Obama Meets Some Liberals, Too

By Anne E. Kornblut
President-elect Barack Obama, fresh off his dinner with conservative journalists on Tuesday night, met with a group of more liberal-leaning ones at his transition office on Wednesday, aides confirmed.

Among the guests today were E.J. Dionne and Gene Robinson of The Washington Post, as well as Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, Ron Brownstein of the National Journal and Gerry Seib of the Wall Street Journal. The meeting was off-the-record, aides said, and planned well in advance of (and not in reaction to) the dinner Obama had at George Will's house the night before.

I honestly hope Obama will lead this country to economic recovery, victory over terrorism, a healing of the rifts between militant liberalism and the average Americans...

Alas, I suspect Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Moveon.org, Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, NARAL, PETA, NAMBLA, the DNC, Oprah Winfrey, George Soros, the Hollywood Elite, and such will not allow what is best for our country to move forward.

Greed and Power for Liberal Socialists will trump the hope of our nation.

It will take the REAL Messiah to fix this decay that has infected the U.S. of A.

Gerry Sieb liberal? Love it that Maureen and Robinson were there. Their comments, musings, contributed much to the interest I finally had in Obama as our next president.

Surely, if the president elect can meet with the right..so he should with the left. My question when will he meet with journalists who are part of a' silent majority?" Didnt think we exist, eh?

All I know we vote!!

His first question for E.J. Dionne was, "How do you put up with that simpering, whiny Brooks? Don't you just want to smack him??

They'll report that none got nicknames, issues were discussed in depth and that they didn't walk out saying that they'd like to have a beer with the guy.
