President-elect Barack Obama's press secretary Robert Gibbs issued a statement on the lunch meeting between Obama and four presidents, which The Post's Dan Eggen covers here.

"They had a very constructive conversation," Gibbs said. "The President-elect was grateful for their counsel and the spirit of bipartisanship they showed in wishing his Administration success in meeting the challenges we all share as Americans. The President and the former Presidents had helpful advice on managing the office as well as thoughts on the critical issues facing the country right now. The President-elect is anxious to stay in touch with all of them in the coming years."

I'll repeat my observation from Dan's article: I voted for Clinton both times, but I laughed when I overhead him on the video saying to GWB "You know, I love this carpet."

Barack HUSSEIN Obama, Jr. (assuming that Sr. is even his real father) will not be sworn in on January 20, 2009.

LOL! :-D

I can see it now:

Jimmy Carter: "Concede"

Bush Senior: "Confuse"

Slick Willie: "We'll Apologize some more"

Dubya: "Mispronounce"

Barry: "Good Grief"! ;~)
