President Obama and Vice President Biden start their morning with the daily presidential briefing at 9:15 a.m.
At 9:45 a.m., they are expected to meet with congressional leaders (including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader John Boehner and the House and Senate whips) to discuss economic recovery proposals.
Next on the agenda is a meeting with members of the National Security Council, slated to start around 11:30 a.m.
At 12:30 p.m. Obama heads to an economic briefing -- a new daily meeting that the president specifically requested, according to his press secretary Robert Gibbs. National Economic Council Director Larry Summers is expected to lead the session.
At 1 p.m., Obama will lunch with Vice President Biden.
He holds a meeting at 2 p.m. to discuss the state of the budget, just ahead of taping his weekly radio/YouTube address around 3 p.m. At 3:30 p.m., Obama meets with with Timothy Geithner, his appointee for treasury secretary.
