Clinton Chides Obama for Going 'So Negative'

Note: Please upgrade your Flash plug-in to view our enhanced content.

By Anne E. Kornblut BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hit Sen. Barack Obama for being "so negative" on the campaign trail on Sunday -- and accused him of acting like a Republican in his criticism of her universal health care proposal.

"He has set out mailers, he has run ads, misrepresenting what I have proposed," Clinton said. "I really regret that, because the last thing we need is to have somebody spending as much money as he has downgrading universal health care. We need to achieve universal health care -- not create political opposition to universal health care. That's what the Republicans do, not what the Democrats do."

Clinton is criticizing Obama's ad strategy in the closing days of the Pennsylvania race, saying the Illinois senator has turned negative to compensate for his debate performance last week. After stopping by a diner in Abington outside Philadelphia, Clinton drew thousands to a school gymnasium here, then was headed to stops in Johnstown and State College.

At one point in her Bethlehem appearance, Clinton said her campaign has "been about leaving no one behind" -- a spot of rhetoric that seemed to awkwardly echo the much-spoofed slogan for the unpopular "No Child Left Behind" education legislation Pres. George W. Bush ran on.

Clinton said her goal is "instead bringing us all forward together."

"We're going to work on behalf of these big goals and we're going to produce results for America," she said. "So while my opponent does one thing and his campaign does another, you can count on me to tell you very specifically where I stand."

Later in the speech, Clinton objected to No Child Left Behind itself, and was met with a defeaning roar of cheers.

The divide seems to me to be; Articulate, bright and mostly positive- Vote Obama. Inarticulate, obviously negative and less intelligent- Vote Clinton.
I've read the entire sad commentary and it really does seem to me also that most of the truly vicious anti-Obama comments smack very transparently of racism, and that is tragic for America.
Do people still not realize that Barack Obama was raised by his mother...a white woman?

She campaigns like a Republican and uses the politics of fear. She uses Osama bin Laden's image in her new ad? She's disgusting! I'll hold my nose and try not to think about it if I have to vote for her in the fall.

(Am not dumb enough to vote for McCain)

The Democrats should have found a Liberal Republican and behind the scenes backed him with money and by referring to him over and over as the Republican candidate they were afraid of,then when he doesn't get the nod from the Republican party we have him run Independent and drag hundreds of thousands of republican votes from the Republican front runner,there-by splitting the Republican vote."United we stand and divided we fall." Ever hear of political maneuvers guys? What Democrats NEED to know is this,if the Super delegates choose Sen. Clinton, will Sen. Obama run as an Independent and if they don't will Clinton? If either one runs Independent the undeniable result is victory for McCain, Karl Rove style,by splitting the Democratic Party. Will someone in a position to do so (Media,Campaigners,etc..) PLEASE ask Clinton and Obama to pledge, for the good of our nation, that the loser will NOT run Independent..... WE NEED TO find out NOW!

the "muslem" world and any part of the world with financial ties to the US.

The day the rest of the world can afford not to care about the US and the state of the US economy is the day the US is no longer a significant player on the world stage. One wonders if it would still be a viable nation-state by that point.

"and I do not care to know him."

Now that's just funny. You don't trust Obama because you don't know him, and you don't want to.

There's a word for pre-judging people you don't know. It's called prejudice. Now I guess the only question is, is this racial prejudice, or some other kind of prejudice?

What I find most amusing is that all the anti-Obama rhetoric is based on falsehoods.

Also, note that the falsehoods are repeated. It's the same core set of falsehoods repeated over and over.

The anti-Clinton stuff otoh is based on facts that you can verify.

I guess we'll see if lies trump truth this election.

I will never ever be for Senator Obama.

I vote Hillary and if she is not the nominee, I go McCain!!! Not because of Hillary, but because I do not trust Senator Obama, I do not know him, (after 21 debates) and I do not care to know him.
It's about judgement. His is wrong!!

I'll never go to the Hillary side!

I will not support a playground bully who will go to any length to get her way. Her campaign has been mean-spirited, arrogant, and elastic with the truth. No thank you. I'd rather have a grown-up for president. Experience means little when character is lacking.

If she steals the nomination, I'll vote for either McCain or a third party candidate.

Right. It's getting beyond a joke. Every time I find an article online about Hillary Clinton, it is filled with comments in the "Leave a Comment" section of the webpage about how despicable Hillary is.

Now, I accept that there are a number of Obama supporters who would do this off their own back: bored or concerned bloggers and whatever else.

But, I am getting the increasing suspicion that it's Obama staffers, campaign workers etc who fill out their days going through webpages like this one to put out their candidate's lines.

I'm not entirely against this. But when abused it is destructive of the dialogue elections are supposed to mobilise.

Real "conversations" are being drowned out by irrational politicised one-liners. It's like the Obama supporters have some kind of Tourettes syndrome "hate hillary for this, or that!"

Now, whatever the merits of their arguments, I would urge them to back off, and let there be an even playing-field and REAL dialogue.

To paraphrase the other candidate, people want real change, not change that you can blog into our psyche (or xerox)!

There is a hushed tone in the criticisms of Senator Obama - a "psst, buddy, come 'ere" vibe that tends to prevail even when all the guilt by association, linguistic parsing and outright lies are paraded out into the open.

Even Senator Clinton tends to speak in a low monotone, or out the side of her mouth, when she shamelessly picks up a particularly stinky piece of political dross and dangles it in front of the electorate.

Senator Obama, of course, is accused either of being too gentle - too dad-blasted above the fray for his own good - or, in a "bitter" irony, of "going negative."

Now, here's where it gets even darker. Because, as it turns out, there is an internal poll out that's REALLY ugly - uglier than anyone would want to know.

The poll was of likely Clinton voters that answered "yes" when asked if they had passed on at least four of ten common charges leveled at Senator Obama by the Clinton campaign and its surrogates.

The answers that followed would astonish almost anyone.

Of the Clinton supporters that passed on (verbally or via email or a blog) the charges against Obama (from the "bitter" rhetoric to criticism arising from the Reverend Wright "scandal"), a full 87 percent did "not believe that the charges were true or relevant to Senator Obama's electability or ability to govern as president."

Asked why they chose to pass on criticisms that they themselves did not believe, a full 79 percent chose "because that's what it takes to win." Only 16 percent said "because the Republicans will do the same in November." (The remaining 5 percent said they "did not know why" they passed on the attacks.)

More frightening, while over 90 percent of respondents claimed to believe that "Barack Obama is not a Muslim," the overwhelming majority claim to have (at some time over the course of the campaign) forwarded emails labeling Senator Obama Muslim.

Still more frightening, over 45 percent of individuals that knowingly distributed false or irrelevant information about Senator Obama agreed when asked, "Do you believe that the United States is not ready for a black president?"

The "Cynical Electorate," as it has been called, has apparently taken over the process. Add to that a healthy dose of good old fashioned racism and the outcome is frightening. Because such can only mean that the institutions of democracy can not function.

Sadly, it would seem that the central issue this year is not the economy or the war in Iraq. Rather, the issue of greatest import this political season is one than can only be addressed one voter at a time: It is our integrity as individuals, communities and as a nation.

Hence, this voter - one that is "bitter" over the economic exploitation that has increased the income gap between CEO's and front line workers from 15 to 1 to 423 to 1 in less than two decades - will be hitting my knees nightly between now and the end of this election season, praying each evening for the soul of America.

how is she bringing people together?! she's still in the race when she should have gracefully pulled out several weeks ago. and clinton should be the last person to criticized obama for pulling out the negative attacks. it's ridiculous - the clinton campaign has even called obama a "copycat" for following clinton onto the colbert report amongst other things. i have no respect for the way her campaign as taken course since texas. i can't wait until this thing is over and the democratic party can really start coming together under the obama campaign. obama 08!

The Real Obama
Obama said small town people are clinging to antipathy to people who aren't like them. You don't get to the White House by painting small town people as bigots. He won't disown his hate-filled racist pastor Wright (who married him and baptized his children, and who he says is like an uncle to him). Obamas association with shady characters like Ayers, Auchi and Rezko disqualifies him for President both judgment and character-wise. People are known by the company they keep. Wearing a flag pin during the last debate would have shown where he is coming from and put him ahead in the polls next Tuesday. Oversight? I doubt it, and so do the majority of Americans. His behavior in the last debate shows he doesn't want to
discuss the above things. That's because past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior, and he understands that people know this. But he does get some support. I guess that's because the more flawed the candidate, the more their equally flawed supporters identify with them. In other words, those who support Obama are of his own ilk. Birds of a feather flock together, you know.

GOT HOPE ?

"Supporters say that winning more votes than Obama, plus her primary victories in populous states such as California and Ohio, would prove she'd be the stronger candidate against Republican John McCain in the November election.

``Popular vote matters,'' says Steve Grossman, a marketing executive and one of Clinton's top fundraisers. ``If there is an opportunity for her to pick up enough popular votes, that is a powerful calling card to the superdelegates to say the will of the people is a split decision.''

To earn that split decision, though, Clinton would need a 25-point victory in Pennsylvania, plus 20-point wins in later contests in West Virginia, Kentucky and Puerto Rico. Even that scenario assumes Clinton, 60, would break even in Indiana, North Carolina, South Dakota, Montana and Oregon -- a prospect that's not at all certain.

Record Turnout

More than just big margins, Clinton would need record voter turnout too. In Pennsylvania, she would need a turnout of 2 million, about half the state's registered Democrats; in the 2004 primary, about 800,000 voted. She would also need turnout to almost double in other states where she leads, and reach some 1 million in Puerto Rico, which is about how many Democratic- leaning voters went to the polls in a 2004 gubernatorial election. The territory, known for its high turnout, didn't have a presidential primary that year."

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Sen. Hillary Clinton made her way to Penn State University Sunday night, with Gov. Ed Rendell and Rep. John Murtha at her side.

Hundreds of Clinton supporters huddled together under a sea of umbrellas outside Rec Hall. And it was perhaps the dreary weather that kept the bigger crowds at home. While Sen. Obama Had $51 Million in Cash at Beginning of Month (Update1)

By Kristin Jensen

April 20 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama finished last month with $51 million in cash, offering a spending advantage as his race against Hillary Clinton enters its final stretch.

Obama raised $41 million in March, according to a filing with the U.S. Federal Election Commission today, in line with a previous estimate from his campaign. The Clinton campaign, which hasn't filed its March report yet, said this month it raised about $20 million during the same period.

.......... Obama's campaign said $42.5 million of its cash total is money for the primary elections. At the end of February, Clinton had about $11 million in cash by that measure.

Instead of simply complaining vaguely about what she deems to be negative, it might be helpful for Ms. Clinton to speak out to say precisely what she believes to be inaccurate or an exaggeration in an Obama ad.

As for nebulous allusions to unspecified dirt, no doubt Ms. Clinton believes herself to be invincible since her baggage and its content supposedly has been thoroughly examined. Hence she feels able to cast aspersions with impunity.

Still, she should be aware that examination of some parts of the experience in public life on which she relies as her chief asset remain incompletely exposed at this point. What, for instance, is the real story of her relations with Arkansas state troopers?

Has Hillary ever asked Barack what will happen to his healthcare idea when employers decide to discontinue health plans as soon as a government subsidized alternative is available? Have both candidates ever really had a face-to-face debate on this issue? Universal health care ought to be universal.

And I really wish people would stuff it with these partisan personal attacks. This is supposed to be a serious attempt to elect a leader to guide the country (and the world) through the problems of overpopulation, shrinking resources, large disparities in wealth and income and a deteriorating environment. We are not electing the next 'American Idol'.

I'll be writing in Hillary's name. Obama's character can be defined by Rev. Wright, Rezko, and Bill Ayers. Then there's bitter-gate, flag-gate, and middle finger-gate. Republicans will bring all of this up in November. Just watch.

That in a nutshell, is the kind of bitter small minded politics we Obama supporters are trying to destroy. Look at all the petty charges. All "guilt by association" type charges. John Kerry goes windsurfing, so he's an elitist. Mountain biking is manly. What would you bet that if any Democrat was caught on a mountain bike (like dear leader) he would be labeled an elitist because ya know joe sixpack would drive an atv. He was on a charitable board with Mr Ayres, so what? Rev Wright is a good man who has been slimed by the reich wing media and the brain dead msm. When Obama 'attacks' it is in self defense, or on policy differences.

Don't give in to the lizard brain fear tactics. That is exactly how we got into this mess we're in. If Hillary is nominated, it will be the end of the party.
I would rather vote for a box of jello or a flaming pile of a yellow dog's poo than I would a Republican, but I will not support a corrupt gutless party. I am tired of the small minded politics of the last 30 years. We need a statesman.

So the blame goes on and on. It's a right wing conspiracy, it's the media, it's the convoluted Democratic party's way of selecting a candidate (which Obama didn't invent, and which benefitted Bill Clinton),it's a slip of memory, it's Obama. I'm surprised global warming hasn't affected the race. There is always a reason things are going as Hillary wants.
If Obama stays the course and doesn't respond to her negative ways, he isn't strong enough to be President; if he does, he is being negative.
The race was suppposed to be over by Feb. when she would have her "deserved" spot on the ballot; now it has to go all of the way to Aug.
Hillary and her supporters seem to forget that there are people who have their reasons to vote for someone else. We didn't get the phone call or letter telling us that this was a one man (excuse me, woman) race and we weren't supposed to think or feel otherwise. Blame Obama if you'd like, but just maybe there are those who have used their rights to vote for him in spite of it being Hillary's "deserved" nomination.
What is disturbing is the childish and "all about me and Hillary" attitude taking place that if she doesn't win, her supporters will either vote for McCain or write her in. That is definitely their right, but childish and selfish. I mistakenly thought that we all had a say in who would be the nominee (who at this point appears to be Obama); and that come Nov., hope to beat McCain.

Andrew - The huge donations businesses are making to Obama's campaign are common knowledge. For just one article, see the WSJ piece below. The Center for Responsive Politics publishes the information. You will see below that Obama receives more $$ from commercial banks and pharmaceutical compainies than Clinton or McCain. I would consider pharmeceutical companies 'medical'. He's also #1 in contributions from the top 10 subprime lenders. He's got a world-class bundling organization that collects these donations for him. Happy to reproduce some articles that describe this machine in detail. Happy reading.

Obama's Switcheroo
April 11, 2008 Wall Street Journal

Barack Obama declared this week that he has created a "parallel public financing system." Come again? Let him explain: Under parallel public financing, "the American people decide if they want to support a campaign, they can get on the Internet and finance it."

Up to this moment, "public" financing has meant taking money from the federal government for the general Presidential election. Senator Obama's new system is public, because "the public" sends him the money.

Here's the translation: In November, Mr. Obama said he would accept public financing for the general campaign if John McCain committed to public funds. Now he doesn't want to be tied down by the spending limits attached to public funds. This is embarrassing. Solution: Call his Internet contributors a "parallel public financing" system.

What he is proposing sounds pretty much like what the system would look like if campaign-finance restrictions didn't exist. But they do exist, thanks to reformers like him. Shortly after the candidate made his remarks, a spokesman hurried to say it "was not a policy statement," but merely a description of the nature of his donor base. Barack Obama raised $40 million in the month of March - twice the $20 million Hillary Clinton's campaign took in. His totals are now more than $230 million.

Good for him. But Mr. Obama is unmistakably talking about abandoning the virtuous world that campaign finance reformers have in mind. The reformers' agenda has always been to limit "the influence of money" in politics, and do so by capping the amount candidates can spend. This naturally appealed to Mr. Obama when he was the underdog. But now that he's top dog, standing on principle isn't as appealing as the prospect of a colossal war chest.

Mr. Obama has also made much of his campaign's pledge not to accept money from political action committees, raising the majority of his funds from small private donations. PACs typically make up less than 1% of overall election donations to Presidential candidates, so that's no sacrifice.

Industry PACs may not give directly to his campaign, but employees of industries may do so, and many of his contributors have come from executives and their spouses. For example, Mr. Obama leads all candidates in donations from the pharmaceutical industry and commercial banks, among other industries. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks fundraising in elections, Mr. Obama has received $528,765 from people in the pharmaceutical industry and $1,380,108 from commercial banks. He comes in second to Mrs. Clinton in donations from lawyers with $13,690,170, just over a million shy of her total.

There is in fact a real parallel financing system already in place and ready to support Mr. Obama. It's called George Soros and so-called 527 groups such as the Democrat-supporting Fund for America or the newly named Progressive Media USA. Progressive Media recently announced plans for a $40 million, four-month campaign against Mr. McCain, and that's only one group in the game.

Mr. Obama once said he would "aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election." Mr. McCain has already taken steps toward public financing in the general election. So now Mr. Obama wants to preserve his reputation as a reformer while exploiting his new financial advantage. We are all beginning to learn how expansive the meaning of "change" is.

Love that photo. The poor black guy, face down, thinking "what the heck am I going to tell everyone tomorrow about why I was here?" Just say you had to do it, part of the job. We forgive you, bro.

Well, that's the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it? (no pun intended) I like these kitchen metaphors. Lots of fun. How about it is time for Hillary to stew in her own juices? Ooo la la. Or, here's a good one from Rodney Dangerfield for Hillary. "I'm at the age where food has taken the place of sex in my life. In fact, I've just had a mirror put over my kitchen table." Oh, my my. Just too saucy!

The Kitchen Sink along with the pots, pans, utensils, and steak knives have been thrown at Obama, and Clinton cries over a pin-prick! "He's misrepresenting what I proposed", she says. If You Can't Stand The Heat, Get Out Of The Kitchen!!!

Hilary's comments about Obama are getting more and more pathetic. She obviously is desparate. Who started the negative campaigning to distract him from his message of hope? None other than the queen of the politics of personal destruction: Hillary!

On the Faith Forum last week on CNN, she said that forgiveness and unconditional love were at the basis of her faith and life. Yet, the very next day and continuing to this day, she shows her shadowside daily and her belief that one can win by tearing the opponent down. Who wants such a person of low principles without a moral compass in the White House? Not me!

Hillary Clinton '08

So I lied! Whoop dee dooo! The story of me flying to Bosnia to show our troops appreciation was just too boring for the campaign trail. I was forced to spice it up a little bit. Get over it will ya! Just....just .... look it over. And stop being so negative.

Gladis...why do depise Obama? Obama has more diversity (European, African, and Asian) in his family circle than you do. So how can you call a fraud and racist?

Obama's not trashing Universal Health Care. He realizes that a mandated Universal Health Care plan would be very difficult to achieve within his first 4 year presidency.

Unfortunately, most of Hillary-supporters believe that once Hillary is elected, magicially mandated Universal Health Care will be implemented. The chances of Hillary getting mandated Universal Health Care passed is very low.

Hillary, you flail wildly all the time. Barack strategically strikes back judiciously on his own terms in his own time. Yes, there comes a time when even Barack Obama returns one or two hits. Lately you beat him up with "bittergate" to no avail! Congratulations on Pittsburgh. The Scranton newspaper, as several other PA newspapers endorsed Senator Obama. Scranton is your "home town"? Why didn't you get that endorsement?

Change IS on the wind: Hillary and McCain are 20th century politicians, but the 21st century demands 21st century governance and political leadership by U.S.A. at home and abroad.
Sen. Barack OBAMA, POTUS COMING SOON.

So right you are, philly.com Robert Olson, M.D.: "We're on the "cusp of a seismic shift in American Politics. Barack Obama is his name."

Hey Max,
Check the videotape again. That was a two fingered scratch. It is also the same speech, just a different angle and microphone. So much for the conspiracy "Obama flipped the bird" theorists. Another day, another specious charge from the Clinton campaign. She has incredible staying power, having entrenched herself with Bill in the party over the last 16 plus years. It is a shame that all of those supporters are being used to drag down the person who has out campaigned her and will end up as our nominee. Are people wanting four more years of Republican rule? Use your brains, folks. It is over for Clinton. Obama cannot be overtaken and can only be hurt against McCain with these continued kitchen sink attacks.

Obama only responds to negative campaigning by Hillary. The retired general's comments about Hillary may have been over-the-top but he was generally correct. For Hillary to appear on The Tonight Show and make light or fun of the Bosnia sniper incident when there were American soldiers in real danger and were shot at, underscores lack respect Hillary has for our military in dangerous situations.

I wonder if the thousands in attendance that roared and cheered after Hillary "objected to No Child Left Behind itself" realize that HILLARY VOTED FOR NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND! Talk about being hypocritical!

Questions ABC should have asked Mrs. Clinton:
1. Senator Clinton, you have been sleeping and keeping house with a known adulterer who also lied with his hand on the Bible. Why have you not denounced and rejected him? Does this mean that you approve of, even are yourself an adulterer, and have no respect for or do not believe in the Bible?
2. You kept your chief strategist, Mark Penn, on your payroll, although he had been working to pass free trade agreements with Columbia, also you continue to remain married to Bill, who also received $900,000 for such support, and millions more from China, Saudi Arabia, etc, known breakers of human rights and for China now with aggression against the Tibetan people. Are you therefore really for free trade and approve of China's and other nations' bad human rights record? Are you in fact a free trader and dictator at heart? Why have you not denounced and rejected Mark Penn and Bill Clinton?
3. Your daughter works for a hedgefund company on Wall Steet. Are you therefore a candidate for a hedgefund front and will take Wall Street over Main Street and over blue-collar workers? Why have you not denounced and rejected your daughter, Chelsea?
The ABC debate was disgusting--it was like watching a set-up/ambush/lynching of Senator Obama with the three on the stage doing a mob attack. It was more like a bunch of hoodlums against one honest man, with Hillary slugging him from behind. I am a senior citizen feminist who will never vote for Mrs. Clinton. Hillary believes she is entitled to her husband's ex-job, but most Americans dislike and distrust her, and on good evidence. We've watched Hillary lie with a smile on St Patrick's Day about coming under sniper fire in Bosnia. Watched her smile as she knee-caps Obama with distortions on words taken out of context. Watched her smile as she lies to blue collar workers about NAFTA and about her working class identity, she of the multimillions from shady off-shore corporations and with a Yale law-school degree put to the service of union-busting Wal-Mart. Senator Obama shows restraint and class in steering away from negative attacks on her, and whoa! is there a pile of *hit on record with the Clinton dynasty. Pardons in exchange for payback from criminals, Saudi millions for the Clinton Foundation, hundreds of thousands for support of the Colombian free trade treaty, etc, etc. Hillary cries for the camera to get the sister votes, chugs down whiskey chased with beer for the machismo barflies, and keeps intimate company with an impeached president caught lying with his hand on the Bible about not having sex with that woman. What does her sleeping with a proven adulterer and lying-under-oath President say about the company she keeps? The more we watch Hillary, the more we distrust her. The more we know Obama, the more he becomes our candidate to change dynastic business as usual in Washington. We citizens of the American Republic denounce and reject the Clinton dynasty. We want our democracy back.

used drug money to finance a neo-Nazi cabal,

one that succeeded in overthrowing the governments of multiple countries. The troops swept through the capital wearing Nazi armbands, according to former DEA agent Mike Levine.

George H.W. Bush later facilitated the IRAN-CONTRA affair, employing many of the same methods: secretly selling Central American cocaine in America and weapons to Iran while using the profits

to fund the "freedom fighters?" / CONtras and to overthrow DEMOCRATICALLY elected socialists in Central America.

and then employed those same techniques in the UNITED STATES in 2000 / 2004 and continues using them to this day...

George H.W. Bush, as the head of the CIA and later as Vice President, toppled DEMOCRATICALLY elected regimes in South and Central America and began PROPPING up a dictator by the name of SADDAM HUSSEIN in Iraq.

George H.W. Bush, although forbidden by congress to do so, he continued to sell chemical and biological weapons to Saddam even after he used them on villages of innocent civilians. Obama gave two speeches after he failed at the debates. He was an angry adolescent. At each speech, he used a rapper (JAY-Z) song about twisting the knife, and in both speeches at different locations when he said "Senator Clinton was in her element", he gave the finger. It is not a scratch, how could it happen at the exact wording in two places. Note in these videos, two different groups in the background.

Yeah. That's pretty rich - Obama is so negative. Unfortunately, he has now been forced into punch and counterpunch. Hillary is dictating the campaign and then complaining about it! When you step outside of it for a moment, you really have to give her a lot of Machiavellian props for her performance since she fell behind. Too bad she didn't use her genius for good (like organizing her campaign in caucus states, for example) instead of evil. She is succeeding in dragging Obama down, but, unfortunately for her, she's going down even further and she's too far behind in the delegate count to catch him. It is a slow and painful death for the rest of us, though she seems exhilarated by it.

Obama has shown with his words but more importantly by the people he has surounded his self with he should not be President or Senator and probably not an American citizen!
Obama From Dreams of My Father,
" I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASISVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE". Barack Hussein Obama
From 'Dreams of my Father', "The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race (WHITE) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart." Barack Hussein Obama
From Dreams Of My Father: "That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, BLAMING "WHITE PEOPLE - some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." Barack Hussein Obama
From 'Dreams Of My Father', "There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names" Barack Hussein Obama

OBAMA EXPRESSES HIS ADMIRATION FOR ISLAM: &g t; Quote from Barack Obama's book, Dreams Of My Father: "THE PERSON WHO MADE ME THE PROUDEST, though, was [HALF BROTHER] Roy .. HE CONVERTED TO ISLAM"
From 'Dreams of my Father', "IN INDONESIA I SPENT TWO YEARS IN A MUSLIM SCHOOL" "I STUDIED THE KORAN"
From 'Audacity of Hope: "Lolo (OBAMA'S STEPFATHER) FOLLOWED ISLAM...."I LOOKED TO LOLO FOR GUIDANCE".
From 'The Audacity Of Hope, "I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
From The Audacity Of Hope, "WE ARE NO LONGER JUST A CHRISTIAN NATION," "WE ARE ALSO a Jewish nation, A MUSLIM NATION, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers."
Obama is telling us plainly that he APPROVES of Islam. DENY TH AT HE ISN'T! He tells us how proud he is of his brother who converted to Islam!!
(by the way, his brother is a radical Islamic in Africa!) He tells us that he looked to his stepfather for guidance and that he was a MUSLIM. He tells us blatantly that HE WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS. He tell us that he DID attend a Muslim school, although his handlers have tried to deny it. He is telling us that America is no longer a Christian nation- that western civilization which owes its greatness and strength from the morality outlined in the Bible, and by Jewish teachings is no more!!
What do you think might be the possible consequences of electing a president with admiration for Islam??
Mass immigration of radical Muslims?? Yes. He wants an open border! Amnesty for the invading horde!

Story on MSNBC:"It was just heartbreaking," said Mrs. Larson, a Democratic National Committee member from Minnesota and more to the point, a superdelegate who had initially pledged herself to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. This was last Saturday, after the former first daughter learned that Mrs. Larson would be shifting her allegiance to Senator Barack Obama.

"She is a delightful young woman who loves her mother very much," Mrs. Larson said. "She was really pushing me. She kept asking me why I was doing this. She just kept asking, 'Why? Why?' "

Look what Hiliary has reduced her daughter to doing. If this doesn't put this in context about this woman's sinking to subterranean

The link you provide goes to some guy writing that some other guy did such and such. There is no evidence whatsoever that anyone did any such thing that I have been able to find. If you have it please post it. The same guy that wrote this in a book has made his living from writing negative books about the filed impeachment charges, which were never actually convicted, of BC. Just as a little reminder to all those who use the term impeached with reference to BC. He was never impeached. Impeachment charges being filed are NOT the actual impeachment of anyone. In order for that to take place the person must be tried and convicted by the Senate. BC never was and anyone who thinks he was impeached should actually research what impeachment is befor opening pie hole - inserting foot.

I don't believe spending the first 30 minutes of your speech at every rally ripping into the other canidate is running a postive campaign. Hillary Clinton does the same thing to Barrack Obama she spends the first 30 minutes ripping into him at every stop as well except that when she does it Obama says she is running a negative campaign. And how dare Clinton say that Obama is destroying "universal" health care? She has gone much further, trying to destroy her opponents political viability. She is probably the first candidate in history to say that the opponent in THEIR OWN PARTY is unfit to be President, while the opponent in the other party is fit!

Yes, all of the Democratic candidates this year wanted very badly to win, but there were lines they refused to cross. There is NO line Clinton will not cross in her attempt to win the Presidency at all cost. This is the main reason Richardson endorsed Obama. And I don't feel comfortable with that type of person gaining office either. Most Presidential candidates have type A personalities, but her all consuming ambition goes too far.

I do find it annoying to read some of the posts which seem to me to be posts upon impulse. Those are the ones that state false facts, nothing of true substance, information that the posters cannot prove; they just post upon impulse with nothing more than a dislike for a particular candidate.

Any intelligent person would not even take posts as such into consideration.

I too have been disappointed with ALL of the negative tactics. Based on my ideals, I cannot vote McCain. I have to exercise my form of patriotism in not contributing a vote to someone whom is content with decreasing our defense force for some illegit war, causing families to lose crucial members as well and given the fact that there is a correlation in terms of our economy. Don't mind if I do express my form of patriotism by aiding The Backbone of this entire country.

I agree, I'd have liked to have had the entire campaigning process to be solely about the people and on the issues and letting the people judge whom their preferences are. Instead, there's been a load of nonsense away from the issues that it has taken some of the excitement out of this process. I admit, Hillary has been letting Obama have it, and I have seen Obama repeatedly say he wants to do his thing and focus on issues, only to find Bill making his repeated statements egging Hillary on in that direction. Obama has taken time out to respond. It gets annoying. People know what sounds good to them. I say why not let each make their proposals and let people flock to their corners. We don't need the dumb distractions. I say that in general people. I have my disagreements, but I expect our military to prepare for a departure and reunited with their families. That takes priority over some illegit war, and the United States ought have more priority than trillions contributing to that illegit war. My, what many accomplishments this entire country could have had with that amount of WILL and focus and EFFORT and MONEY to be poured into right here At Home.

The fact that a man is willing to risk his life to try to bring about badly needed changes in this country is the true mark of a patriot. The guy makes me feel ill. To imagine a charlatan like him in the White House scares me immensely. And for him to trash UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE? What a pissant piece of crap that guy is. He is so weak. He's not a leader at all.

Some of the racist comments coming from some anti-Barack people make me think about voting for him--and I'm for Hillary.

What in the world is an "empty affirmative action suit"? I suggest you substitute "empty headed nucklehead" and replace Barack's picture with your own.

Then you'll get a more accurate picture of what's wrong with this country.

Why was the obscene post by "Fourthsign" was not censored??

It's interesting how my fellow democrats who support Hillary are sounding like racist republicans. I'm beginning to believe they are actually Rush-head republicans who are trying to get Hillary nominated since they think she's an easy opponent. No democrat would spew such bigoted hatred.

I thought it was humorous how Hillary would have left Rev. Wright if it was her minister. Why has no one responded with "I would have left my husband if he cheated on me in such egregious and humiliating ways"? I guess that's because Barack is not resorting to personal attacks. But, Hillary's hypocrisy is undeniable.

So Obama should endorse Clinton's health care plan instead of is own OR he is a Republican? WHO has formed the tag team with McCain, now bashing Obama on this ridiculous Ayers thing?

Clinton, we don't appreciate being treated like morons. There is one Republican clone in the Democratic party - on Iraq, threatening war with Iran (see "nuclear umbrella") and voting to make it harder for people in trouble to declare bankruptcy. And that would be YOU.

DISPATCHES FROM THE GROUND WAR ...

THE FINANCIAL TIMES ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA ...

Democrats must choose Obama
Published: April 20 2008

Barack Obama goes into Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary as strong favourite, whatever happens, to secure the Democratic presidential nomination. Yet the vote could still go either way.

This is a sign of how close this race has been and how deeply it has divided the party.

Mr Obama and Hillary Clinton are both strong candidates and each appeals powerfully to distinct segments of Democratic support. This has heightened the risk of bitter division.

After Tuesday's vote, the Democrats should move quickly to affirm Mr Obama's nomination. That is not just because his lead in elected delegates is already unassailable and the contest should be brought to a swift conclusion. It is also because he is, in fact, the better candidate.

The contenders' differences on policy look small and in reality are even smaller. Their disagreement on healthcare mandates, for instance, frequently emphasised by Mrs Clinton, is of little practical significance. A mandate to obtain insurance, as proposed by Mrs Clinton, does not achieve universal coverage unless enforced with punitive sanctions, which she does not advocate....

In almost every area of policy, whether their thinking is good (as with improved support for displaced workers), bad (their opposition to liberal trade) or too vague to say (Iraq), there is little to choose between them.

As voters understood all along, this has therefore been a contest of character, temperament and (sadly but inevitably) identity. Mr Obama's most loyal supporters, once they were persuaded that he might actually succeed, have been black. Mrs Clinton's, certain at the start she would win, are women.

Mr Obama has fought a brilliant campaign, out-organising his opponent, raising more money, and convincing undecided Democrats as well as the country at large that he was more likeable, more straightforward and more worthy of trust.

On form, he is a spell-binding orator and holds arena-sized audiences in thrall. He is given to airy exhortations, it is true, but genuinely seeks consensus and has cross-party appeal.

Mrs Clinton's campaign, in contrast, has been a shambles. She and her team expected to have it all sewn up long ago; they made no plans for a long struggle, ran short of money and had to reorganise on the run.

Her speaking style is pedestrian, when it is not actually grating. Those who dislike her tend to do so with a passion: her disapproval ratings started high and after months of campaigning are climbing still. It is a tribute to her tenacity and to the loyalty she commands in the party that her fate was not sealed weeks ago.

How much the way that a campaign is run tells you about a candidate's fitness to be president is debatable - but it does tell you something, especially if the candidate with the misfiring strategy is running on a claim of management expertise.

In fact, the campaigns have underlined the contenders' respective strengths and weaknesses.

Mr Obama's consistent and relaxed demeanour attested to his coolness (in both senses, his swooning young admirers would add); it seemed to affirm his authenticity.

In contrast, Mrs Clinton's hyperactive advisers dressed her in a new personality each day, sometimes several in the course of an interview. They wheeled out Bill Clinton, to remind people of the 1990s, then reeled him back, to help them forget. ...

The US has the urge to be inspired a little. Electing the country's first woman president ought to be very inspiring. But not this woman - with her dynastic baggage and knack for antagonising the undecided - running against this man.

The Democratic party has waited an awfully long time for a politician like Barack Obama. Enough already.

""Well, in fact, George, I think that we should be looking to create an umbrella of deterrence that goes much further than just Israel. Of course I would make it clear to the Iranians that an attack on Israel would incur massive retaliation from the United States, but I would do the same with other countries in the region."

Massive retaliation = nukes...right? Any other Arab country?!!! Including the one where the 9/11 attackers came from...Saudi Arabia. Maybe Bill hung out with Poppy Bush too much.

Anyway, nice to have a choice between Mccain and Obama, both less likely to attack and beat up on immigrants to get nativist votes. Even Hillary was being pro-immigrant and not anti-Hispanic until attacking Richardson. We will see if anyone goes out of their way to attack immigrants during this election.

Though she might try more Canada/NAFTA lies, most people already learned that Hillary is a liar.

Most people already realize that she will offer one thing and do under-handed deals to ruin our economy and ship jobs elsewhere.

Most people know that she still haven't stopped taking advise from Mark Penn even though he was lobbying our government officials to get Free Trade Agreement between US and Columbian government.

Most people already know that Hillary makes up stories to sway votes, and that she will resort tears and any type of lies and deception to win.

Above all, most people know that HILLARY CLINTON CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Senator Clinton has no shame, whatever works to get her aim. Lying comes easy, just fabricate a story for sympathy than brush it off when caught (I misspoke, she said a whole story with minute details and she but misspoke!), Are there truly people so naive or irresponsible who would believe her (if she makes it and I pray not for we've had the liars and are paying a high price). She started the negative attacks and now she dares to blame Senator Obama for responding. If he doesn't respond to her she and her pundits would accuse him of being a wimp and when he does as he has been doing, she cries foul and screams he is negative. Win at all cost, the end justifies the means, I thought we as a nation are tired of that frame of mind.

OBAMAS WILY RACIST CARD - THE SIMPLE REASON WHY I´M NOT AN OBAMA FAN ANY LONGER:
Barack Obama has used the race-card in a tactical and wily way. On the very day when Martin Luther King died he campaigned in Indiana were primary is going to occur on May 6th. I dare say, his main goal WAS NOT to honour the memory of Martin Luther King. His selfish goal was to be ASSOCIATED WITH Martin Luther King in the eyes of the voters in Indiana and to campaign for the primary at the same time. Hillary Clinton went to Memphis to honour the memory of MLK and she didn´t misuse that important day.

So many of these posters show their biases and have reacted to this article based on their preconceived beliefs, which makes their viewpoints worthless IMO.

To my mind, anyone who cannot look at these two side by side and see who is the better candidate is looking at their own candidate with rose colored eyeballs.

One is for unity and hope, the other is grabbing at every misspeak or factoid and throwing it at the wall, hoping it will stick.

It has become clear to me that Obama is the far better choice. Clinton's desperate ploys reveal a person who will say anything, do anything to get elected, no matter what the damage may be done to her party. As a Democrat, it is clear to me that Obama is a person we can get behind. Clinton is a candidate which we should leave behind.

As an American and a woman I am outraged at the Press.

When Obama makes a slip of the lip or flip0 flops it is, according to the press, no big deal. He is such a nice BOY

If Hillary stands up to theis Pup, and asserts herself, the press only has nasty remarks about her saying it as it is. If she were a man running against Obama, the press would sing a different tune. Saying something like:now there is a candidate that stands up and goes face to face with Obama to show the country he really knows nothing about American people or how to govern. The Press should be ashamed of themselves for not treating Hillary fairly . She know more about this country, our needs and how to deal with the problems America has today. It isnot the Gender that is relavent it is who can do the job. NOT OBAMA FOR SURE!!!!!!!!

I've been proud to support the first likely black President of the United States and now I can be proud of Hillary's campaign decision to go down fighting with some dignity and instead of trashing Obama desperately to just try some campaign tricks of accusing him of what she's been guilty of.

One good thing I've noticed for the Democrats is that with their ongoing interest in a "contested" election (even though obama is already virtually assured the nomination), they can increase Democratic registration. People who register to vote in Democratic primaries are likely to vote Democratic in the general elction, and some portion of that is due to a psychological tendency that I believe people have to stand by their earlier choice.

Also, Clinton's prior attacks are now "old news" and more difficult for McCain to use against them.

Genius, really. They did a trial by fire and now that Obama survived they can throw him in the ring with McCain and his attack dogs.

He will likely win the Presidency even without that tactic.

Look at the party in power: war no longer popular, the economy sucks (stupid), and McCain is viewed as weak on both these issues by the majority of voters.

It is good to be a minority citizen this election cycle... for once.

Even the anti-immigration candidates went down to defeat in flames... where many of their supporters will end up.

I wonder which memory she is going to insert into her head when that 3:00 AM call comes in.

She has no shame in looking straight in the eye and lying.
She had no anwer but "I don't recall" when she was being questioned during white water investigation.
She said she will not turn down lobbyist money.

...and now proclaims to be the defender of common working people. She see no shame in lying during the election. If she is elected president, she will drop nuclear bomb on the us citizens and will say, "I do not recall pushing that button".

Bill Clinton said it would be nice to have two people who loved America in the race.

Here's BHO's resume:
1) stopped wearing american flag lapel pin as US Senator, stating it was 'false patriotism'
2) chooses to leave islam to worship with Rev Wright for 18 yrs, who encourages congregation to sing "g-d d-amn america'
3) Ivy league wife of ivy league senator BHO gets a $200000 raise the day he is elected to the senate as a 'community outreach' officer for a Chicago Hospital. When her hubby wins the Iowa primary, she states she is proud of America for the first time in her life.

So it appears BC was right this time. BHO is 'typical affirmative action' empty suit with a major chip on shoulder.

Any health plan at this stage is preliminary and subject to the legislative process. I don't think demogoging over them at this point is helpful. So much for Obama's New Politics. It's just old politics dressed up in an expensive empty suit. At least Clinton realizes everyone should have some form of health coverage, at least for catastrophic.

It seems some here think it is beyond the pale to criticize HIllary's health care plan - which amazes me. Her plan sounds good on the surface but, and this is a huge but, given the composition of the new Congress ( more accurately likely composition) her plan is a non starter because of her reliance on mandates. It just wont fly so what good is a plan that wont fly, just like the 94 plan, not worth the paper it is written on.

Obama has been negative throughout this campaign, going back to Iowa. His hypocrisy and dishonesty is of the worst kind, since he has the ability through his eloquent speeches to convince everyone that he really isn't like all those "old" Washington politicians doing negative and dishonest stuff ... but then he proceeds to do all his negative and dishonest campaigning. And, he does it with extraordinary arrogance.

Interesting tp see how Pennsylvania's major newspapers agree in vast majority that Barack Obama's the better candidate.

Except the newspaper owned by the man Hillary Clinton once denounced as the godfather to a "vast rightwing conspiracy"--he's for Hillary.

Perhaps the Clintonites would like to whine now about the "vast mainstream media conspiracy" against Hillary in Pennsylvania.

After all, they are not even recognizing her combat experience in Bosnia.

Not at all.

Clintons only know how to get into a fist fight. Bill said, "dirty fighting is what america is all about".

I don't think so, and neither do vast majority of americans. That proves Clintons do not know how to unite or do things peacefully.

Even Jimmy Carter said that Clintons will be your friend only when they need something from you. Carter is an old man doing charity work by building homes for the poor and delivering medicines to people in poverty and decease ridden parts deep in Africa. There is no reason for him to say anything untrue about Clinton. Even when Carter reveals the truth about Clintons, some people still refuse to take a second look the the true face of Clintons. A chronic liar is not someone I want as my president. I don't know about the other half of Democrats who still support the Clintons.

Actually, it is not a good healthcare plan. It is not like they are offering you free healthcare. She simply wants to force you to pay for it. So, it is like it is now. The only difference is that you dont have a choice whether to buy it or not. A real healthcare plan would have it payed for through taxes. But everyone is afraid of being "socialist".

One more.

http://jammerbirdi.wordpress.com/2008/02/12/obamas-world-of-pain/

What do I mean that he has sown the seeds of his own general election defeat in this primary?

By playing racial politics. Obama's stump rhetoric is resplendent in the language, catch phrases, and slogans of the Civil Rights movement. (there were TWO big pieces, one in the LA Times the other in the NY Times, in just the last two days, that offer themselves as a look INTO the Obama campaign's "delicate" tightrope walk on the issue of race. Neither article mentions AT ALL the Obama campaign's heavy use of Civil Rights movement language.)

It has worked perfectly on African American voters which, of course, was the exact idea. As I predicted weeks ago, the margin of black voters going for Obama has rarely dipped below 75% in every state and often has been over 80%. Said to be close to 90% in today's Virginia primary. That took away THE most important base constituency of the Clintons and it will probably cost her the nomination. Good strategy in the primary if that's as far as you plan on going.

Is this country ready to elect a black man president? I think so. Is this country ready to elect a black man president who is on the stump hollering Yes We Can and Our Time Has Come? I don't think so. But... he'll have a check from me and my vote in November.

I think this general election is going to break a lot of people's hearts. I think if McCain wins, the Democratic Party is going to be looking at this historically divisive and poisoned battle between Clinton and Obama and asking itself, what happened to our presidential hopes in '08? How did this thing turn so ugly so fast? How was it that iconic leaders of our party came to be also-rans if not entirely tarnished figures in the eyes of their own base constituencies?

The answers I have to those questions number two.

1. A cynical Obama campaign that played race early and often to shore up the black vote.

2. An anti-Clinton bias, call it Clinton fatigue or out and out hating, in the punditocracy and walking the halls of some of the most important newspapers in the country.

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...

You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. :-)

Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. And I could go on, and on...

Those who proclaim Hillary "sniper-fire" Clinton's Healthcare is solution to all healthcare problems, please help me understand this:

With the Clinton plan, we have to pay the same amount of premium if we were to buy insurance directly from insurers. With Obama's plan, we get a break in premium. Employers provide employees even better coverage (no deductible, etc) at 20% of what it would cost compared to Clinton plan. Obama's plan cost less for the people.

...and why the ehck do we have to pay more to get health insurance when we are already paying for health insurance in the name of Medicare?

Americans always fascinate me! To an outsider it seems so simple and yet here we are - Americans/Democrats deadlocked over who the better candidate might be. An Obama presidency would be a breath of fresh air to World (note not American) world politics. None of the presidential candidates even come close to him in terms of how he's energised ordinary people the world over to believe that they can make a difference in how their countries are run. I guess it's not so simple - I'm still perplexed as to how Americans voted for a second George W. Bush term in office.I think Clinton wants to hold Obama up to a standard she does not wish to be held up to. Since he says he does not want to be negative, when his campaign goes negative she cries foul and yet she's been doing that throughout her campaign! So it's okay for her to do it just as long as only she does it? And the polls still show Clinton to have a lead in Pa - Americans fascinate me!

What a joke. Hillary and her husband's former communications director, together with a Republican broadcaster who thinks $200,000 is a typical family income, spend nearly an hour on national television engaging in gutter guilt by association, flag pin patriotism, and other non-substantive National Enquirer questioning. That is fair game. But, Obama making a policy argument that Hillary's plan would force people to buy health insurance (including by garnishing wages), which she's admitted, is "Republican" dirty pool. And she wonders why more than half of the public doesn't think she's trustworthy. Oh, and who cares that she admitted in the debate that she deliberately lied on her Bosnia tale, and that she knew they were misstatements. Journalism is dead, Long live "show biz" (the phrase used by the 60 Minutes producer to try to defend the debate). And Hillary is more than happy to take every advantage of this failure. Just don't complain when people get angry (or 'bitter') and want to stop the madness.

Second, wasn't it just yesterday that Hill said about Obama, that if he can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Yet she can't stand a little a heat after dumping on him all season. If she gets the nomination, what kind of heat do you think she'll face? Why are the Limbaughs and others of that ilk trying so hard to get her the nomination? Do you really believe they think she is the best candidate? Best to ridicule and trounce, only.
There's another old saying: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Hillary has certainly proven that one. Almost 70% of voters say she is not trustworthy. I guess we are hearing from the other 30% here.
Go Obama. Let Hill wait till 2016. She'll be very experienced by then.

Role Model for Children - Obama

A few days ago Obama gave the 'finger' to Hillary on national television and smugly laughed about it with his audience. Is this type of malicious immaturity what you want your children to learn: lack of tolerance, vengeance and the bully mentality? After that one event, besides the mindless and uneducated, how could anyone seriously consider this Obama for any office?

Also, Obama's state-senate candidacy was launched at Weather Underground bombers Ayers house in 1995. Ayers who advocates the violent destruction of America may have much more to do with promoting Obama than we know. The organization MoveOn has aggressively intimidated delegates to vote for Obama and to shun Hillary and is likely closely connected with Ayers. Ayers finally got his bomb - Obama.

Obama also rigged his election to become senator by unfairly disqualifying his opponents. He did this by meticulously finding fault with each of the other candidates signed petitions until each of the contenders had to drop out, Obama was the last one standing, there was no election. This was another finger gesture towards the American public by Obama.

If this isn't enough, look at Obama's affiliations:
Wright
Meeks
Ayers
Abongo "Roy" Obama
Rashid Khalidi
Robert Malley
Hamas
McPeaks
Rezko
Auchi

And the list goes on...

This may be the time of the Anti-Christ, but do you want to be on the list of people who voted for him?

ohhhh, this campaign has gone on wayyyy too long. A finger scratch? This is the media focus now? And that whips all the Clintonites into a frenzy?? And Mrs. Clinton forgets all about "shame on you", 3 AM and every other bit of negative campaigning to act like this is all Obama's doing? And Obama pulls out his own negative campaigning leading into PA (does that mean he thinks he can catch her or he's despereately behind?). I am an obama supporter but i'm sick of it -- Karl Rove is laughing his butt off and the Democratic party is shooting itself in the foot yet again -- and why? If we get to June and, as predicted for 4 months, Mrs. Clinton has not caught Obama and has only managed to grievously wound the nominee -- is any Clinton fan going to feel one bit of responsibility? If she manages to pull off wins of 63% in PA, IN, NC, OR, PR etc. and gets Super Delegates to change sides as a result can Obama fans put aside their bitterness? Look at John McCain people -- check out his policies, his ethics and his right tilt since 2000. Keep the eye on the prize....

Obama is a racist and a fraud. The guy makes me sick to my stomach. He's the biggest piece of crap and everythign he claims HRC is doing, that pig is actually doing it himself but no one reports it. Everyone is star struck by this empty scumbag who flips the bird and looks like he's on crack. He sweats and looks scared everytime he's asked a serious question. He never speaks on solutions or action he himself will take, instead he blow hards about hypotheticals.

This guy is an absolute scum. I despise him and will never vote him if he STEALS THE NOD. Him and his media wankers...the whole thing is repulsive. If the country wsn't so terrified of a woman running things then this awipe would be long gone.

If they had "winner take all" contests this awipe would have been dead in the water ages ago. I wish him gone. He's a puke.

Are you kidding me; his likelihood of winning is about as great as Bush having a third-term. Do you really think anybody cares about these pin the tail on the donkey attacks on the Democrat when they are loosing jobs and seeing our money burned in Baghdad to the tune of 10 billion a month. These folks seem to think that after being screwed for so many years the voters are willing to bend over again. I dont think workers, Catholics, farmers, and others in Pennsyvania are that stupid as to get reamed again from propaganda tactics. If Obama is the nominee, McCain wins the Presidency. Obama is arrogant, cocky, and immature. After seeing Obama give Hillary "the finger", I won't vote for him. He has no class. I'll be writing in Hillary's name. Obama's character can be defined by Rev. Wright, Rezko, and Bill Ayers. Then there's bitter-gate, flag-gate, and middle finger-gate. Republicans will bring all of this up in November. Just watch.

Joyce, Your poem wasn't even any good. It's bad high-school sophomore junk and just sounds like tribal jeering.Obama supporters are so tribal.

"Cult" is really not as good a fit, as the more accurate term is "tribal. People have just avoided the term "tribal" because of racial sensitivities.

But the behavior and irrationality of Obama supporters really is just a civilized, slightly more educated version of what goes on in the street between gangs and in Kenya between his own relatives, the Luos, and the Kikuyus. The tribal behavior is also a lot like what the Republicans do, in their religiously oriented cultural intolerance.

The article above that quotes Clinton is true about the hypocrisy of Obama and his behind-the-scenes negative and lying campaign.

Obama acts lofty, and says one thing, while his campaign is in the gutter, acting tribal and infantile, and says and does those things that even contradict his own campaign promises. He's not unlike a lot of other politicians, but he's specifically running on a platform of not being like that.

Another hypocrisy of his campaign is that his leadership will heal divisions and unite people. The extent of the tribal behavior and jeering, hate speech oriented divisiveness he has introduced into the Democratic Primary alone, is worse than anyone imagined. Like the Joyce woman here who posted her "poem", she's just full of jeering and hate.

One questions, firstly, whether Obama can deliver on his campaign promises if he can't campaign as he promised. And then one questions, firstly, whether the irrational and hate-speech behavior of those around him and his followers is something we really want to watch and listen to for 8 years.

Hillary appears to be campaigning as the last hope of the phony part of the fake democratic elites who promise the world and cant get anything passed. She talks about what she will do for health care and workers, well what did her husband do? Jobs left, no health care, a wasted democratic administration. All we got was scandals for 8 years.

The Obama camp needs to pause momentarily in their celebration of the PA newspaper endorsements. Everyone in the entire world knows by this time that the media is in the tank for the messiah - the love struck members of the press can't stop swooning long enough to type their tributes to "the one" coherently.

Charlie and George got out of line over at ABC the other night, and it was such a shock to Obama and his followers, they haven't stopped crying about it since.

Heck, Obama even demonstrated his maturity by using several eloquent hand gestures at a recent rally; er, Rev. Wright would have called it a revival meeting.

In the meantime, all of those "bitter" people clinging to their guns and religion in the Keystone state are geared up to vote for Hillary Clinton; they probably outnumber the press in Pennsylvania.

I am also offended by the phony way in which she tries to sell Chelsea as an alternative to her hard nosed campaign style. The Clinton's did whats hard to do -- make themselves less likeable than Bush and the Republicans. The Democratic party has a much better chance of winning with Obama whether they continue to try to label him with whatever. Uh-oh, now here
comes another loss.
Barack just got
thumbs up from THE BOSS.

Another debate,
a tag team we forged.
I really kicked butt
with Charlie and George.

We slammed, we slimed,
We gave it our all
We roasted and grilled him
Yet Obama stood tall.

I thought I'd get kudos
for my clever attack.
But today all I hear is
Let's back Barack!

They're cheering him now
those voters in Raliegh
He just brushed the dirt off
And everyone's jolly!

This week I thought surely
more backers I'd won.
But, darned if he didn't
win Boren and Nunn!

54 percent
to my 35
He's got the big mo
While I took a dive.

The conspiracy against me
In my mind, it's proven.
The right, now the left wing
I'll blame it on Move-On.

Barack keeps on chuggin'
He's still doing good.
Riding the rails like
The Engine That Could.

My lead has diminished
I'm feeling so blue.
They love him in P.A.
Whoop-de-darn-doo!

It's very important for Hillary supporters (like me) not to vote for McCain and give the Republicans the White House again for four more years of the same.

If Pennsylvania goes for Hillary large enough then even with the Dems insane delegate apportionment scheme she will pick up more delegates than Obama and cut the delegate lead, and the popular vote lead. They are very close in both.

But whatever happens, I will vote for Hillary this fall, even if I have to write in Hillary Clinton's name. If all of Hillary's supporters do that we possibly could outvote the others.

But if we don't, let the other votes determine who wins without helping the Republicans continue to destroy our country.

I know Hillary will support Obama if he gets the nomination and would not agree with what I'm saying, but if you support Hillary you won't vote for McCain. Write in Hillary Clinton if she's not on the ballot.

The only reason I'm saying this is because of the constant talk of Hillary supporters to vote for McCain if Obama gets the nomination. If you support Hillary, you won't do that.
