When it Comes to Spitzer, It's TV on the Radio
By Peter Baker
There's almost nothing Washington loves more than a sex scandal. Doesn't even have to be a politician based here (though it does help when he brings the prostitute to town). So no surprise, then, that DC 101 radio sponsored a "Hooker Block" of songs at midday today in honor of New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer.
Listeners called in some of their favorites. A few that the Trail caught included "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers, "Jane Says" by Jane's Addiction and "Darling Nikki" by Prince, as covered by the Foo Fighters. "I knew a girl named Nikki. I guess you could say she was a sex fiend. I met her in a hotel lobby... " Well, we can't get into what Nikki was doing in the hotel lobby, but you get the drift.
