And Now, a Live Parrot for Obama
By Garance Franke-Ruta
It's another morning (afternoon?) after, and as the superdelegates continue their steady march toward Barack Obama, online, a video that combines virtually every element necessary to create a YouTube hit is starting to go viral around the web. It's no "An Engineer's Guide to Cats" or "Skateboarding Dog", but it still contains some of the essential ingredients of YouTube videos that have come to define the medium.
Cute animal? Check.
Doing a funny trick? Check.
Involving politics? Check.
And supporting Barack Obama? Also check.
Most importantly, a week after Hillary Clinton's campaign started to be compared to the legendary Monty Python skit involving a dead parrot, it features a living, breathing pro-Obama one.
Without further ado, then, "Smokey says Yes, We Can!"
Says video poster "dougdilg," "He does this all day and the closer we come to the final nomination the more excited he's become."

To the person who isn't voting for Obama because he's pro choice... what an unintelligent decision. You want all these unwanted babies to be born, but you don't want to take care of them... clearly neither did the pregnant woman, so who's supposed to take them when their born?
Obama is a statesman, the first one we've had in more years than I can remember. He will change the rule of tyranny that has lasted far too long in this country, he will make good on changing things for the better, he has honesty on his side, intelligence and so much more.
He can make a difference. He needs to win.
Why don't you vote for that instead of something as inflamed as unwanted babies that you want to have born, but unloved with nowhere to go.

For the record, the reason I am not voting for Barack HUSSEIN Obama (that is his name) is because I am pro-life and he is not, not because of the color of his skin.

It's kinda sad to realize that a bird has more intelligence than the majority of appalachian voters...

...by Dana Milbank? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Congratulations, Garance. I do hope it's worth the money.

I didn't watch the video, and I suggest everyone else does the same.
One of the drivers of viral vids are MSM hacks who, rather than doing real reporting, post trivial items like this. For instance, when ABC news started promoting the Obama girl vid, it only had about 700 views. The Will.I.Am vid was promoted by this site, by the NYT, and by Time.
Meanwhile, they ignore videos that deal with real issues about the candidates:

The MSM is never going to ask the candidates about those issues, we're going to need to do it ourselves.
