All Clintons, All the Time

By Ben Pershing
Just two shopping days left until Christmas, and it looks like Chelsea Clinton might be getting some pretty weak gifts this year. Why? Because Hillary and Bill Clinton are officially $13 million poorer this morning.

While President-elect Brad Pitt -- sorry, Barack Obama -- fruitlessly tries to duck the paparazzi in Hawaii, those of us who remain in chilly D.C. are being treated to a steady diet of Clinton-related news. That includes the nugget, revealed yesterday in FEC reports, that Hillary Clinton has forgiven $13 million in loans to her own campaign. It would be an inspiring holiday tale of forgiveness, except it's not the kind that helps anyone other than herself. But if you were wondering how much Clinton was willing to sacrifice for the secretary of state job, now you know.

(First Texas gets shut out of the BCS National Championship Game, now this. How much more can those poor students take?) well here we go... again, interesting that the neocon alliance that brought us Iraq came straight out of AIPAC. And so it goes again. Maybe we do need a viable third party because AIPAC control's both the major political parties to the extent that my guarentee is that in eight years we will have eight years more of settlement building in the West Bank.

Think this might be a harbinger of things to come for the president-elect? Nothing more the Clintons like than being the center of media and public attention...
