Biden Sick of the Age Talk

By Perry Bacon Jr.
DENVER -- Joe Biden may be experienced, but don't call him old.

"By the way, if I hear one more time [Obama] was 11 years old when I went to the Senate, I'm going to smack someone," the 65-year-old Biden told a meeting of Pennsylvania's delegates to the convention. "There are only four senators senior to me, but there are 44 older."

Biden has repeated his point about the older senators every day since he joined Obama on the Democratic ticket, but only added in the smackdown threat today.

In his speech this morning to several dozen from the state where he was born, Biden also seemed to compare himself to his new running mate. He said there were "hundreds of thousands of people" at his first campaign speech in Wilmington, Del., when he ran for the Senate in 1972 at the age of 29. He said that speech had similarities to Obama's rhetoric.

"This isn't about me trying to fit Biden and Obama together, it's a natural fit," the Delaware senator said. "Barack Obama could have made that speech were he alive in 1972."

Biden and the crowd laughed, and he added, "He was alive."

Biden is so politically correct that he and Obama both bash men and fathers, ripping families further apart instead of offering real solutions like equality in divorce. They both support the current rampant false abuse and rape allegations against men and fathers.

They support the rest of the PC lies and anti-male hysteria which vilifies good men and fathers and drives them from families with no wrongdoing. Hearsay is enough for them.

Biden is the very proud author of VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) which capitalizes on the political popularity of these lies, hysteria, paranoia and propaganda.

The worst part of VAWA well may be that it exploits women and abuses them and especially their children in the name of being their saviors: www.true-equality.org

In response to Big D from Little D (which has humorous overtones on it's own):

Ask anyone who knows, or has known Biden in the past, if Biden hasn't done his fair share of smacking a few heads in his time. You may learn something.

McCain? He couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper sack.

Everytime McCain flashes that fake smile it gives me the willies. It looks like the grim reaper has come to town to take us all home.

"But she is too smart too let a charlatan like Obama steal from her again."

All of the weeping in the world won't change the fact that Mrs. Clinton lost. To say it was stolen demeans Mrs. Clinton's effort - which was exceptional.

Democrats are rallying behind Obama. The PUMA river of tears leads right to the Republican party - where it began.

Age is not the issue. McCain's cognitive degeneration is the issue. Just watch video of McCain from 2000 to see the deterioration.

Biden is vigorous; McCain is feeble.

Mccain/Reagan you be the judge.

In an interview just a few days ago Mccain was asked the meaning of honor. Instead of answering the question, not a very hard or pointed question. Mccain answered "Read my book". The answer didn't even make any sense and the reporter asked him to be more clear. Mccain out of no where got angry and answered, "I have five books you can read". What is going with John Mccain?

R. Reagan
Nevertheless, speculation about Mr. Reagan's mental status
plagued his White House years. He was reported to doze off at White House meetings and to be dependent on cue cards. "I know a little about those cue cards," Dr. Daniel Ruge, who was White House physician during Mr. Reagan's first term, said in an interview this week.
Experts say the diagnosis of Alzheimer's can be made with reasonable certainty in most cases, and autopsy studies have borne out the accuracy of the diagnosis in most cases of Alzheimer's.

Right on the money, this is the biggest story in the election and it is not even being covered. Other then to be talked about by reporters behind the scenes. One Miami reporter made a few comments in a story and it got cut. I was told this by his camera man who is a neighbor. Most reporters if cornered on the subject will say he is nuts and thats is all there is to it. Tucker Carlson made sort of an allusion to it and then cut himself off and the rest of the panel acted like it had never been said..

The NEOCONS who control the Military Industrial Complex in America are trying to ride McCain's "maverick" brand into the White House. McCain is a willing accomplice at a time he should be in retirement, because he wants to achieve his life long ambition. Whomever ends up on the ticket behind McCain is your real Presidential candidate. They are just trying to shuttle McCain through the election to deceive the American people.

The Mainstream media and McCain's handlers have focused on selling Americans on imagery of the "War Hero...Maverick...Naval Aviator" while hiding the disturbing side of McCain, that he is in fact mentally unstable, perhaps suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome), alzheimers or the onset of senility. McCain was tortured so severely in Vietnam that he tried to commit suicide. Nine out of 10 POW's who returned from Vietnam were diagnosed with PTSD. This may explain his irrational behavior but it does not explain the MSM ignoring some disturbing realities.

There is age then there is mental infirmity. Mccain now has taken to carrying a hand full of cards with him all the time like Reagan did. He is never without them. Watch him closely, he refers to them constantly and not to make a speech. The other day he looked down at his cards to thank someone who had just introduced him. He actually read "Thank you" then he looked again to acknowledge where he was. When Reagan did it at the time we thought nothing of it. Later we learned he was suffering the early stages of Alzheimers. John Mccain is a sick man, you only need to look at him. This the elephant in the room that no one will report on. It is like it is the 1940 and the media pretended RDF could walk. What the F is going here?

As a volunteer for "Women in Distress". An organization for abused women and women in need, I can tell you, you are nuts. What is your definition of
"Equally"? I can tell you it would be a ratio of 99.5 to about .5 between abused men and women. You are really grasping for straws. Ridiculous and typical from what we have heard in the last few months.

There is a 7 year difference, which at that age is huge, especially since Biden still seems very articulate, McCain on the other hand looks and acts old with multiple public instances of making gaffes in public.

What do you think of his forgetfulness?

But I know, he was a POW.

"Obama pales in comparison to Joe Biden. Joe has experience and judgment. Obama has a pretty voice."

Obama has a natural talent for solving complex problems with very simple solutions that no other politician has been able to accomplish, here are two examples.

Campaign finance: He proved that even an unlikely candidate can break fundraising records without taking a dime from PACs or lobbyists and probably will break records without taking taxpayer money. How long has the senate worked on this issue?

The Iraq war: Obama has steadfastly stuck to the proposal of turning over the responsibility to the Iraqis for their future by proposing a timeline for withdrawal. Both Bush, Cheney and McCain were dead-set against this idea calling Obama "Dangerously Naive". Now it seems that Bush, Maliki and McCain have ALL adopted OBAMA's plan (and soon it will be official) for setting a timeline for withdrawal.

NO other politician, or groups of politicians have been able to accomplish what Obama has and he isn't even POTUS.

You are exactly right. I have seen him a number of times now. In person he is death warmed over. I still can see waking up to a news flash, "John Mccain taken to a hospital today from a massive stroke". There is no way in hell if he is elected he survives the first four years. Either death in office of removed because he can;t fulfill his duties. His handlers are already nursing him along just trying to make it through November. If anyone gets a chance see him in person and you will see what I mean.

McCain has earned the title McCorpse for a reason. Up close, the guy looks nearly 10 years older. He so many age spots that he looks like a leopard, his teeth are a crusty yellow and while veins veins bulge from his forehead all the guy can do is talk like a broken record about War, The Surge and being a War Hero. This Neocon Trojan Horse is playing the good soldier as the candidate of the American War Machine, even as we watch a human deteriorate before our eyes. McCain seems to have a tape recorder playing the same tune about being a prison of war for 5 years. Everytime I look at McCain he reminds me of one of the Zombies from The Night of the Living Dead. McCain is so messed up mentally that it should be a Scandal that a guy who is showing signs of Senility, Alzheimers or PTSD is not exposed by the media. My fear is that Americans wake up to realize that they have elected an Insane Man who will be propped up as the Neocons continue to run wild.

"McCain's "age" issue has been effectively defused as well"
JakeD

------

By how?, he certainly isn't getting any younger. It is a valid concern, especially since he shows signs of forgetfulness, like Czecholasvakia and the Soviet Union don't exist anymore, or the difference between Shiites and Sunnis, or the way he voted, or things he said, or the borders between countries in the middle east.

Romney can't help him with that because he has the same problem, he recently referred to Russia as he "Soviet Union" four times in an interview, even after he was corrected and apparently thinks that Poland and Russia share a border.

McCain and Romney, a couple of real "foreign policy" experts.

Biden has done it all on his own, without family connections to get into college, without inherited or married into wealth, or without first running for office in what was a one party state after being nationally known as a war hero, all of which are reasons behind McCain's success. He had great support from his family which is a great example of another showing of the "we stick together" slogan of Irish Catholic families made most famous by the Five Sullivan Brothers of Waterloo, Iowa.

John McCain's age is a biological fact of life; people his age naturally slow down, have memory recall issues, become easily confused. Overall, McCain does well for himself, however the aging patterns are from time to time showing up. The aging factor is one to be considered.

Come on, Joe! You're such a lightweight you couldn't smack a 72 year old woman without getting the "tar" beaten out of you. You'd run with your "tail between your legs" just as fast as you could as soon as she raised her fist! Total population of Delaware was only 737,000 in 2000 and that includes all the Pennsylvania, Marylanad and Washington types who have moved there in order to avoid taxes!
