Another Bush in the White House?

By Dan Eggen
LONDON -- The election of 2008 has been widely noted as the possible end of the Bush dynasty. But President Bush and the first lady have another candidate in mind to extend the brand: Bush's brother, Jeb.

During an interview in London with SkyNews, the Rupert Murdoch-owned satellite network, the correspondent asked: "We've had father and son in the White House. Is that the end or not?"

Bush responded: "Well, we've got another one out there who did a fabulous job as governor of Florida, and that's Jeb. But you know, you better ask him whether or not he's thinking of running. But he'd be a great president."

Laura Bush, who was also being interviewed, chimed in, calling public service "an unbelievable life" and saying that "one of the reasons George and his brother, Jeb, served in office is because they admired their father so much."

"So he's not the last Bush?" the reporter asked, referring to the president.

"Well, who knows," Laura Bush responded. "We'll see."

Well, Boo-Hoo, were have you been?

OF COURSE, all of Fact-Checker's facts are correct. You can Google any of them that you don't believe...

When John McCain has his "heart attack" or "embolism", who doesn't think that the Bushie's couldn't force Jeb in as the replacement nominee.

J-F-C...please kick this family out of this country!!!!

Ya hear all the Republicans screaming about the Democrats won't let us drill offshore in Florida. It was Jeb Bush that shut it down. He ain't a Democrat. He's in the back pocket of developers that raped the state and would be in cardiac arrest if an oil spill washed up on their condo littered beaches.

So the Bush dynasty is already writing off 2008 and their tag-along Bush Hugger, looking ahead to Jeb's turn at bat in 2012.

I'm from Florida. I witnessed Mongoloid Boy take us from 47th to 50th in education. What can I say, he's like static electricity, he rubs off on people like a withering osmosis. The state of Florida is bankrupt. Thousands are migrating out instead of in. The only ones coming in are wet footers and they're toweling their feet off just as fast as they can in order to get their voter cards and start punchin in Iliana's Ross Leitan's name into their ballots.

If Jeb makes it to the White House our democracy will officially be over. Sorry, that's as rosy as it gets when it comes that demented bowling pin shaped clown. I'd call him the ultimate Manchurian Candidate but that would be an insult to Manchuria. He's a big dumb galute who rides the same one trick pony that big brother Chimpy rode to our ruin: Tax cuts for the rich.

Stick Jebbie in the White House and you'll have to rename our country the Fifty States of Greed. Pink Floyd's "Money" will be the national anthem and the national phrase, "Keep your hands off my stash" will replace "In God We Trust" on all of our coins.

The scary thing is that repubs admire big dumb one-trick-pony galutes(Reagan) and show up in big numbers when one of these savants is on the ballot. God help us. I rarely wish biblical plagues upon people but in this case I'm ording up a batch of louse riding horseback on 20 million 17year locust to fly into Jeb's shorts and have themselves a little Woodstock in there. That's not to say the Jeb is currently louseless or that he would necessarrily be averse to such an apocalyptic infestation--he is the distant spawn of a lousy Nazi dealing Grandpappy after all. It's just that times are getting desperate and a little divine intervention is called for. So to make it easy on you repub voters out there, the candidate with terminal jock itch will be NOT be God's candidate. That would be Jebbie, the temple money changer. God says vote for the other guy. (Or gal.)

We need another Bush in the White House like we need a national dose of Colo-Rectal Cancer (wait, we already have that now,and have had it for the last eight years). NOT ANOTHER BUSH!!!!!

Posted by: Wyrmfyre 333 | June 16, 2008 9:15 PM | Report abuse

Jeb is going to pick Lon Cheney as his VP.

Posted by: KAckermann | June 16, 2008 8:21 PM | Report abuse

we need a constitutional amendment to stop this!

NO MORE BUSHes in the White House, not as cabinet members, janitors, cooks, secret service agents and OF COURSE not VP or President. In fact I think n light of their many years of ""service" and role in the destruction of this country no descendants of Bush I should ever be allowed to ANY elective office.

and yes people can be that stupid, lets not put that to the test.

Posted by: richard weaver | June 16, 2008 6:38 PM | Report abuse

Now that he has said it you can bet that Jeb's goose is cooked. ANYTHING George touches turns to crud. And he is going to have to wait 16 years at least. After George, a Bush for dogcather...maybe.

One only has to look at the background of Prescott Bush (the seed of greed) Americans got what they deserved for being so stupid in falling for a family with such a despicable history.

They have scammed the entire country...for hundreds of billions.

I hope they are kidding about this. The entire Bush family should spend the next 100 years in shamed silence and obscurity. Porky Pig would be a better candidate than Jeb, but I don't know if he is a Republican.

Posted by: Clint | June 16, 2008 3:27 PM | Report abuse

In order to be elected, one must be at least 35 years old. Also, each candidate must be a natural-born U.S. citizen and have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years.

but being a Republican,
we can assume they will LOWER THE BAR
so he can belly up and have a drink

If tanking the Florida economy is considered "a fabulous job as Governor" then I suppose Jebby did. Another Bush in public service would mandate universal health care to facilitate removal of the member broken off in the collective sphincter of working americans.
The Constitution and Democracy in general could not sustain another Bush in "public service" since that's what they choose to call it. It's not really, it's Corporate Service. Impeachment and trial is the only method to restore america's faith in government and the rule of law. I also don't believe that even an uninformed electorate would buy into another "restoring honor and dignity" sham Bush candidate. It would be the equivalent of a German candidate named Hitler.
"Rebranding" the rebuplican party would be useless. When an organ or appendage is so ravaged by disease or accident, it threatens the entire body and must be removed. At this point, the Republican party has decimated it's host to the point that it must be removed and discarded. Legislated out of existance. This is the legacy of Reagan/Bush. We need to remember them appropriately and name some of these new privatized federal prisons after these "statesmen"

McCain will choose Jeb as VP. No suprise, just like Cheney was no suprise.

Posted by: inthecards | June 16, 2008 2:13 PM | Report abuse

McCain gets a pass, because he was a POW, which evidently trumps everything. Maybe if he was a better flying student, etc. etc.
He even has a reputation as a "maverick" although I have yet to see that borne out. His voting record is mostly all republican, and all his ephemeral previous opinions are now null and void. Amazing. Having Lieberman at his side just is the icing on his cake......phooey

Someone has to protect the interests of the Bush Crime Family. After GW become a persona no gratis in the USA and slinks off to the family hideout in Paraguay, who will defend their ill-gotten gains?? I guess it didn't work out just the way Barbara Bush wanted, eh? The takeover of America was supposed to be complete so that they could simply install the next son. The whole family should be brought up on racketeering charges.

Seems Lady Laura let one slip out; BFEE is in public office for their own self-interests. It's amazing how forthright they are about living in an alternate universe.

I think this story was meant to be published in The Onion. The fact that it's here (implying that it's not some kind of sick joke) leaves me flabbergasted. How much longer will the people allow these wealthy elites to rape our country?

Don't forget that McCain graduated 894 out of the 899 students that graduated from the Naval Academy in 1958. Why was this man permitted to operate an airplane?

As for the "Barack Hussien Obama" comment, do your research before you claim others are ignorant. Barack Obama is NOT a Muslim. That is just what FOX News wants you to believe, and obviously, you are buying the nonsense.

Boy, the Bush bashers are out. When people say someone has done something illegal when there is no proof they are either ignorant, stupid, or liars, perhaps all three. And the funny part, I'm not a Bush fan, but then again I will never be a Barack Hussien Obama, JD, ES fan either.

Jeb illegally supressed the vote in FL. He also took tax dollars and gave them to religious institutions that were little more than drop boxes. They, in turn, gave him contributions. The whole family is crooked.

We nearly had another Bush this time around. her name is Hillary.

Posted by: Old Joe | June 16, 2008 12:35 PM | Report abuse

Yep, people of credibility.

If another one of those Bushies run for office, I reserve the right to believe that a coalition formed against his election will have probably marked the greatest in history if that happens.

No thanks.

You don't have to worry about Jeb ever following in your footsteps, George. You made sure the family name is political poison for the next couple decades, at least.

While Jeb Bush may be eminently qualified to be POTUS, the incompetence displayed by his bro, the current POTUS has ruined any chance of him being elected.

McCain cheated on his first wife with his current wife.
He called his current wife a "cun*".
He cheated with subordinates while in the military -- a criminal offense. Was he ever charged? Why not?
He married his second wife ONE MONTH after divorcing his first wife.
He tried to kill himself at least twice. What type of psychiatric care did he receive over this?
All facts that no one here wants to check. Yet a known slimebag makes an Internet video while working for McCain and the Post "checks" its lies, meaning opens the door for yet more Swift Boating this year.
Check the facts of McCain's awful treatment of women instead of doing stenography work about how he is "reaching out" to women!
