Obama Steers Clear of 'Warmonger' Talk

By Alec MacGillis
BUTTE, Mont. -- Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) declined twice Saturday to personally repudiate a liberal radio host's declaration that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is a "warmonger."

At a morning stump speech in Missoula and an evening Montana Democratic Party dinner in Butte, Obama made no mention of Ed Schultz's comment, which came Friday night at a fundraiser for the North Dakota Democratic Party, which Obama later attended.

Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, "John McCain is not a warmonger and should not be described as such. He's a supporter of a war that Senator Obama believes should have never been authorized and never been waged." But that was not enough for the Republican National Committee or the McCain campaign, which compared the situation to McCain's repudiation of comments by conservative radio host Bill Cunningham, who repeatedly mocked Obama's middle name Hussein while warming up the crowd at a McCain appearance.

"Senator Obama must personally and publicly repudiate his campaign supporter's attacks -- rather than give tacit approval to this blatant smear -- or his rhetoric of change will be exposed as nothing but words," said McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

McCain even broached the issue himself while speaking with reporters in Arizona. "Mr. Schultz is entitled to his views," he said. But he added, " I would hope that, in keeping with his commitment, that Senator Obama would condemn such language, since it was part of his campaign."

The Obama campaign disagreed with that assertion, noting that Schultz was speaking at a state party event, not an Obama campaign event, and that he was not an Obama campaign surrogate.

Schultz had been invited to speak at the fundraiser in Grand Forks, while Obama was in town to serve as the keynote speaker at the state's Democratic convention. Once Obama arrived at the dinner, he praised Schultz (who has been kinder to him on the air than to Hillary Clinton) as a "voice of progressive radio" and someone who "knows a little bit about sports."

In Missoula, Obama repeated his warning -- which has been challenged as inaccurate by some news reports -- that McCain has said he wants to keep the war in Iraq going another 100 years. McCain is a "great American hero," Obama said, but he "wants to continue this war in Iraq, maybe for 100 years."

Later, in Butte, Obama dropped mention of the "100 years" comment. But he did criticize McCain for his initial support for going to war, and he tied him to Hillary Clinton, who was to address the Butte dinner two hours later. Invoking Clinton's "3 a.m." ad, which asks voters who they want to handle national security crises in the middle of the night. Obama charged that he was better to answer those calls because he had had the wisdom to oppose the war in Iraq, as opposed to those who had failed to read intelligence reports on Iraq and failed to exhaust alternatives to military action. "There are three candidates left and one candidate who wanted to show good judgment, and you might consider that one to answer that phone call," he said.

And, to loud applause, he repeated the swipe he took at Clinton the night before in Grand Forks, charging her, without mentioning her name, with dismissing the importance of his victories in Republican-leaning Western states. In doing so, he seemed to mistakenly categorize Montana as a caucus state, when it is in fact holding a primary.

"Some people have been saying these caucus states out west out don't count that much," he said. "I don't know about you, but I think they're pretty important. ... I'm tired of people saying that some states don't count. I think every state counts."

During Bill Clinton era: In 1990 gas prices were $1.34 and in 1999 gas prices dropped to $1.22. I had a good job, could take my family on a long vacation trip, food prices were reasonable. I want my comfortable life style back, and in Pennsylvania "all" my family members voted for HILLARY CLINTON. Mr. Obama is like putting a Trojan gift horse in the White House. McSame McCain is a warmonger just like Bush and his cronies are! I don't care about the National Enquirer crab people put out about the Clinton's, the facts about "everyone" feeling the Bush pain and inflation sucks. I endorsed Hillary Clinton on April 22 with my vote!

The emerging pattern with Obama is disturbing. He says he wants to run a positive campaign (new politics) but dodges when it comes time to live by it. He's all over the map on gun control (guess because he's campaigning in Montana and accepted the support of Casey). He is 'of two minds' about the president staying away from the Olympic opening ceremony. He is backing down from his commitment to accept public financing in the GE, denying he completed the IPO survey (staff did it, which has been proven wrong BTW), excuses his denial of a NAFTA meeting (didn't know), and on and on.

I see a lack of strength that is essential in our CIC. If he can't even take a position on the day-to-day stuff or stand up to commitments he himself made on paper, what will he do when faced with the huge challenges ahead?

McCain made a strong statement when his introducer slammed Obama. This seems like a no brainer.

As with Texas, here in Washington State, most of our continuing caucus process is not going well for Sen Clinton - in the six Legislative District caucus that I have results for from Saturday, she lost delegates and Obama picked up more.

Going to interesting to see what happens ...

The way things are going for Clinton, the only options left for are:
1. Prove that Obama sent Penn to talk to the Columbian Ambassy,
2. Get Obama to become a Republican
3. Catch Obama doing the Spitzer thing
4. Buy all the votes of the remaining contests
5. Turn all those into Michigan were she ran unopposed
Finally have McCain disqualified due to his age, i.e. set the voting age limit retroactively to 70 years!
That's an order as tall as the Tuzla sniper fire! You got to laugh sometimes.

You probably have borrowed the word 'courage' from George Bush. But it is plain evident that the use to which you put it here is completely out of context. What does courage have to do with all this? One needs to be courageous in the face of adversity but no one needs courage (in the context you described it) to get food for infants!

The appropriate word to use in this context is ' good judgement' as the issues concerned need to be handled more with sagacity rather than blind courage like the one that sent George Bush on an adventure to Iraq. What the Americans are now paying for is Dubya's lack of judgement rather than courage.

DON'T BE DUPED !!!

Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses from early on. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.

But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. "Carpe diem" (harvest the day).

I think Hillary Clinton see's a beautiful world of plenty for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it's time America. Do this for your-selves, and your children's future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.

You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don't want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-selves.

Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama's. She also leads in the electoral college numbers that you must win to become President in the November national election. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!

As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.

Hillary Clinton has been OUT MANNED! OUT GUNNED! and OUT SPENT! 4 and 5 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.

If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON'T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.

The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket. Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.

I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton's offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama's place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history.

The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.

Fortunately the Clinton's have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton's. Only the Clinton's are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.

"This is not a game" (Hillary Clinton)

Sincerely

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

Best regards

jacksmith...

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot!

If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...

Obama supporters really have the George Bush thing.."You're either with us or against us," thing going.
If a Hillary supporter decides to vote for McCain in the general (if Obama is the nominee), that does not make them a neo-con. Not all Republicans are created the same. Just like all Democrats are not created the same. Neo-cons are the far right of the Republican party. In reality there isn't a lot of difference between a neo-con and a far left leaning democrat. In their own ways...both what everyone to think their way. Both want to suppress free speech. Both are narrow minded.

Obama supporters...you can be to the far left of the democratic party. Bush and Cheney can be the neo-cons to the far right of the Republican party. Us Hillary supporters are in the middle. Some of us have a lot more in common with moderate republicans, then the politically correct know-it-all Obama left wing fringe of the party.

Well, well, well, I think people are finally seeing what Obama really is. He is a liar, a racist, and full of hot air. The media excuses every thing he does or doesn't do. He doesn't go to the MLK rally to pay his respects to the Reverend on the anniversary of his death, but continues to campaign in Indiana. He contributes money to his racist church elders and no one says a thing about it,( this happened within the last couple of years). He doesn't, once again fully denounce the blow hard comments of Ed Schultz and he gets a pass. when is this insanity going to end? HILLARY in 2008!

Big Eddie Shultz is a fat old man who speaks trash talk about Hillary daily on his radio "show". Shultz is disgusting, he sounds just like Rushie Limbaugh, same style of vitriolic commentary. Shultz regularly denigrates Democrats as well as McCain.

The North Dakota Democratic Party should have more class than asking old fat windbag Shultz to speak at their meeting.

Shultz, Randi Rhodes (who should be fired for calling Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton, f----- who---s in an Air America appearance fundraising for Obama), Rachel Maddow, Stephanie Miller, all radio shows on Air America and Jones Radio are all attacking Hillary 24/7 while promoting Obama. It's really blatant and ugly. So called fellow Dems attacking Hillary. The left wingnut radio has proved itself far worse than right wingnut radio.

Hillary has endured 24/7 attacks in all forms of media, print, tv, radio and blogs, yet she still ROCKS!

Obama should disassociate himself from the hateful comments of Shultz and Rhodes immediately. Obama should also disassociate himself from Jeremiah Wright and his new "pastor" Moss who is just as bad as Wright.

What kind of man, what kind of father would subject his own part white children to the racist, anti-white, anti-semitic, anti-American, pro-Farakhaan, nation of islam supporter Wright who believes that the U.S. Govt "created AIDS to kill black people"??

Not the kind of man who should be President. Obama calls Wright his "mentor"? Why? It calls into serious question the lack of character and poor judgment of Barack Hussein Obama.

*VOTE SMART! VOTE HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON!*

The Democratic Party would be wise to remember that for decades WHITE WOMEN HAVE BEEN AND ARE THE MAJORITY VOTING BLOCK OF THE DEM PARTY AND WE WANT HILLARY!!

McCain is not a warmonger. Toward the end of his life and career, I think the reason he wants to continue bUSh's war is to revenge. His past must have been haunting him to be shot down, became a POW, tortured by VC, then lived as a loser of Vietnam war.

If McCain is not a warmonger, then what is he doing in this video?

http://youtube.com/watch?v=o-zoPgv_nYg

He had better come up with a great answer, because it won't make the world community happy to see his lack of statesmanship, and it won't help him win votes among the young people he so cavalierly sends to die for abolutely nothing.

Watching this video, it occurs to me that Pat Buchanan, whom I never agree with, may be right. McCain may make Cheney look like Ghandi.

SHAME ON YOU MCCAIN. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY AND YOUR BLATANT WARMONGERING IS NOT WHAT WE WANT OR NEED.

If McCain is to make a race out of this, he'd better start with a clean slate.

That means rolling back on supporting the decision to go to war in Iraq.

He also should disoccciate carefully from Bush and his immediate advisers.

Chop off the entire immediate past and start a new virgin run.

You may get the support of independent and committed conservatives who see basic sense in economic policies.

Again, minus Iraq War and all the sabre-rattling tactics, however much thay may seem to be the easier path.

In other words, the path of least resistance within the GOP leads nowhere..no Whitehouse....

Forget the RNC! Where were they when McCain supporters and surrogates at a McCain rally insulted Sen. Obama by using languages that should never be used in public? Ed was speaking on his own - air waves and not at an Obama rally - Obama cannot start muzzling people around, that is is something the RNC is good at.

Sen. Obama has ALWAYS supported the seating of delegates from Fla. and Michigan - he wants them seated fairly and equally, such as dividing them on a 50/50 basis. It is Obama who followed the DNC rules and Hillary did, BUT now Hilary wants to force us and DNC to change those rules. Rules are made to be obeyed not broken.

In view of recent attacks from the Clintons on some of our delegates and superdelegates, I am now convinced that Hillary cannot lead this Party and this country. If the superdelegates "select" Hillary, disregarding the will of the people who have voted in the primaries and caucases, I will LEAVE the Democratic Party.

THE MEDIA LIKE AP-CNN AND MSNBC ARE SELLING OUT AMERICANS
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2008/04/05/ap-covers-obama-avoiding-churchs-pastors-essence
Associated Press: Playing defense for Obama: Karen Hawkins and Christopher Wills of the Associated Press quilty of Wright-wash! In their articles Hawkins and Wills avoid any mention of the main tenets of "Black Liberation Theology that form the foundation and belief system of the Trinity United Church of Christ. AP pair purposely avoided any mention of inflammatory items in weekly bulletin articles published by the Church.

Nowhere in the story's 1,200-plus words was there any mention of the Church's belief system, which was outlined by McClatchy's Margaret Tavel on March 20: Obama's church pushes controversial doctrines. Jesus is black. Merging Marxism with Christian Gospel may show the way to a better tomorrow. The white church in America is the Antichrist because it supported slavery and segregation. Those are some of the doctrines that animate the theology at the core of Obama's church.

Wright said basis for Trinity's philosophies is the work of James Cone, founded the modern black liberation theology movement out of the civil rights struggles of the 1960s. Particularly influential was Cone's seminal 1969 book, "Black Theology & Black Power. Cone wrote that the U.S. was a white racist nation and the white church was the Antichrist for having supported slavery and segregation.

In the July 22 bulletin, in the "Pastor's Page" section, the Rev. Wright gave two pages of space to a colunmn by "Hamas TERRORIST Mousa Abu Marzook. The column originally appeared in the Los Angeles Times, which came under heavy criticism for running it. Among Marzook's many whoppers: A number of political parties today control blocs in the Israeli Knesset, while advocating for the expulsion of Arab citizens from Israel and the rest of Palestine, envisioning a single Jewish state from the Jordan to the sea. CAMERA.org wrote at the time that "that no Israeli parties in government advocate the 'expulsion' of Arabs; one calls for voluntary transfer."

A June 10 bulletin article, also in the "Pastor's Page" section, was written by terrorist sympathizer Ali Baghdadi. Among other things, Baghdadi wrote I must tell you that Israel was the closest ally to the White Supremacists of South Africa. In fact, South Africa allowed Israel to test its nuclear weapons in the ocean off South Africa. The Israelis were given a blank check: they could test whenever they desired and did not even have to ask permission. Both worked on an ethnic bomb that kills Blacks and Arabs. The KKK, on its worst day, never accused the ethnic groups it hated of attempting to concoct a "white bomb. Rev. Wright not only allowed these hate-filled diatribes to appear in TUCC's bulletins but supports as does Obama.

GREENBURG, Pa
OBAMA LIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AD
It's unfortunate that Senator Obama is using false advertising to explain why he can be trusted to do something about energy prices. In his ad, Obama says, I'm Barack Obama, and I don't take money from oil companies or lobbyists, and I won't let them block change any more. Obama has been the recipient of more than $220,000 from the oil and gas industry just since as of Feb/08. Two of Obama's campaign bundlers are also CEOs for oil and gas companies, per his campaign Web site? Obama needs to answer to VOTERS about his dealings with one of his largest contributors Exelon, a big nuclear power company that he cut deals behind closed doors protecting them from full disclosure in the nuclear industry. Exxon, Shell, and others are among his biggest donors

Obama said he goofed on votes angered fellow Democrats in the Senate when he voted to strip millions of dollars from a child welfare office on Chicago's West Side. But Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed! Also announced he had fumbled an election-reform vote the day before, on a measure that passed 51 to 6. The next day, he acknowledged voting "present" on a key telecommunications vote. He stood on March 11, 1999, to take back his vote against legislation to end good-behavior credits for certain felons in county jails. "I pressed the wrong button on that," he said. Obama was the lone dissenter on Feb. 24, 2000, against 57 yeas for a ban on human cloning. "I pressed the wrong button by accident," he said. But two of Obama's bumbles came on more-sensitive topics, he backed legislation to permit riverboat casinos to operate even when the boats were dockside. The measure, pushed by the gambling industry and fought by church groups whose support Obama was seeking, passed with two "yeas" to spare -- including Obama's. Moments after its passage he rose to say, explaining that he had mistakenly voted for it.

Obama would later develop a reputation as a critic of the gambling industry, and he voted against a similar measure two years later. But he was clearly confused about how to handle the issue at the time of his first vote, telling a church group that he was "undecided" about whether he backed an expansion of riverboat gambling. And, months earlier, he had voted in favor of a version of the bill.

The headline should be "Dirty Obama lies again" "Obama swims in the gutter". Lord Obama lies day after day. Let us not put lipstick on a pig. The creep is a liar and a fraud. Thankfully, it makes great campaign commercials for August. The American people are not going to vote for a lying McGovern.

What's with the multiple posts? Are fanatical supporters passing out with emotion while clicking on 'submit'?

gdodd414: What's that nonsense about lacking courage to vote for reproductive rights in Ill? That has been refuted innumerable times. I won't clutter up the forum with a long winded explanation, but if you're having difficulty recalling, go to http://www.barackobama.com/factcheck/2007/12/20/fact_check_present_votes_are_a.php

That of course assumes you're open to the possibility that the Clinton spin may be inaccurate.

As for those who insist that they'll vote for McCain if Barack/Hillary wins the nomination, get real. Look what the Nader protest did to us in 2000. This isn't high school, it's peoples lives. Put McCain in office and then enjoy the next 4 or 8 years while Alito and Thomas clones put on their robes and set this country back another 50 years. Or maybe watch more of your fellow Americans shipped off to quell the Iraqi civil wars. That's real political acumen.

NEO-CONS FOR HILLARY ! ! !

Pretend that you're a Democrat (Hillary supporter)

Smear Obama with any of the following:

1. He's a Muslim
2. He's not Black enough
3. He's not White enough
4. He's not patriotic
5. He's a racist

note: never address any "issues", instead smear him with any association: his pastor, someone who endorses him, his wife, his father, etc. always make racist commments (i.e. compare him to Jim Jones), put his middle name in capital letters...and MOST IMPORTANT repeat it over and over (check FoxNews for latest smear)

remember: Americans are stupid! (look how we got them in the Iraq war!)

if you repeat anything enough, they'll believe it.

then

SAY IF OBAMA IS NOMINATED, YOU WON'T VOTE DEMOCRATIC IN NOVEMBER

* note: this is generally true, but if Hillary is nominated, it doesn't matter who gets elected...you can vote for whomever you want....McCain is slightly better, but both are in our lobby's pocket, i.e. both Clinton and McCain will put America in our WARS

THE NEOCON LOBBY OWNS BOTH MCCAIN AND HILLARY.

Barack Hussein is too clever for his own good. He has adopted this holier than thou attitude that means "accept my statements as genuine but if you fire a broadside at me it amounts to racism, right wing criticism and committing America to occupation of Iraq for a 100 years". He gets infuriated when his middle name Hussein is mentioned!! What does he find so "objectionable"??? After all he claims "never to have been a practicing Muslim" but a genuine Christian; even though his "conversion" was done by the hate monger yet mentor - Jeremiah Wright.

No wonder his elitist supporters (at last they too are losing jobs!) are wondering whether this inexperienced but loquacious talker can deliver in these tough times. He is slipping in the polls that cannot be overcome even by the ever kind big media and left liberal journos who keep cheer leading for him through syrupy writeups and finding "neutralizing" though contrived, comments from the Hillary camp.

If the super delegates refuse to apply their minds and nominate Barack Hussein, Hillary supporters will still have the last laugh by voting McCain!!!

What repudiation? Obama is airing a disagreement of the wording used, not a repudiation of the comment itself. there is no "I strongly disagree with ...", just "John McCain is not a warmonger, etc etc, oh and btw, he supported the Iraq War". Seems like Obama can double-speak about his standard of "changing the petty politics of Washington" without getting burned by the press.

I am glad that Sen Obama has denounced the remarks that Mr. Schultz made. However, I
resently watched a "Sort of Spoof" that Sen McCain made in a Speech to Veterans where he joked about an old song:

Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Iran

The song title was actually;

Barb, Barb, Barb, Barbara Ann"

Sounds like saber rattling or War Mongering to me. He did not get laughes from the Veterans either. The name calling
distracts from the problems we face. We can
not focus on the real issues. And the real
problem is the Campaign must be completed
and all must be heard and If Fl

votes would have really made an impact. But
now how will it look to reward them. They
should be seated and but neither candidate
should benefit.

Obama has already demonstrated that he is lacking in the courage department. He lacked to courage to rebuke his pastor early on when Obama heard him make racist remarks. He lacked the courage to rebuke his aide's warmonger remarks. Obama lacked the courage to stand for infants when he was an Illinois Senator. Obama lacks courage. How can we expect him to have enough courace in the face of withering pressure from Russia, or Iran, or China, or North Korea? Obama simply lacks courage and his actions on recent episodes clearly demonstrates this fact.

Alec MacGillis,

I'd like to know if you were one of the 100 or so media members who John McCain invited to his ranch in Arizona for a big BBQ a few weeks ago. All those invited were also put up at a 5 star hotel where they enjoyed fancy French wines and deep tissue massages.

I know that Dana Bash of CNN was one of the reported who was there (and her reports on McCain consist of little more than reading statements from the McCain camp and reporting them as news.

Do journalists have a code of ethics that this would violate, or does anything go in journalism? And if you were one of the invitees Alec, please explain how this would NOT affect your reporting.

Ed Schultz is right: McCain IS a warmonger. 1) In the year 2000, McCain made a speech calling for the overthrow by force of "rogue nations". 2) Just before George W's invasion of Iraq, McCain took to the floor of the senate in response to Senator Byrd's "I cry for my Nation" speech. McCain said there were WMD in Iraq and called for the invasion in words almost exactly the same as those of Bush. 3) McCain did make the "we will be in Iraq for another 100 years" comment. Whatever happened to "the straight talk" express? Now he's trying to back off this warmonger statement because he knows it is like kryptonite. 4) He also made the "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" claim. Now he and his supporters say he was "joking". Only a very sick mind would call for such a thing and the death and destruction it brings. 5) Just a few days ago, Yahoo news reported that McCain called for a big US military buildup. It's unclear how McCain would pay for this (balancing budgets isn't a Republican thing anymore) or how the troop levels he wants could be achieved (since he claims now to be opposed to a draft and since volunteers aren't signing up in the numbers needed). But make no mistake, he wants a larger role for the military and EVEN MORE MONEY to be spent on them.

For all these reasons, he really is a warmonger. Too bad so many in the collaborationist mainstream media won't call him on this. But they were bought off cheap weeks ago by deep tissue massages and a BBQ at McCain's spread and a 5 star hotel in Arizona.

Make no mistake about it, if elected, McCain will make Bush look like Neville Chamberlain.

Well, it's a 48-state campaign vs. a 10-state campaign. (CA, NY, TX, OH, PA, MI, FL, etc.) Clinton's been saying that certain states "don't count" since early February. Iowa didn't count, she was just getting warmed up. South Carolina didn't count, too many black people.

All the states Obama won "didn't count" because they were either too black, too caucusy, too misogynistic, too small, too red, or too "Latte-Liberal."

And then for her to try and steal his pledged delegates, that's just below the belt.
