Obama Will Watch Biden from a Michigan Sheraton

By Perry Bacon Jr.
LANSING, Mich. -- Sen. Barack Obama planned to watch the Palin-Biden debate from a Sheraton hotel in Lansing with aides.

Obama, who held a rally at nearby Michigan State University earlier, was scheduled to watch the debate without any reporters present.

He had said little about Sen. Joe Biden's upcoming debate -- the only vice presidential one scheduled -- during the day, instead noting how excited about he was to head to Chicago on Friday night to celebrate his 16th wedding anniversary.

First, when a VP assumes the Presidency ( which has happened three times ), they do not pick a new VP. They just run the country.

Second, as far as taxes go... has anyone heard about all this spending we've been doing for 8yrs? Bush ran up a line of credit, that he couldn't pay for. Someone eventually has to pay the bills. Either we do it now - or our children do it later ( with interest ).

Third, in my opinion, Michigan's never been in play. They've been hit the hardest by this Administration's wasteful economic policies. ( They've grown to have the highest unemployment rate in the country. )

My guess is that if McCain pulls out of another state: Pennsylvania would be the next.

an Independent, now of NY, born in MI ---
supporting Obama.

If I hear the "one hearbeat away "line from Dems one more time.
Ok- here's something to think about. Palin for whatever reason becomes Pres and guess what? She will get a more qualified VP and cabinet.
Isn't this what Obama has done from the get go?

Change my arse. His personal agenda is more important than that of the american people. She is the american people, not a polished politician.

Biden looked like a dinasour up there.
Obama was up to two-packs of cigarettes last night.

Perhaps you missed the news about $66 million the RNC raised?

McCain also was blowing resources - staff and money - in the state for most of this year, thinking he had a real shot at it. Which he obviously doesn't.

Trust me, in the resources war, Obama has a serious advantage. McCain's cash is far more precious than Obama's at this point.

Why would America REWARD complete Republican failure ?

We wont.

No, Obama, Biden, AND Hillary Clinton were all in the state in the past week, when McCain's last visit was a month ago.

"McCain got Obama, Biden, AND Hillary Clinton to all waste their time and money in Michigan."

Or is it the other way around?
