President Obama begins his day with his routine presidential briefing at 9:30 a.m., followed by a meeting with his senior advisers at 10:00 a.m.
Obama meets with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at 10:45 a.m. Half an hour later, he's off to the Capitol, in order to deliver remarks from the Capitol Rotunda at 11:45 a.m. at a Lincoln Bicentennial celebration.
In the afternoon, Obama leaves Washington for Peoria, Ill. He's expected to arrive at 2:45 p.m. At 3:45 p.m., he visits Caterpillar Factory in East Peoria and meets with workers, as part of his campaign to pitch his economic recovery plan.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., Obama arrives in Springfield, Ill., where he will deliver remarks at an annual banquet held by the Abraham Lincoln Association. Obama is expected back in Washington by 11:30 p.m.
