraqi billionaire lent millions and millions of dollars to Obama all coming out of the woodwork. ALL this from the half black ex-Muslim who touts change and claims to be a uniter of all people? Proof he is just another in-experienced Washington politician that the media has like CNN has given a free pass at the great risk of our great country! There will soon be allot more video of Rev Wright and Obama coming, all this has proven without doubt if he is the nominee the democrat voters he cannot win the general election, just the black vote will not do it. Its time for Obama to leave this race and take his not so proud of America racist wife, spiritual advisor and anti white church with him..

Ignorance and racism are synonymous! America's greatest sin is slavery! It is delusional to believe that America has been kind to African Americans. The most silent places during slavery were the churches in the south. Rev. Jeremiah Wright is exercising his Constitutional first amendment right for which African Americans fought, sacrificed and died. Rev. Wright served this country as a Marine and has earned the right to admonish his country for it's many egregious sins. Any insidious ingrate that is too fragile for our cherished Constitutional freedoms for which so many brave people, including Rev. Jeremiah Wright's, sacrificed so much, should find another country. Bon Voyage!

by the way edbyronadams,
Your NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer!! its not racist to say that the government is spreading AIDS in the black community, it's ignorant! there is a difference!!! Ignorance is the condition of being uninformed or uneducated, lacking knowledge or information. And clearly anyone that thinks that AIDS is spread by anything is ignorant...HIV CAN be spread not AIDS, AIDS is the end stage of HIV infection, a result of being infected with HIV. While the rate of HIV infection is steadily increasing in the black community and, others as well, I wonder if the billions spent on the republican war in IRAQ could have helped bring that rate down?? hmmm just a thought!!

Well we've seen the reports of him throwing his influence around to help a "female friend". Now we have seen stooges being "suspended" for doctoring tapes to make Obama look bad. What else does he and RNC have up their sleeves?
We hear a lot about him being a "hero" Is there anyone in this world who can comfirm that? Every time he gets caught doing something shady, it' mentioned that he was a POW. His father was very influential back then. Just like Bushs' father helped him.
McCain has said in the past that torture does not work. Well he would have to say that. Being a POW he would not say that it works. Or he would have to tell us what they got out of him. Has he condemned "waterboarding"? Has he said that if elected that practice would stop?
Somebody get Vietnam on the phone. There must be records. I've never heard anyone question his captivity. Am I rude? If it hasn't been vetted, then I'm not. Lets' face it, the RNC swift boated a war hero. Even after men he served with, men who were there said that all facts were true. The RNC are very afraid that they are going to lose their meal ticket in November. They will lie, cheat and steal to stay on top. McCain is not a maverick. He's a deal maker.

I believe it's Sen. Obama, NOT Rev. Wright that is running for President!
To say that Sen. Obama has the same views is just ridiculous. My grandmother uses the N word every now and then, and I HATE to hear it.(by the way we are both Black or African American whatever people want to call us that's Politically Correct these days) She also says a lot of things that I agree with which have helped to guide me through life. But, I'll never tell she is wrong! I have attended sermons of fire & brimstone and may not have agreed with everything i hear but never thought for once that I would say to the Reverend "hey Rev you're wrong!" It's just not the thing to do!!! I think we all know someone close to us that may have some inflammatory views that we don't agree with and to be labeled guilty by association because of it is just UNFAIR !!!! I used to and still do listen to Public Enemy... Does that mean I want to start a black revolution or have animosity for whites??
It's idiotic to think so..........
I could care less what goes on behind the doors of Sen. Obama's Church, McCain's church or the Clinton's. What matters to me is what will done to pull this country out of the CESSPOOL that the Republican's, lead by BUSH a so called man of GOD, have sunk us into!! It's clear to me McCain wants to dig a deeper cesspool and Sen. Obama wants to get US out of it. As for Hilary, I think she just wants to be President for the SAKE of being one. The sake of saying "hey, my husband & I were both President". So, NO he has not loss my support and anyone who has changed their mind based on this strategical little play on RACE was a WEAK supporter at best anyway!!!! I would hate to see how you would support any family members during their tough times.....

GO OBAMA!!!!!!!

"Is saying that the government is spreading aids in the black community racist?"

As a matter of fact, yes, it is.

Posted by: edbyronadams | March 20, 2008 9:10 PM | Report abuse

You guys need to give it a rest. What did Reverend Wright say that is racist? Is saying God damn America racist? Is saying that Hillary has never been called the n word racist? By the way how many times do you think she has been called that? Is saying that our assistance with Israeli occupation of Palestine is racist? We have by the way. Is saying that the government is spreading aids in the black community racist? It may sound crazy to those not in the black community but for those of us who remember the Tuskegee Syphlis experiment it is not to far fetched. And finally is saying that our country has allowed the spread of crack in the black community racist? Remember Iran Contra anyone?

Those of you who were so shocked by Wright's statement and just cant see how Obama went to his church were not going to vote for him anyway. And if you examine the statements of Wright instead of sheepishly going along with his condemnation you wld see that nothing he said was racist. This country is run by rich white people how is saying this racist?

America has done some foul things in the past and we need to acknowledge that we are not a perfect country and have made mistakes. Ask the blacks, the indians, the japanese, and the chinese about the history of this country and your going to get mixed reviews.

Walk in another mans shoes before you judge him. I understand that many whites perception of this country is different from mine and I accept that. However, I totaly understand Reverend Wrights perspective on these issues. He has done more for his country and community than most of us combined and you have the audacity to judge his life on two minutes of video.

"1. Campaigns draw young, inexperienced, over-zealous supporters like moths to a flame. Things like this are inevitable.

2. This kid joins the campaign recently and McCain responds pretty quickly. OK, it was a bad video, but the kid got the message."

mwcob-

Soren Dayton is not young or inexperienced. He's in his thirties, and he's been a political consultant for years. He's either woefully incompetent, or he will do anything to win. Or both.

The McCain campaign was right to reprimand him quickly, although this is a lack of judgment that should result in a full-on firing, and it's pretty clear they had nothing to do with the linking of the video, but don't make Dayton out to be some naive kid who just made a mistake. He's been in the game long enough to know exactly what he was doing. This is not a case of "he should have known better." It's a case of he DOES know better. He just doesn't care.

Republicans Who can't Stomach McCain:

We are all deeply worried that voting for the leftist McCain is a vote for more government expansion and fiscal irresponsibility. And many of us just won't do it.

My concern is how the Republicans are going to interpret the election results when the Dems win this November... How will Republicans know that we want smaller government if we vote for bigger government...? How will they know we demand fiscal responsibility from them when we vote for fiscal irresponsibility...?

I believe the Reps are going to interpret their upcoming loss as meaning the country wants more leftism, not less. I fear the Reps will turn to MORE fiscal irresponsibility and MORE expansion of government as a way to return themselves to power.

The only way I see them getting the message loud and clear that they are totally screwing up is to write in the name of the only candidate with a history of operating within his budget and not exceeding his constitutional authority. How else will they get the intended message if we send them a different one...?

Don't send them a mixed message. Send a CLEAR one. Write-in Ron Paul. In the words of Samuel Adams: "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds".

Amen to Logan6! I have the same reaction to Obama's Philadelphia Address. It was inspiring and truth-telling. It will stand alongside the Gettysburg Address and Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech as a public expression of what America--for all its contradictions and shortcomings--is all about.

I am white. And I have not the least objection to Obama having been a member of that church and hearing Wright's sermons. Yes, they were inflammatory and--to white ears--offensive. And yes, Obama was right on point by dissenting from their "static view" of America. Obama is part of that church because he is part of black America, and I honor him for not cravenly shrinking from that part of our collective experience. The "safe" thing to have done would been to have quit that church several years ago. But I am tired of politicians just doing what is "safe" and calculated. Let Obama go to his church with that part of his people, and let him speak--from experience, not from hearsay--to non-white America about what that means to us collectively. We are all in this together.

And to those of my fellow white Americans who profess to be so "shocked! shocked!" at what Wright had to say, I suggest that you go read what Jeremiah and Hosea and their colleagues had to say to in ancient Jerusalem about their people's shortcomings. Think about Wright as a voice of the Judeo-Christian tradition, to which I suspect our African-American brothers and sisters are culturally and spiritually a good deal more sensitive.

Shame on those who profess to take offense at Senator Obama. And shame above all on those who purvey fear and hatred using this kind of "evidence." We have not had so honest and thoughatful a candidate for the presidency since the days of A. Lincoln. We should be so lucky as to have him become our president!

Can we have some responses from some "typical white people" please?

Speaking of gaffes........

This is evidence of the damage already done to the democrats chance of winning the election this year. We all know that the right-wing, which McCain does not have much control over, will run negative swiftboat ads like this one day and night on TV when the general election begins. Most voters do not pay attention to politics. They do not watch the debates. They do not visit the candidate's web sites to dissect policy positions. They do watch TV though and they will have a GUT REACTION to Wright's words like God Damn America and America deserved 9/11. At the same time, McCain will be painted in glowing patriotic colors, because you know what - he really does love this country. I am not a McCain supporter, but I have watched him in debates and televised speeches (to get a handle on the opposition) and I have been impressed by his integrity and love of this country. We are in trouble folks. These Wright ads will take the democrats down. And Obama's words will not be enough to save it.

For the most racist and/or partisan in our society, Barack Obama did not settle the pastor Wright issue. However, for those who are open-mind, he did. Barack Obama's gave one of the most powerful political speech in recent politic history. The topic happened to be on the racial issues. The speech was inspirational, described in details the modern racial issues from an historical perspective, and will help unit more americans: not all americans, but more. He laid a big step in the good direction. I would like to hear this type of speech (inspirational, historical and unifier) more often from politicians. I think that Obama would be a great president. He has already a positive impact on America and elsewhere in the world, serving as role model for many people, independently from the race, gender and religion.

The swift-boating is already under way. It's all very nice for the McCain campaign to say piously that they've "reprimanded" and "suspended" their "low-level" campaign aide. The guy's slimy act did the trick anyway.

Both the McCain campaign and the Clinton campaign are doing all they can, barely under the radar, to create Willie-Horton-like fears about Obama. Subliminal guilt-by-association dirty tricks are calculated to foster in ordinary voters "fear and flight" responses. This knavery would seem to be standard nowadays in political campaigns. And it will probably work.

Nice job, "Mr. McClean." Must feel good to be dishing out the Rove-and-George-Bush dirty tricks, instead of being on the receiving end.

And same to you, Ms. "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy," with all those scriblers of yours out there on the blogs, with their "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" drivel.

The Post kept the Jeremiah Wright story under the rug till they were absolutely forced to run it. Of course they kept "macaca" on the front page for 33 days. But, as the ombudsman constantly reminds us, the Post isn't an "agenda driven paper. Yeah, right.

1. Campaigns draw young, inexperienced, over-zealous supporters like moths to a flame. Things like this are inevitable.

2. This kid joins the campaign recently and McCain responds pretty quickly. OK, it was a bad video, but the kid got the message.

3. But Obama goes to this "church" for 17 years and doesn't speak out against the hatred, bigotry and racism until it hurts him in the polls? He had my attention. I liked the guy. But he's lost my support now. I thought he was honest. I thought he had integrity. But you can't tell me that he sat there for 17 years listening to this nutjob, never lifted a finger, never spoke up, but NOW he says he'll start doing the right thing?

There are those who claim Bush is pushing an extremist theocracy. Obama would be no different. At least Bush was up-front about his viewpoints, and didn't try to tapdance around them when he got caught.

The campaigns do know how to use the press to do their bidding...I mean the McCain camp might just as well have called all the Media major outlets and said, "we have this video of Obama looking racist...can you make sure everyone knows about it, and while you're at it, can you make sure it's viewed on you-tube over a million times?"

What I want to find out about is this group called "The Fellowship" that Hillary Clinton belongs to. She has been in this secretive group since 1993. Some of the most conservative Christians in Congress have been in this group like Ashcroft, Brownback and Inhofe. The aim of this group is to have a Christian elite rule the world. They have been tied in the past to bad doings around the world and linked to Suharto and other dictators in South America. WHAT IS CLINTON DOING WITH SUCH A GROUP? It is scary.

Spliced videos are the most dishonest form of political speech. Yet they do exist and have a life of their own. Good on the McCain team for canning the fellow.

Let all other campaign staffs follow suit.
