McCain to Appear on SNL Saturday
By Juliet Eilperin
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Does the road to the White House run through New York City television studios?
Apparently so. Ensuring that "Saturday Night Live" will have a banner election year, GOP presidential nominee John McCain will appear on the show Saturday.
"Senator McCain has appeared on the show before and always has a good time," said McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds. This will be his third appearance.
McCain's running mate Sarah Palin guest-starred on "SNL" earlier this month.

There are several ways for McCain to get to 270 electoral votes, or just a 269-269 tie. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/calculator/

Mark your words.....whatever. So tell me, how exactly does McBush get to 270 (while losing the popular vote of course) in the electoral college ?
Barack H Obama will be the 44th POTUS. Deal with it.

Pls review the history. McCain has hardly ever befriended W. Rivalry goes back to 2000 in South Carolina. McCain purposely removed himself from right wing GOP during last 8 years. McCain worked both sides of aisle (Barry never has). The press loved him...even got him back in the game as comeback kid in NH...until the chance to elect Barry came up. Press threw McCain under the bus.

McBush could "reach" 150 million Americans and it wouldn't matter.
The electorate by a majority, isn't buying what McCain has alternately been trying to sell.
And all this yada yada, about socialist, terrorist, Muslim, Wright, Ayers, Rezko and the lastest bogeyman Khalidi, is drenched in flop sweat as well.
Face it, Barack H Obama will be the next POTUS.

My dream is that Will Ferrell as George Bush would - without McSame expecting it - break into a sketch and start enthusiastically buddying up to him, maybe even encouraging McSame to "give me a hug - you know, like you used to do before this election this started." McSame would poop his Depends!

"Why Does Obama Hate God?"
My sources in the McCain campaign have forwarded me the transcript of a commercial they plan to air on Monday night before the election in a last-minute ad blitz they hope will turn the tide. An excerpt:
Voice of Concern: Have you heard about the secret plans for us hatched between Barack Obama and his Islamo-Socialist Muslim 9/11 Terrorist friends?
Pic of a brave-looking Rudy Giuliani against a backdrop of 9/11. Written quote: “Islamo-Socialism? That’s worse than Islamo-Fascism.”
Voice of Concern: Have you heard the stories about Barack Obama having sex with Israeli children and then eating them?
Photo of shirtless Obama with blood dripping from his mouth over the prone body of a little Hasid boy. Behind him, obscured, but clearly naked, Michelle Obama looking angry and demanding...

So close the the election... shouldn't Obama be invited, too? Given the timing, there is a serious question of fairness here, if only to keep the "gullible" vote honest.

From ABC News-
Jake Tapper is ABC News' Senior National Correspondent based in the network's Washington bureau.
"Meanwhile authorities revealed some answers as to who had improperly searched Wurzelbacher's personal records, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
* "The Toledo Police Department announced today that a civilian employee improperly pulled Wurzelbacher's information on behalf of a reporter for a Toledo television station shortly after the Oct. 15 presidential debate. The employee has been charged with gross misconduct and faces a disciplinary hearing, said Chief Michael Navarre. He declined to identify the TV station, but said the reporter confirmed asking for a check on Wurzelbacher's address.
* "The Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency also said an employee's computer was used to improperly access Bureau of Motor Vehicles records on 'Joe the Plumber.' The employee denies involvement.
* "Another access of Wurzelbacher's information, by an outside contractor who had access to an attorney general's office test account, is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol.
* "Inspector General Thomas P. Charles is investigating why the director of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services approved a check on Wurzelbacher through the state's child-support computer system. Director Helen Jones-Kelley said that after a 'team meeting,' she OK'd the check because the department often runs inquiries to check for unpaid child support when people are thrust into 'the public spotlight.'"
Jones-Kelly, a Democratic appointee who has given the Obama campaign $2,500, claimed to have had no political motivations when she allowed the check."

Another lap on the memory lane tour for McBush.
Much like his bewildering trip to Iowa to cross swords with the editorial staff of the Des Moine reister recently, it's hard not to see this for what it is.
McBush knows he isn't going to win. But hamming it up one last time (seriously, why would he even waste time with a trip to New York if he wasn't admitting defeat)on SNL as a WH "contendah" is too tempting to turn down.

Posted by: JakeD | October 31, 2008 9:41 AM
Good for McCain -- although I doubt he will "apear" on stage -- maybe Bob Dole would have won in 1996 if he could have loosened up too.

Seems a little risky the weekend before the election. Once again showing his old age could turn voters away...
