Conservative PAC Targets Michigan with Inflammatory Obama Ad

By Ed O'Keefe
A California-based conservative political action committee called Our Country Deserves Better has started airing an ad in Colorado, Nevada and Michigan that, among other things, seeks to associate Barack Obama with terrorist leaders and groups. The ad is one of at least eight by the group that use a series of already-debunked claims that in some cases were previously raised by other groups -- and also broadcasts remarks by Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, whom the McCain campaign has ruled off limits.

"Barack Obama seems to have different values from most Americans. His supporters put up Cuban flags with the murderer leftist Che Guevarra in Obama's campaign offices," an ad called "Wrong Values" states. "Obama's campaign received $33,000 in illegal donations from Palestinians living in the Middle East. A top official of the terrorist group Hamas endorsed Obama's campaign."

The ad then airs a clip of the Rev. Wright saying, "God damn America!"

The group's Web site states: "It's time someone stood up to Barack Obama and told the American people why this man cannot, and must not, serve as our next Commander-in-Chief."

The group has purchased ad time on either broadcast or cable stations in Colorado, Michigan and Nevada and may also expand to Ohio and Eastern Pennsylvania, according to group spokesman Joe Wierzbicki. The "Wrong Values" ad started airing Sunday night in Reno, Nevada.

"Michigan will remain the number one priority with our budget," Wierzbicki said, promising that for every new dollar the group raises in the coming weeks, "expect 50 cents of it to go to Michigan and then the remaining to be split on the other targeted states."

The Obama campaign declined comment on Our Country Deserves Better or its ads.

The group estimates it will spend $500,000 in Michigan from this week until Election Day. It will air a mix of 30- and 60-second spots. One ties Obama to the perceived failures of Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D-Mich.), another attacks the senator's tax record. The group has also produced 60-second spots for Michigan that discuss Obama's relationships with '60s radical William Ayers, the Rev. Wright and former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick; express support for Gov. Sarah Palin; and launch a general attack on Obama's record and rhetoric.

In Nevada, the group will spend $45,000 on broadcast and cable to air an ad that tries to tie Obama to Hamas, an ad critical of his tax record and a 60-second spot that uses comments made by Hillary Clinton against Obama during the primary campaign.

In Colorado this week, the group will spend $30,000 for local cable ad buys to air the terrorist and tax ads and an ad that raises questions about Obama's patriotism: "This presidential it's clear: That Barack Obama is no Ronald Reagan."

If the group goes through with its plans to spend roughly $575,000 in up to five states between now and Election Day, that would make its buys a medium-sized one among the independent political groups working to woo swing-state voters. Such a buy would be nowhere near the eight-figure efforts planned by the AFL-CIO or National Rifle Association, amounting to less than what will spend this cycle yet more than the spending plans of environmental or Christian groups supporting Obama.

Obama was the general counsel of ACORN. Obama donated $800,000 to a known front group for ACORN knowing that they have a repeated record of voter fraud. ACORN is up to their old tricks registering 1.5M people with 2100/2100 of the first forms received in Missouri being found to be blatantly fraudulent, similar results in Ohio, investigations in 11 states, 12 employees already pled guilty to voter fraud. All these are facts. What is clear is that Obama has unlimited money and is using it to buy phoney votes in the battleground states on an absolutely unprecedented scale. This will be the most fraudulent election in American history. A man who has never managed a group of more than a dozen people (other than a campaign), who has a long history of support from radicals and of close association with them (listening in the pews, having Bill Ayers entrust him with overseeing a $50M grant to be employed in the cause of politicizing the schools, being named "The Messiah" by Elija Muhammad - not a man known for sharing power with others or with strangers) will be elected President and will join Pelosi and Reid in transforming America. He is advocating exactly the same policies by which Hoover and Roosevelt managed to turn the crash of 1929 into a depression - raising taxes against the rich during a downturn, increasing regulation and unionization while business is weak, increasing trade barriers. The combination of a press completely in the tank for Obama, the awesome cash generating power of the left blogosphere, and an economic downturn rooted in tainted housing assets resulting from the Barney Frank, Chris Dodd criminal relationship with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the ACORNs of the world (forcing and intimidating banks to make loans to people they would never have made loans to prior to the changes in the law) is being met by the Republicans with an elderly candidate who does not have the stomach to confront Obama's lies. This is a disaster for America and for liberty. Churchill noted that "The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." For all the people who are ignorant enough of history, philosophy and economics to be seduced by the left, you will now have the chance to experience the results of your philosophy as people in Russia, Eastern Europe, and China have. Congratulations. Your wishes will be fulfilled. The bummer is that those of us who knew better will be dragged down as well. Time for Atlas to shrug.

Michigan? That's terrific news. The people behind these ads don't really keep up with the most current events, do they?

Hey, you extremists behind these ads---please keep throwing your scarce dollars down the rathole in Michigan. The more you do that, the less money you'll have to spend helping McCain and Palin as they struggle to hold on to even North Carolina and West Virginia.

Time for McCain and Palin to say "Bye Bye" to Virginia, Colorado, and the Big One called Florida.

"Our Country Deserves Better" is NOT a conservative PAC. They are a FASCIST PAC.
Only the very dumbest of the neo-nazis are buying these worn out lies the fascists are pedaling.

Too many lies, too out of touch, too nasty, too little, too late.

The real question is: will John McCain be able to hang on to a shred of honor, dignity and decency by loudly and publicly reputiating this group for its lies and slanders?

If McCain was as great and good as people like to claim he would put a stop to this type of support but he won't do that he will use other people and do anything to win.

Pravda in it's heyday? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha....that's funny - Oh, you're not joking? Please! Do you bother your friends and family with this kind of gibberish?

I daydreamed receiving the following email from the Republican Party:

"My friends,

We apologize for falsely insinuating that ACORN was committing voter fraud.
In reality, their canvassers could turn in a million fake registrations and yet it would not create a single illegitimate vote.
It's simple: First, each registration is cross-checked by the registrar, and second, matching identification is required at the polls. If by accident Mickey Mouse's application would not be tossed right away it would still take a miracle for the mouse to show up at the polling station, ID in hand.

We propagated this obvious nonsense because we're now certain that we'll lose this election. Rather than admit that our policies and our candidates failed to convince Americans we figured we'd instead claim that ACORN and the evil Democrats stole the election. Unfortunately, too many voters were able to put two and two together and called our bluff.

But let bygones be bygones - I hope you'll trust us again in 2012. Keep us tuned on Fox News!

John McCain and Sarah Palin

John Dillinger---violent gangster.

John Ehrlichman and John Mitchell---corrupt convicted cronies in the Nixon Watergate scandal.

John Boy Walton---stole moonshine from the Baldwin Sisters' still.

John Hinckley---would-be assassin.

John Walker Lindh---American Taliban.

John---one who frequents prostitutes.

John---a toilet.

John McCain---Republican nominee for...president?

As John McCain runs for the highest office in the land, he still refuses to come clean and explain his association with this Who's Who of criminals, curs and commodes.

Who is the real John McCain? What kind of John is he really? And why wont he tell us the truth?

Can we really trust..."John" McCain?

Shocking, isn't it? I hope Barack Obama brings this up at tonight's debate.

Your right, there is alot of us that dont think Obama is right for the Job, But we are still voting for Him because he is still better then McCAin. The GOP should of offered up a Huckabee or a Romney this year. The RNC deserves to lose badly.

See a McCain rally go bad, Booing and People leaving. A song Hank Williams sang was vulgar and offended some. Heres the clip

Who won the Best Palin Impersonator Contest? Not Tina Fey. See Clip.

I like how Comrade O'Keefe writes "The ad is one of at least eight by the group that use a series of already-debunked claims," but fails to back up his own claim.

With each passing day the Post approaches Pravda in its heyday.

McCain and the "VICTORY" shame

McCain and the Republicans bring dishonor to our troops by applying the "Victory/Defeat" label to Iraq.

Our troops have followed their orders and have served with honor and dignity in Iraq. To add this polarizing label is to add the burden of shame to the backs of troops that already have suffered enough. As a Vietnam vet, McCain should know what the vets of that era went through when they came home and were labeled losers.

General Patraeus himself said so in this interview on 9/11/08 of all days!

McCain is wrong and just doesn't get it.

It is misleading and debunked negative propaganda like this that has turned off all but the rabid core of rightwingers that would have Reverend John Hagee and his ilk set the laws and statutes for all Americans.

Americans do deserve better than an erratic candidate that changes his policies with the ebb and flow of events. A man who has selected for his VP a woman who has already been found guilty abuse of authority and ethical violations and who perceives middle class America as beer guzzling Joe-6-packs. More importantly, Americans deserve better than a candidate and surrogates that have spent their entire campaign coffers blackening television screens with graffiti instead of addressing the needs and proclivities of the people they aspire to represent.
