McCain Endorsed by Two Cleveland Browns Players

By Michael D. Shear
STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- Sen. John McCain picked up a pair of surprise endorsements here, shocking the crowd by bringing out two of the most popular players for the Cleveland Browns to back his candidacy.

Brady Quinn, a quarterback for the team, and Joe Thomas, a left tackle, prompted screams of joy from the crowd of thousands assembled here.

"Too often we label people heroes. Get caught up in the moment. But tonight, we have a real hero amongst us," Quinn said in endorsing McCain. "I believe Sen. McCain is a strong role model...He never quit. That's a lesson we can all learn from."

The crowd roared, but it was unclear exactly who they were roaring for.

One woman in the crowd yelled "You're Hot!" and another screamed, "Brady, I'm your lady! Woooooo!!"

Stupid knucklehead galootes for McCain!

Posted by: hayden1 | October 9, 2008 10:19 AM

There only one candidate in this race who has ever blown up buildings, destroyed five U.S. aircraft, committed economic genocide, and killed countless civilians with explosives.

That man is John McCain.

OVERPAID CELEBRITIES FOR MCCAIN!

Posted by: rooster54 | October 9, 2008 8:26 AM

But the real question is "Who is John McCaint"...

Here is the answer... A spineless, pathetic, coward.....

Could it be because of a McCaint rally on Monday, he asked, "Who is Barack Obama?" and a crowd member yelled out "Kill Him" & "Terrorist" as McCain held that silly smirk on his addled face.

Watch his response on the :14 sec mark...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVFWahLTdUo

...Why didnt McCaint talk about his running "nurse" peeeuuu Palin?

Neo-cons...please answer why his "pig" with lipstick was not mentioned......

Could it be because of 1200 dollar rape kits that victims pay in Alaska

Could it be because of the Alaskan Independence Party?

Could it be because of the Alaskan Independence Party sympathized with Timothy McVeigh.

Could it be because of AIP Founder Joe Vogel: “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government", “and I won't be buried under their damn flag." (Joe Vogel is buried in Canada.)

Could it be because of Vogels' rantings of ....“I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions." Joe Vogel – Founder.

Could it be because of Dexter Clark, vice chairman of the A.I.P.: refers to the American soldiers in Alaska as "occupying troops."

Could it be because of Michael Hill, a representative of A.I.P., stated on Glen Beck’s program that the goal of the A.I.P. is to dissolve the United States and the Constitution.

Could it be because of a rally in Ft. Myers Monday, a crowd member screamed, "Kill Him" as Sarah laughed and cheered with the crowd.

At the same racist rally a fake skinheaded sherriff waddles to the podium after peeeuuu and calls out Barack Hussein Obama to the crowd to further boos and chants of kill him...on Monday

Could it be because of the reprehensible type of political campaigning is typical of the desperation the Republican Party finds itself in, as their numbers in the polls fall like the stock market...

Could it be because of the Alaskan Drug Enforcement report under Palin proved uneffective...

http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/pubs/states/alaska.html

...Or could it be that McCaint forgot who she was...

....Or just that negative campaigning and negative pathetic ad's have a negative effect...

"Thanks But No Thanks".... to more lies and hate that bridge America to Nowhere, Alaska

"McCain never Quits."
That is so true. He never quits doing stupid things that are bad for the country.

Who needs to heed the scholarly advice of an honored graduate of the best college in the world when they can follow the boneheaded notions of a jock?

Bread and circuses.

Brady who ?

Posted by: mathas | October 9, 2008 7:50 AM

The 'Talking Points' are wonderful but the bottom line is that America is in some serious waters..... Obama has no experience, has endorsed and supported Fannie and Freddie, has hired their offcast CEO's, has nothing but a litany of outrageous, radical, socialist ties... how stupid can American be to support this kind of person? WAKE UP! The Progressive Dems are not Democrats... not the way you think. Electing this man would be the dummest thing you could ever do. A duck would be better... and fortunately, we have two Americans, McCain and Palin (who has 16 years experience as an elected official) to advocate for us in Washington.

Who cares what candidate a couple of overpaid muggers suport. Proves their greed that's all.

Posted by: rlloyd1 | October 9, 2008 2:00 AM

I would venture a guess that they make considerably more then $250,000.
With McCain their taxes would be less. Great motivation, why else would two thinking gentlemen support McCain?

Yeah, Bruce Springsteen is a much better endorsement. Geez . . .talk about trying to appeal to whites. At least you have sleezy Madonna on your side. She is REALLY credible.

Obama's connections should be a concern to Americans. He's connected to Acorn and they're being investigated for voter registration fraud. If Obama wins, its highly likely its due to voter fraud. At least 10 states have found thousands of new
registrations that were fraudulent. The FBI is investigating it.

ha ha...libs can't stand someone else having rock start status other than the "one".

Posted by: blevins20061 | October 8, 2008 8:59 PM

Real Brother here.

There are three groups that support John McCain and Sarah Palin and they are(in no peticular order) 1)White Racists, Hard Core White Supremacists 3)Black man hating lesbians.

We can't fault them for being who they are and honest about it, but it doesn't bely who and what they are.

As a Nation we simply can't afford their ilk.

"Aren't the Cleveland Browns 1 & 4?
McCain should have gotten the AZ Cardinals. At least they're 3 & 2.
Posted by: flyfishchef

Well, they did win the first half of the battle for Ohio.

John won't do that well.

Posted by: ceflynline | October 8, 2008 8:31 PM

Doesn't surprise me that they would back a loser. The Browns, lol!

Posted by: tydicea | October 8, 2008 8:27 PM

And the Browns suck... I guess that suggests only losers support McCain. I wonder who Jason Campbell supports?

Posted by: hyperbanana | October 8, 2008 7:16 PM

Dumb Jocks rule!

This endorsement is sure news worthy!

Posted by: dudemanguy | October 8, 2008 7:11 PM

BRADY QUINN is a pretender. HYPED top 5 FIRST ROUNDER who ended up crying his way into
the back room after being passed up by 22 teams.

Posted by: Sarah_Failin | October 8, 2008 7:03 PM

Ah, the Cleveland Browns... the Michael Dukakis of NFL teams. Not exactly who I'd want endorsing me.

Posted by: ManUnitdFan | October 8, 2008 7:02 PM

WHAT'S NEW. MILLIONAIRE SILVER SPOONED WHITIES

ENDORSING ANOTHER.

Posted by: Sarah_Failin | October 8, 2008 7:01 PM

In my opinion, John McCain, the 71 years old man, who gets tired, senile and angry so fast has proved beyond doubts that he is 100% disbale and rightly claimed dis ability benefits for the last 40 years. He also has cancer. On the otherside he selected an attractive but brainless, merciless, thoughtless and above all visionless PALIN as her vice president candidate. His senate trems are also full of many wrong judgements including Iraq war, which has not only bankrupted our Nation but along with the western world is financially crippled TOO.
For the God sake, America sake and the world sake, OBAMA IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR THE PRESIDENT AND LET WE ELECT HIM AND SEND MCCAIN TO ARIZONA DESERT FOR HIS PEACEFUL RETIREMENT AND SEND BUSH-CHENEY-RUMSFELD TO HAGUE TO GET PUNISHMENT FOR THEIR SINS.

Posted by: citysoilverizonnet | October 8, 2008 7:01 PM

Aren't the Cleveland Browns 1 & 4?

McCain should have gotten the AZ Cardinals. At least they're 3 & 2.

Posted by: flyfishchef | October 8, 2008 6:52 PM

One woman in the crowd yelled "You're Hot!" and another screamed, "Brady, I'm your lady! Woooooo!!"

Look out, Cindy McCain is after fresh meat!

Posted by: BillinChicago1 | October 8, 2008 6:46 PM

More like he doesn't know when to quit. He's driven by his own blind ambitions to be president and to heck with the country. His choice of Palin was proof of that.

I'd bet the crowd was screaming for Quinn, those Cleveland fans are loyal.

Posted by: wes1155 | October 8, 2008 6:38 PM

Ha yall i found out Mccain is a Terrorist,I found out Mccain is working on the Senate board with Barack Obama in paling around on the Senated floor with Barack Obama to get Bills pass.

YALL GET IT.

Posted by: hollowhollis | October 8, 2008 6:37 PM

Mr. Shear, were you there? Why is it "unclear" if the crowd roared right after "He never quit. That's a lesson we can all learn from."
