Palin and Brolin to Star on SNL Saturday

By Krissah Williams Thompson
You betcha! Gov. Sarah Palin is set to appear tomorrow night on "Saturday Night Live," the popular entertainment show that has featured Tina Fey's parodies of the Alaska governor's down-home style and colloquialisms.

The McCain campaign is confirming the appearance but offering no details about skits, though Palin did hint at a Palin-Fey double team in an interview with nationally syndicated radio host Neal Boortz, saying she likes the idea of playing Tina Fey.

"I just want to be there to show Americans that we will rise above the political shots that we take," Palin said this afternoon.

The show promises to be all politics all the time. The host will be actor Josh Brolin, who plays President Bush in Oliver Stone's new movie, "W."

Would like to address Sarah Palin's shout out to the "protestors" at one of her rallies who were only shouting to hear. I'd like to respectfully remind her that many women marched and protested so that she could have the right that she enjoys to speak on the world stage....

Sarah Palin's latest offensive remark regarding which state is or is not "pro-America" is aimed directly to the voters McCain/Palin are clinging to with such desperation - the "Hawks". How sad it is that they all agree with her. How sad that they believe only people like themselves get to be considered real Americans.

Soooo looking forward to SNL!
It's rare that we have the opportunity to see someone who never had a chance at one job apply for something at which they might actually excel -- adopting a humorous new weekly indentity....oh, wait that's her job now.
Well, it will be entertaining (and more than a little sad that its come to this).

McCain and Sarah Palin are EXPERTS at telling exaggerated lies. Therefore, they are NATURAL joke tellers.

SADLY, though, these CLOWNS are running for leaders of this nation, AND even more SAD, there are some that believes that their lies are TRUE.

Example: McCained JOKED at a charity event, that his campaign staff was to be replaced by "Joe The Plummber".

BUT GUESS WHAT??

It was NO joke!!

And, guess what?

There are some who believe that what the joke is about is TRUE!

ONLY IN AMERICA is the above possible!

Please read this article and get to know the Real John McCain. This is sad! You can tell a lot about a man’s character by the way he treats his love ones…..
This is a quote, but read the article from the link below...
"Ted Sampley, who fought with US Special Forces in Vietnam and is now a leading campaigner for veterans’ rights, said: ‘I have been following John McCain’s career for nearly 20 years. I know him personally. There is something wrong with this guy and let me tell you what it is – deceit.
‘When he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it.
‘Eventually he met Cindy and she was young and beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better.
‘This is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol."

Only IN America can this happen:

The idiocy of Sarah Palin running for president.

Her Foreign Relations Experience?

1. Can see Russia from her backyard, and KNOWS all about Putin's activities.

2. Has BEEN TO IRAK by being in Kuwait.

3. KNOWS that the Iraq War IS a TASK OF GOD!

Etc., etc., etc., ...

McCain and Sarah Palin are excellent at exaggerating lies and therefore are GREAT JOKE TELLERS.

Sadly, though, we have those CLOWNS running to be leaders of this country.

We are lucky to have Obama as the best option.

Yes, THAT ONE is the BEST OPTION!

How come the baby never cries in public with all that noise -
in day or late night?

This thing about Palin is a trite bit sickening. My tv will definitely not be on Saturday Night Live either. Tacky, Tacky, Tacky.

to thrdognite:

there are many reasons why I'm against McCain/Palin beyond abortion (although i think the right to choose is important). Obama/Biden will actually do more for women that the one woman running; we will pay less taxes; we will end wars that have only brought pain to America, not honor, and finally bring our brave troops home; we will restore our good name in the world; we will have separation of church and state, better education, better healthcare...and the list goes on....

Re: "Pro-America"

I was disappointed with Senator Biden's criticism of Gov. Palin's "pro-America" comment. Senator Biden is one of the most respected Senators, especially very well-known to the world for his expertise in foreign policy; he knows what she meant.

It is high time to get back to the "Issues" that matter to Americans and the world. All Americans love America, so does the world.

LaJizz77 spewed incoherently.. "Why are you Hollywoodites so afraid of a lil ole Gun Toting, gorgeous, breath of fresh air Sarah Palin?"

No one is afraid 'of' her, they are afraid of her becoming VP, because she has such a small, undeveloped brain, much like her followers..

LaJizz77 spewed incoherently.. "I think she should invite all of you to go hunting with her on the North slope of Alaska.
Whiny Babies"

No thanks, we'll leave that one to Dick "dead eye" Cheney, he'd be a much better shot.

"You're so quick to whine about things you know nothing about. Stick to acting, it takes no skill or training"

No, what takes no skill or training is pointing a gun at something and destroying it with a bullet, any idiot can do that, and Palin the pinhead is living proof.

I can't believe Sarah Palin called certain parts of the country UnAmerican. Look at the words she used. Pro American, Real Americans, and Best of America. What kind of Right Wing nut is Sarah Palin to be running for VP and insulting the same folks she wants to vote for her. I guess its only Obama supporters or anybody who doesn't support their robo calls and low road campaign tactics. I think the media is taking this too lightly. Sarah Palin during a fund raiser said that only certain parts of the country are patriotic and real Americans and she's running to be VP and proberly president. Thats very alarming and I think she needs to explain exactly which part of America does she think is UnAmerican or less patriotic. This is starting to become a narrative. On Chris Mathews today congresswoman Michelle Bockwman said that congress should be integregated on who's American and anti-American. Now Sarah Palin is stating that only certain parts of America are Pro America. This follows 3 weeks of attacks from the Mccain/Palin campaign that questioned Obama's patriotism. The republicans and Mccain/Palin campaign should be questioned about their patriotism its the Republican party that has made the economy worst with their deregulation and their Right Wing policies for the rich. Its the Republican Party that has us in 2 wars thats costing us Billions a month. How patriotic is the Republican Pary when the leader of their Party is leaving the country with 2 wars with no resolution, 11 trillion in debt, and a economy in turmoil? Their the ones if anybody who's patriotism should be in quesion. I think if Mccain/Palin were in the White House the country would be worst with their radical Right Wing beliefs and their decisive nature. KEEP MCCAIN/PALIN OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE. WHY HASN'T THE MEDIA ASK MCCAIN ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH GORDON LIDEY? IT TOOK DAVID LETTERMAN A NIGHT SHOW COMEDIAN TO GIVE MCCAIN A REAL INTERVIEW. THE MOST EFFECTIVE INTERVIEW MCCAIN HAS HAD THROUGHOUT THIS CAMPAIGN.

Don't forget that Sarah Palin gave a keynote speech to the convention of the Alaska Independence Party this past Summer, a party who wants Alaska to succeed from the United States and whose leader has said in no uncertain terms that he hates America. Look on You Tube for the video. There are many reasons that Americans of many dispositions would not choose Palin as Vice President and very possibly President other than her stand on abortion.

I suddenly have better things to do that watch the freaky right wing anti-choice zealot and Repugnican criminal on SNL.

McPalin will appear on SNL, but not Meet the Press? Proves my point. She's a lightweight, a coward, and an unrepentant, unqualified attack dog for an old man on the edge of Alzheimer's.

Too bad Mr. Michaels chose to give any kind of validation to her so-called candidacy.

Palin's hated by the left for only ONE reason...she's Pro-Life.

No other reason. Pure hatred for her because of that ONE reason.

Even for a left leaning paper, I’m shocked at the amazing amount of venom directed towards Palin; a woman who has won as a mayor and a governor, and stepped up huge as a new comer to the presidential politics stage. Reading this thread of messages, it appears that there is nothing but hate a discontent for this very successful woman.

If I did not know better I would say people feel just feel threatened. I understand that Obama has a very limited experience to draw upon, yet it is surprisingly similar to Governor Palin’s record. Is it that simple? Liberals understand that the lack of experience that Obama has is a serous weakness so they are over compensating for Palin’s experience.

I understand being threatened, what I don’t understand it the lack of objectivity. Yes we are in a heated political discourse, but why would a truly objective person turn a blind eye toward one person’s lack of experience and only focus on someone else’s equal lack of experience.

Frankly I think they are both Obama and Palin are unqualified to be president today. The big difference is that Palin is not running for President, she will have the necessary time to learn and has shown the ability to do so. Obama, with really less experience, considering that he has run for president the bulk of his senate career has much less to lean on.

Shall we redistribute wealth, a la Marx, or will we continue to be a capitalist society. Unfortunately it looks like the choice is in the left’s camp.

Some people said Sarah Palin has only one BA degree in journalism and they compared with the Obamas, who went to Columbia, Standford and Harvard.

Never judge a person based on the degrees they have but judge on thier characters. She has BA doesn't mean her leadership skill is less than Obama.
Don't forget George W Bush also went to Harvard and how did he turn out? Bill Clinton went to Yale and became the only president who had sex with an intern in the White House. So...do the Degrees that they got from Ivy Leagues matter?

Go Sarah...show this country how real and authentic you are. Show them that you're totally Washinton out-sider who is goin to shake up bad Washinton people. Washinton people (majority democrats in Congress) are afraid of you and that's why they are trying as hard as they can for you to go to Washington.
I know you're such a strong person. You won't reach this high as a governor. People who dislike you and who call you airhead and dumb are actually very jealous of your success. Don't buy those negative comments.
When Queeen Elizabeth (I) and Queeen Victoria became leaders of their country, they were young and very inexerpienced. Turned out they became most powerful monarch and had built their country very strong to this day.
You live your life with what you belive and I have faith in you,

I think she's shown us pretty much everything she's got - with Couric, with Gibson, in the VP debate. There's a reason they've kept her on a short leash (no pun intended, seriously). If McCain loses, and it looks as though he will, the Palin selection will probably go down as the decision that cost him the election.

Unfortunately, for America, the Plain appearance on SNL is the high water mark for her carefuly scripted exposure.

Taken in context of a race for the highest office in the United States of America, I would have a lot more respect for this slapstick sidetrack if she appeared expanded her conversation with voters beyond preaching to the choir on Fox News.

It would much more entertaining to watch Palin on Sunday at 10AM for Meet The Press
