More Ayers on Wednesday Night?

By Anne E. Kornblut
Sen. Barack Obama is pushing back anew against the "palling around with terrorists" charge -- running two television advertisements and a radio spot in states where the Republican Party has ads noting his association with 1960s radical Bill Ayers.

The subject is expected to arise in Wednesday night's debate. Sen. John McCain, in fact, said Obama had "probably ensured" that the subject will come up -- and that he was astonished to hear Obama accuse him of being too afraid to say it to his face in their two earlier encounters.

"It's not that I give a damn about some old washed-up terrorist and his terrorist wife, that on 2001, said they'd wished they'd bombed more," McCain told a radio interviewer.

"What I care about, and what the American people care about, is whether he is being truthful with the American people, whether it be on raising taxes, or whether it be his commitment to take public financing," McCain continued, "or whether it be his association with Ayers, who he said was a guy in the neighborhood when the fact is he launched his political career in Bill Ayers' living room."

The Obama ads directly take on that charge, and others. One of Obama's TV ad shows an exterior shot of a Ramada Inn and a narrator, with a weary-sounding tisk-tisk, says Obama started his "first campaign here, not in anyone's living room."

"John McCain admits if the election is about the economy, he's going to lose," the television ad says.

The controversy over Ayers appears to have had little negative impact on Obama. In a just released NYT-CBS News poll, nearly two-thirds of respondents said they had already heard "a lot" or "some" about Obama's association with Ayers. But only 9 percent volunteered that they were bothered by that connection. A majority, 56 percent said there was nothing about Obama's background or past associations that concerned them.

The poll showed Obama up a whopping 14 point advantage over McCain overall.

The Obama ads also counter another, somewhat less frequently made charge: that Obama is taking advice from William Daley (the unsubstantiated implication being that the former Commerce Secretary is somehow part of a seamy Chicago political machine).

"And Bill Daley? He was confirmed as Commerce Secretary and praised for his great work by none other than John McCain," the ad says. "It's clear: with no plan to fix our economy, smears are all McCain has left."

The radio ad, similarly, describes McCain as promoting "desperate attacks" -- including involving Ayers. "When Ayers committed crimes in the '60s, Obama was 8 years old," the ad says. "Obama condemned those despicable acts. Ayers has had no role in Obama's campaign, and will have no role in his administration."

One clear way for Obama to dominate the debate tonight is to focus on what he sees as the priorities in his first 100 days as president.

Obama needs to re-state his Rescue Plan for the Middle-Class as well as his long term plan for the US economy. He needs to re-iterate the areas of focus under an Obama administration during the first two years, i.e. freeze all discretionary spending and earmarks not related to needed infrastructure improvements, increase taxes on those who make over $250,000, and end the war in Iraq that saves $100 billion per year.

We all know that the whole Ayres thing is just another "stunt" to divert attention from the economy, the wars, the housing crisis, etc... I had hoped in the last debate that Obama had brought up the issue, right at the start, and pointed out how many committees and boards McCain has sat on with various criminals, lawbreakers and the like. You KNOW he hasn't screened everyone on every charity or political organization he's sat with in 25+ years. No one does. All Obama's staff has to do is a little research to let the air out of McCain and watch him melt into the floor.

BRADLEY EFFECT + ?ABLE ELECTRONIC VOTING = 2000 REDUX?

Obama needs to be aggressive tonight and NOT just sit on his "lead" -- because there may be no lead at all by Election Day.

Today's Politico lead story indicates that the Rev. Wright issue will be resurrected in McCain TV advertising... alongside of Rezko, Ayers and ACORN.

If McCain goes the "guilt by association" route, Obama should bring up the Alaska Independence Party; Todd Palin's membership in a group that advocates seccession from the U.S.; its founder's anti-American statements; and ask the question:

"Is your running mate Sarah Palin palling around with someone who pals around with enemies of the state?

If Obama lays back, he could see his lead diminish as the "fear factor" takes hold -- as it always seems to do in the waning days of recent presidential campaigns.

Oh, the biased lib. media! Especially, the NY Times, CNN, MSNBC and Huff.!

Remember how the media descended on Wasilla to search every trash bin to try to uncover whatever dirt that they could on Sarah Palin once she was picked as running mate? This is the same media that refuses to countenance any suggestion to check the Big O’s links to less than savory characters. In fact, the NY Times, knowing that the McCain campaign was going to “take off the gloves” on Obama’s links to Ayers, even went to the extent of quickly doing a preemptive piece the very next morning on Ayers, pronouncing that the relationship with Obama was kosher!

The media proved just as reticent with the other Obama issues concerning Rezko, Rev. Wright, ACORN and others too numerous to mention.

Every action or statement by McCain or Palin is quickly construed in the poorest light possible and reported with glee by the MSM. But their golden boy, the Big O can do no wrong. If I was McCain, I would refuse to talk to the press too, Straight Talk Express or not!

The way the polls are going, you would think that McCain’s campaign is in its death throes. If that’s so, why are the McCain Palin rallies attracting tens of thousands?

Sadly for Obama, the public has now seen through these scams, and WE ARE ANGRY!! Wait for Nov.4th, for I’ll be dragging every pal, relative and next door neighbor to the polls! You should know who I’d be encouraging them to vote for. Definitely not the Big O, the proxy “Manchurian Candidate” for some non-Democrat and non-American entity!

I HOPE HE DOES HAVE THE GALL TO RAISE THE AYERS QUESTION....Which really isn't a question. It's an ACCUSATION.

McCain and Palin are literally accussing a seated and elected U.S. Seantor of the Treaso of domestic...That in itself should be a crime. McCain was involved with G. Gordon Liddy. He spent 4 years in Prison after Watergate. Liddy on his radio show, explained how his listners could kill U.S. ATF members with a headshot. McCain on Liddy's radio Show November 2007, called Liddy, "a fine American", and "my good friend". McCain was a board member of the U.S. Council for World freedom from 1981-1986. The USCWF were A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION, INVOLVED IN NONE OTHER THAN THE MURDERS OF SANDINISTA MEMBERS, FRIENDS TO NEO NAZI AFFILIATES, AND OH HERE'S THE KICKER, INVOLVED IN THE IRAN - CONTRA SCANDAL. Why isn't the press doing stories on McCains affiliation with them? Oh yeah the press is McCains base. McCain claims he had no idea what they were doing. McCain was alrady in the U.S. senate in 1982 and he sat on this board for 4 years, 3 of those years he was already a SENATOR. mCcAIN IS A CRIMINAL AND A LIAR. WHAT ABOUT ANTHONY BUSCARAN? Another one of McCains friends and affiliations. Dr. Buscaran was researching while McCain associated with him, WHITE SUPREMACY, no less. What about McCains affiliation with the OREGON CITIZENS ALLIANCE...AN ANTI-GAY ANTI- LESBIAN GROUP (A HATE GROUP) NO LESS and John McCain went and set in one of their meetings in 1993. Yet the press SUPPRESES THESE TRUTHS ABOUT John Sydney McShame.

If McCain looked like Obama and Obama looked like McCain in the press the shoe would be on the other foot and WE'D KNOW TO A POINT EVERYTHING I'VE MENTIONED AND EVEN MORE. WE'D HAVE KNOWN IT FOR TWO YEARS NOW.

PALIN IS MUCH WORSE THAN BUSH IN A SKIRT....More like PALIN=HITLER IN A SKIRT.

I BELIEVE THIS WICKED AND EVIL WOMAN IS TRYING TO CALL FOR IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO BE DONE TO A UNITED STATES ELECTED SEATED SENATOR.....

She is a RACEBAITER and a HATEBAITER. She is KLAN MATERIAL. MCCAIN IS NO BETTER. From his behaviour and his tactics, I've come to the conclusion (this is my personal opinion which I've formed watching him and how he smiles at these HATE RALLIES when people cry out 'OBAMA BIN LYIN', or 'TERRORIS', or the absolute lowest and worst, 'KILL HIM') McShame loves this. It's HIS DESIRE. Yet he and this VILE EVIL VENOMOUS person FAILIN' (I know her name is Palin but she is FAILING) have the AUDACITY to lie to our faces and then lie in faces of millions of INNOCENT AMERICAN VOTERS about McShames colleague, A U.S. ELECTED SEATED SENATOR and accusse him of the treason of domestic terrorism. THEY KNOW WHO'S IN THEIR LYNCH MOBS...THEY ARE PANDERING TO THE LOWEST VILEST SENTIMENTS IN THEIR LISTNER'S. These PSYCHOTIC FOOLS, are crying out, "kill him', and Sarah Palin says nothing to silence or correct their INSANITY. In fact she appears to FEED OFF OF IT. Who Sarah Palin? She guilty of ethical WRONGDOING in the state where she is governor. Who is Sarah Palin? She is a wife to a man who belonged to a SECESSIONIST group for 7 years. These people aren't patriots. I dare say they are THE LOWEST PRODUCTS OF THE STATE THEY ARE FROM. They desired to secede from the UNITED STATES an make Alaska it's own sovereign kingdom. IS THAT PATRIOTIC? IS THAT WORTHY OF THE SECOND HIGHEST SEAT IN THE LAND?

THEY ARE THE REAL TERRORIST........PRETENDING TO BE PATRIOTS as they stoke HATRED, AND MURDER in the hearts of their FOLLOWERS...McCain and Palin need to bre removed from their offices they now hold and SHUNNED. THEY ARE TRAITORS, SEEKING TO BETRAY AN ELECTED SEATED U.S. SENATOR AND HAND HIM OVER TO THEIR MURDEROUS MOBS....

Manolete - Women of America have already united of our own free will....AGAINST SARAH PALIN. Over 50% of US women view Palin in an unfavorable light now and Palin did it to herself, because we were ready to love her from the get-go, so nice try but you can't pin any blame on the media or Obama-Biden (who could have decimated her reputation nationally, but have been really restrained in the face of great provocation).
You see, many of us women disagree with you and feel that her dishonesty, irresponsible hate-mongering rhetoric, challenged ethics, vindictiveness and abuse of power, etc. has brought shame to women in politics - plus she in no way supports women's rights or has pioneered our issues. http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/260659

Thank Heavens we women are uniting, both those of my generation and those of my daughters also. If just having a woman as the VP were all that was needed to get the female vote from Conservative women, the GOP could have done so much better choosing a more worthy candidate. I either cringe when people talk about Sarah Palin or get angry, because it's assumed since I'm a woman I'll be so thrilled that I'll automatically vote with her on the ticket.

Before anyone assumes that I'm some "liberal" who can't think for myself, let me assure you I'm also a Born Again Christian, and still can't see Sarah Palin as the best person the job. Even scarrier, is the fact that this womam would be, yes a heartbeat away from running this country. The woman does not have the necessary skills to run our country, and to meet with and make the major decisions that would be required if, God forbid she made it to the White House.

Ayers? The Obama-Ayers relationship is so flimsy, the fuss McCain has made of it is pathetically transparent....Obama was 8 when Ayers was active and a fellow Professor of Ayers at the University of Illinois.

John McCain, on the other hand, is 72yrs old, running for President, and has chosen as his campaign transition chief, William Timmons, former lobbyist on behalf of SADDAM HUSSEIN (yes, the murderous dictator and supposed harborer of terrorists that GWBush started the Iraq War over!). Timmons was also a lobbyist for Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae up until July 2008, but that's tame compared to his work on behalf of Saddam Hussein.
I hope Obama asks McCain about this relationship during the debate...as well as Gordon Liddy, convicted Watergate Felon...and McCain's financial support, aged 50+, of the murderous Nicaraguan
terrorist group, the Contras.

What's really amazing is that McCain has the real ties to terrorists and crooks, but he's got you all duped into talking about Obama's non-ties to Ayers.

Hope Obama also asks McCain about his human rights crimes regarding the Arizona Navaho tribe, and the 7,000 tribe members that died because of McCain. Google it, you'll see.

There's still time you folks who have elevated McCain to over the top hero status to look up the truth about his "grey" past. The man was, and it appears still is, a spoiled brat when he doesn't get his way. His own fellow prisoners saw him for the opportunistic person he was. He couldn't go far enough up in the military to suit his overblown ego, so he aimed a bit higher, the White House. The man cracked up 5 aircraft and was still allowed to fly, in good measure I'm sure due to his father and grandfathers connections.

Have all you McPalinites done any homework on McCain's career climb to where he is now? Are you just accepting since he's on the Republican/Conservative ticket he's the best person for the job. He'll say and do whatever he needs to get what he want's, POWER, to feed his ego, and the heck with the middle-class.

McCain supporters, if you think Ayers is such a good subject keep talking about it. Obama will never refuse any help. Hopefully there will be a discussion about Ayers tomorrow night.

Tomorrow night McCain will be more relaxed and his real personality will come through. But nothing McCain can do will change that gnawing feeling people have that just like Sarah Palin, he is not right for the job.

By the time Obama met Bill Ayers, it's clear Ayers was regarded as a respectable citizen, even by conservatives.

In 1995, Bill Ayers (with two others) won the Chicago Annenberg Challenge and was awarded $49.5 million dollars by the conservative Annenberg Foundation. The Foundation was set up by Walter Hubert Annenberg - who had been appointed as the US Ambassador to the United Kingdom by President Nixon and awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Reagan. The cheque for $49.5M was presented at a ceremony in Chicago by Wallis Annenberg - daughter of Ambassador Annenberg and his wife Leonore, and the current VP of the Annenberg Foundation.

In 1997, the City of Chicago awarded Ayers its Citizen of the Year Award for his work on the Annenberg Challenge Project.

Obama served on the founding Board of Directors of the Chicago Arrenberg Challenge project, set up in 1995. The project dealt with the reform of public schooling, as required by the Annenberg Foundation.

If Obama was "palling around" with the unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, so were the directors of the Annenberg Foundation and the following other people who, like Obama, served on the same CAC board with Ayers:

Patricia Albjerg Graham, currently on the Board of Directors of Apache Corporation (the Texas oil and gas corporation) and a professor of education history at Harvard University.

Stanley O Ikenberry, former President of the University of illinois.

Arnold R Weber, former President of Northwestern University and the University of Colorado. Weber has served on the boards of many corporations including Tribune Co., Burlington Northern Santa Fe Inc., PepsiCo Inc., John Deere & Company, Aon Corp. and Inland Steel.

Ray Romero, vice-president and general counsel of Ameritech.

Susan Crown, daughter of Lester Crown, "perennial member of the Forbes 400 list".

Scott C. Smith, president, CEO and publisher of the Chicago Tribune; former chairman of the South Florida Annenberg Challenge.

Susan Blankenbaker Noyes, daughter of Republican former Indiana state senator Virginia Murphy Blankenbaker; goddaughter of Patricia Albjerg Graham.

The current president, chairman and sole director of the Annenberg Foundation is Ambassador Annenberg's widow, Leonore Annenberg. Leonore Annenberg was made Chief of Protocol of the United States by President Reagan. She is a McCain supporter.

All of the above is on the public record and accessible on the internet.

Of course, what Kornblut fails to mention is the Ayers poll results have been obtained after a) McCain hasn't really attacked on Ayers anywhere nearly as strongly as he could, and b) the MSM - including the Washington Post have covered for Obama by lying, misleading, or ignoring the Ayers matter.

The WaPo - the paper that prides itself on uncovering Watergate - is now involved in a cover-up.

For an example of that cover-up, the NYT recently whitewashed the Ayers matter, and several other sources then used the NYT's misleading report as their "authority", including the WaPo:

http://24ahead.com/blog/archives/008087.html

The results Kornblut provides are basically little more than an indicator of how well the MSM has been able to fool people.

Kornblut isn't honest enough to point that out.

I believe McCain is running out of things to say and debate about that will bring his ratings up. That is why he has resorted to leaky suspicions of Obama's ties to the terrorist Ayers.

Linking Obama to terroristic activities because he formerly associated himself - at the age of 8, mind you - is like claiming McCain has been a Vietcong since his known imprisonment with them during the war. Ayers contributions to the Obama campaign is also a failing argument as it shows no connection between the two men, and simply shows an act of courtesy, insanity, love, or whatever you want to call it - but not terroristic intentions or any link between the two at all.

As any reasonable person would see this argument as failing, McCain is simpling appealing to the 9% bone heads that actually buy into the whole argument which further persuades me from the right.

I could have been a supporter of Obama if only he could have been the kind of man who had no problem telling the truth about his past associations with people like Ayers and others. Now, Rev. wright is a different issue. It is possible that he could have for 20 years not heard the Rev. anti-American sermons or if he did, he may not have agreed with them. After all Obama joined the church not the man, hopefully. Rev. Wright said it best when he appeared at the NPC: "Sen. Obama is a politician, he tells people what they want to hear. I am a peacher of the Gospel and I tell people what they need to know according to the Word". But, as for Ayers, Rezko, his role in ACORN...come on. All Obama has to say is, "yes I know these people well. I have worked with them, did business with them, got cash from them on occasion, gave money to them when I thought it necessary and nothing follows. I have broken no laws".
But his explanations were always and continue to be political one-liners. "He lived in my neighborhood. His kids went to school with my kids". (How could Ayers kids have gone to school with Obama's kids. Ayers kids are grown ups aren't they?). On Rezko: " that was a bone-headed decision" (not a good answer). Every person who seeks a position of authority is subjected to a background check aren't they? He owes voters a clear and definitive response to the questions these questions that were even asked by Hillary during the primaries but went unanswered to date. Obama is a lawyer and lawyers by trade know how to twist truth. Therefore, I am compelled to support the candidate who has been more open and honest..and that man is John McCain!
McCAIN-PALIN WILL WIN ON NOV 4TH!!!!

If McCain wants to paint him as being guilty by association with Ayres. it will be a mistake. Obama’s simple response will be “Senator McCain, Using your logic, Bob Scheiffer and myself would be guilty of bad judgement in the Keating 5 ethics violations matter simply because we are on the same stage with you. But then again, It wasnt your associate who did that, was it? It was you. And of course, It wasn’t your associate who revealed the entire flight inventory of the Forrestal to Hanoi, or showed them the flight paths into North vietman. It was you. And it wasnt your associate who gave so much information to Hanoi that their fellow prisoners named them ‘Songbird’, was it? It was you. And it wasnt your associate who said they would place the architect of the current economic meltdown; “Phil Gramm’ as secretary of the treasury. It was you. So, if you are done with all this guilt by association McCarthyism, We do have some economic issues to solve

How much dumber can McCain get? He seems to be stuck in some time warp where what happened when Obama was 8 years old has some significance in today's world.

I'm sure that everyone in America who was alive in the 60's might have bumped into an extremist or two. There were plenty of them around back then.

There's more to talk about with 6-pak Sarah's first-dude who seems to recently be connected with a group of wackos who want to secede from the US.

I predict one peep about Ayers and Acorn and Obama will see your Ayers and Acorn and raise you one Keating Five. The Obama campaign has collected stories of people who were hurt by that and the Enron thing. Now Enron cost the Oregon employees retirement program about $35 billion and caused a declared emergency that allowed a rewriting of the program at a cost to each retiree of various amounts depending on their holdings. I'd say it cost me about $1,700 a month net but I'm doing okay. Lots of Enron employees were hurt much more. Let's turn the page on that kind of capitalism.

Yes BushMccain just took from the taxpayers and bailed out the big bankers; now if that isnt redistribution of wealth, and still helping out the top tier income level... that is socialism at it;s worst.
Obama wants to help the middle class.

MORE OF McSAME WILL NOT BRING DIFFERENT RESULTS>

Do Americans REALLY want to compare ASSOCIATIONS?
Does McCain REALLY not have skeletons in his closet?
This IS ALL THE GOP HAS.. .
They shot their wad in the last 8 years, and got nothin!
So Mccain wants to talk about the '60's?
Bring it on; he will be shown up as a fool.
Talk about the issues, and Independents will have a choice between the last 8 yrs and real change.
The knuckle draggers are havin a heyday with their favorite pastime; digging up crap and dishing it out.
Go figure.

"What a country," Ayers said in 2001. "It makes me want to puke."

No Sir, he would never wear the flag pin!

OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST!
HIS MOST RECENT SERMON CLAIMS:
“I THINK WHEN YOU SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND, IT’S GOOD FOR EVERYBODY.” What Barack means is for government taking from one group of people (the people who worked hard and earned it) and giving it to those who did not earned it (welfare cheats).

WELCOME TO BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA’S NEW AMERICA, IT’S CALLED REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH and his tax cuts for 95% of America is nothing more than Government welfare for people that don’t pay taxes at all. Haven’t we already been down this path ? This was done in the 70’s and the Democrats are bent on bringing it back.

One of Barack Obama’s most potent campaign claims is that he’ll cut taxes for no less than 95% of “working families.” He’s even promising to cut taxes enough that the government’s tax share of GDP will be no more than 18.2% — which is lower than it is today.
It’s a clever pitch, because it lets him pose as a middle-class tax cutter while disguising that he’s also proposing one of the largest tax increases ever on the other 5%. But how does he conjure this miracle, especially since more than a third of all Americans already pay no income taxes at all? There are several sleights of hand, but the most creative is to redefine the meaning of “tax cut.”
For Barack Hussein Obama, a tax cut is no longer letting you keep more of what you earn. IN HIS REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH PLAN, A TAX CUT INCLUDES TENS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS THAT ARE DISGUISED BY THE PHRASE “TAX CREDIT.”

Will hard working Americans support to cater to the ”parasite class” and bury the American worker further? Mission almost accomplished.
UNLESS YOU VOTE FOR THE PATRIOT JOHN MCCAIN, AND PRESERVE AMERICA AND OUR AMERICAN VALUES!

The question is; how many terrorist did Ayers educate as a Professor? How much time did he spend with them compared to the time he spent with Barack Obama? How many of the faculty have Ayers been palling around with compared to his palling around with Obama? this just illustrates that this is such a foolish issue that Mccain is waisting the electorates time with, and demonstartes the lack of substance in his campaign. As is said, when one can't find their backside with their own two hands, they will cause the rest to smell what isn't pleasant. Senator Mccain! please, clean it up.

I once liked McCain, but all this negativity, during a time when people are losing jobs, their homes and retirement funds, I became an Obama voter.

But I can tell you this ...

Within my circle of family and friends, if the Ayers issue is brought up one my time, the TV's go off until election day and the Obama votes sealed.

We just don't need another repeat of 2004.

The only response Senator Obama needs to make to Senator McCain: If you are truly country first, and this concerned you and you think his past association with William Ayers was a national security issue, why did you wait until you were losing to bring it up?

The Hate Talk Express Is Up and Running...AGAIN!

Hey McCain! When your campaign has chosen a running mate (Palin) whose pals back home in Alaska are racist, anti-government far right-wing extremists, it's no surprise what sort of dangerous fanatics will continue to show up at her rallies:

"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, made her first Scranton appearance today at Riverfront Sports Complex. She took the stage joined by her husband Todd and country singer Lee Greenwood. Gov. Palin spoke to a standing-room-only crowd for just over 30 minutes."

1:25 p.m.

"[Congressional candidate] Chris Hackett addressed the increasingly feisty crowd as they await the arrival of Gov. Palin."

"Each time the Republican candidate for the seat in the 10th Congressional District mentioned Barack Obama the crowd booed loudly."

"One man screamed "kill him!"

"Supporters have been noted shouting "kill him," "terrorist," "off with his head" and other equally incendiary terms about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama. Others have directly suggested Mr. Obama is a Muslim, which he is not, or a traitor. Some comments even drew rebuke from Republican presidential nominee John McCain."

And, just yesterday, at a rally in Virginia Beach, one of your supporters shouted "Obama bin Laden" (it's at 1:07 in the video):

If you (McCain) have any honor and feel that your country deserves better, John McCain, please end this crap. Now!

should mccain play the guilt-by-association card, of course, obama can respond by referring to mccain's relationship with keating and the rest of the hensley-marley-lansky arizona crime network.

For all i care,McShame can mention anything he wants during this 3rd debate. He can even link Obama to Hitler and Mussolini if he wants.
But one thing is clear,Johnny Mcshame is a drowing man that will cluth at weeds and straw thinking it will save him.
I think Johnny should do us all a lot of favour by just withdrawing from this race. It'll save us time, money and also spare us the horror of having to see Palin dropping those massages of hate that has filled her mind.

He needs to ask BHO who wrote 'Dreams from My Father' Because there is compeling evidence he didn't write his own book.

What a Poser..

This answers a lot of questions about several things. explains why Obama sealed all his college transcripts, law review writings and theses. If they were public, it would have set off alarm bells early on.

What Obama will not say before the election:

John, didn't you sign a statement that you were a terrorist and a criminal for bombing civilian targets in North Vietnam?

John, do you still believe we should have bombed more targets in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia?

John, do you believe the "surge" strategy worked in Vietnam?

When millions of Americans opposed the war in Vietnam did you ever feel guilty for bombing civilian targets?

How many people died from your participation in the Vietnam War?

Didn't you "pal around" with the North Vietnamese after the war was over?
