The Obama school search is heating up: Malia, Sasha and their mom, Michelle, spent two hours Monday morning touring Georgetown Day School, and are expected to visit the Sidwell Friends campus Tuesday.
The family look-sees follow Michelle Obama's trips to the schools last week, which sparked intense debate about D.C.'s public and private education. Looks more and more like the first daughters will attend a private school; no word if the family will drop by Maret -- reportedly still in the running -- later in the week.

I think that the children should be home taught. There are a lot of threats out there. Unless of course there are going to be real security beef up at the school they are going to be attending.

Private school of course. These kids especially are going to be targeted more so than any other Presidential children in history. We must keep them safe!

Of course they'll attend a private school. Can you imagine the security nightmare a large public school would present?

They should go to St. Andrew's. The kids are nicer.

They'll go to a private school of course. The only people who send their kids to DC public schools are the ones who can't afford the cost of private schooling.
