POTUS Events: The Big Speech
President Obama attended his daily presidential briefing at 9:00 a.m., followed by an economic briefing at 9:30 a.m. and a meeting with his senior advisers at 9:50 a.m.
At 10:30 a.m., Obama meets with the Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso to discuss the state of relations between Japan and the U.S. in the days leading up to the London Economic Summit this spring.
Around 4:30 p.m., Obama and Vice President Biden sit down with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
At 9 p.m., Obama delivers an address before a joint session of Congress. In his address, he's expected to outline his agenda for expanding health care and alternative energy programs, while explaining the effects of such changes on the economy.
