Meeting of Ex-Presidents' Club in the Works

Updated 5:39 p.m.
By Anne E. Kornblut and Dan Eggen
President Bush and President-elect Barack Obama will meet again before Inauguration Day -- and with the other living presidents in tow, according to the White House and Democratic aides. The purpose of the meeting will be to "give advice and share stories" before Obama is sworn in on Jan. 20, a Democratic aide said.

Bush and Obama met on Nov. 10, just days after the election, and discussed holding a future meeting then. Now Bush plans to host a luncheon for Obama and the three former presidents -- Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter -- on January 7, White House press secretary Dana Perino said.

Obama has been conducting a steady stream of private meetings in Chicago in recent days, in addition to his public Cabinet selections and press conferences. On Tuesday, he convened his economic advisers to discuss the handling of a stimulus package; earlier in the week, he saw his national security team. Obama leaves for Hawaii later this week.

Hey, AJAX2,

I think you need to get a grip. Conspiracy theories are a dime a dozen. Numerous independent groups/organizations/media have checked out this frivolous claim ad infinitum and have found NO BASIS for this BS claim that Pres-elect Obama is not a natural born US citizen. While the rest of us move forward, in an effort to make this country's economy and military strong again, you and the other right-wing nuts should just go off and play (READ: STAY) in your sandbox and let all of us adult-minded types run the country for a while.

Yours Truly,

Sgt Jackson

Proud former Marine who wants our military rebuilt, repaired, and made truly ready for future 21st century conflicts.

Deputy Prosecutor in the State of Washington, doing my part to do something productive, namely taking gang members, guns, and drugs off the streets. What have you done other than complain, rant, rave, and spout lunatic theories?

Have fun in the sandbox with Rush, Sean, and Ann; keep hating, and you'll keep losing.

Join Exploding Demand For Citizenship Documentation

Obama has not and refuses to prove to America that he is eligible as a “natural born citizen,” as required by Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution to be President of the United States. Instead Obama has had three law firms (firms, not lawyers) on retainer since the day he was elected to public office and throughout his presidential campaign to make sure that the public does not get access to his birth records in Hawaii or his college transcripts from Occidental College and Harvard.

The question of Obamas' eligibility MUST be pursued because if Obama turns out to be nothing but an usurper acting in the guise of “the President,” Obama will not constitutionally be the “Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States”(see Article II, Section 2, Clause 1). Therefore, he will be entitled to no obedience whatsoever from anyone in those forces. Indeed, for officers or men to follow any of his purported “orders” will constitute a serious breach of military discipline—and in extreme circumstances perhaps even “war crimes.” In addition, no one in any civilian agency in the Executive Branch of the General Government will be required to put into effect any of Obama’s purported “proclamations,”“executive orders,” or “directives.”

Pastor Rick Warren is fully committed to dealing with AIDS and other homosexual problems -- he simply doesn't want special rights for them -- do you also think an adult brother should be allowed to marry his adult sister?

Is it possible for the ex-Presidents' club to put one of their "recent" graduates on immediate probation?
