Asked About New House, Bush Plays Coy

By Dan Eggen
President Bush just bought a house in Dallas, but apparently he doesn't want to talk about it.

During a ceremony today in which Bush signed proclamations honoring service in World War II, a pool reporter assigned to cover the event, Todd Gillman of the Dallas Morning News, attempted to get a reaction from the departing president about his new digs.

"Mr. President -- you excited about your house in Dallas?" Gillman asked.

"Todd, why do you care?" Bush responded. "You live in Washington, D.C."

The White House disclosed Thursday that the president and first lady had bought a house in the Preston Hollow neighborhood in north Dallas, though it declined to release an address or other details because the couple hasn't moved in yet. Nonetheless, Dallas media outlets had already identified the likely site: an 8,500-square-foot house built in 1959 on a leafy cul-de-sac that was purchased in October by Bush's longtime accountant as a trustee. Records indicate that the trustee took out a $3 million note to pay for the house, which county records value at a much more affordable $2.1 million.

The Bushes will still hold on to their Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Tex., but will live primarily in Dallas, where Bush will have his presidential library and museum. The couple lived in the same neighborhood before Bush became Texas governor in 1995.

He needs to move to a desert in Iraq and live like all the natives in the heat with no water and electricity and using his fingers to wipe off his pale butt after doing a number 2. I'm sure Laura would get off on that...since she must be a total masohist still being with him. I mean if he is such a patriot he should set an example and move there........And best of all he bought the house with YOUR gas money you FOOLS !!!! Yes, YOUR money, and now you can all eat crow and shop at Smart and Final to save money while Laura struts her stuff at the most expensive SuperMarket buying lobster for the twins and bananas and pretzels for the papa chimp. Wo Hoooo!!!

Just a thought but it will never happen:

I would like to see George Walker Bush and Dick Cheney get one way tickets to Baghdad, Iraq. Upon landing in Baghdad take both of them down town Baghdad and let them off unescorted and let the Iraqi people know who they are. No longer a problem from either George Walker Bush or Dick Cheney as they wouldn't last two minutes at the hands of the Iraqi people.

I hope the president enjoys his new digs in Dallas... and stays there.

I was really hoping that Bush would move a little further south to the beach. There is a really nice cell just waiting for him at Guantanamo and he could bring along his buddies Cheney, Rummy, Wolfowitz, Fife, Ashcroft, Gonzalez, Rove and the whole gang. The waterboarding down there is supposed to be really great. They could be blindfolded and play pin the tail on Rove. Get naked like in the old Skull and Bones days and make human pyramids while the dogs nip at them. This would be a much more appropriate post-Presidential residence for this crew.

Pray that BO is willing to use his political capital and risk his political standing to protect the US from Muslem attack for seven years as did President Bush.

You may add to the prayer that BO also match the historical efforts by the President's administration to treat and prevent HIV AIDS in Africa.

Wise up, it's never all bad or all good.

Allowing the dutiful son to shed the TV cowboy image and trappings thrust upon him during his "family" arranged political reign... he will now occupy a southern political power-center where a once powerful foe was summarily executed.
All the signs of a great syndicate are on public display, and yet no brave prosecutors are to be found...

The Bushies get a 3.1 million dollar home after screwing up the entire worlds' economy and literally destroying the middle class, he and bimbo gets to ride off into the sunset on the same donkey that brought his ridiculous, sorry excuse for a President and a prime example of what we don't want another rethug in the white house, ignorant behind into sunset while the rest of America literally starves to death! You gotta really love this cat! Begone!
