Let's hope this is the "Death of the Republic of the United States" and the birth of the DEMOCRACY of the United States. It is time.

First of all, Obama is not even President if he's not a "natural born" citizen. Second, did Hope resign because of tax evasion?

Commentators on 2-24-08:

The government is not spending money they are enslaving our children, grand children, and future generations by spending, spending, spending. If this was the american consumer, the credit would have been cut off long ago. WHO HAS GIVEN THE GOVERNMENT THE RIGHT TO ENSLAVE US TO THE TUNE OF OVER $30,000 PER PERSON? (National debt divided by the American Population)

ONLY 50% OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC ARE PAYING TAXES, WHAT IF THEY ALL QUIT OR WERE LAID OFF? THE GOVERNMENT MUST TAX ALL PEOPLE EQUALLY!! CHECK OUT THE FAIR TAX!!! Everyone pays taxes, everyone gets back taxes paid on a reasonable living level. This means all people from illegals, drug dealers, republican, democrat, CEO, and dish washer pay taxes and get some back. Those who spend more pay more taxes but they don't get back based on spending, they get back based on a reasonable living level.

Speech of 2/24/2009:
No earmarks--no pork, report the facts don't just support the president. It is not the Post's job to portray Obama as the saviour of our economy, but to relay the truth, unbiased, unedited and let the people decide.

Give a person a fish and you'll see him tomorrow, teach a person to fish and you'll see them next to you tomorrow as you fish.

Giving handouts does not help those who have there hands out, it only teaches them to keep their hands out.

The government does not create jobs, Obama said this. Why does the stimulus package go to government pork and earmarks? To make the public dependent on the Government. The government should be dependent on its people for its power, the people should not be dependent on the government for power.

Wake up people, educate yourself--we are going down a road from which we will never recover. It is time for a Tea Party. Take responsibility for your own actions, your own hard work, and stop blaming others.

Affirmative action is now holding this country back, it is time to repeal this act and make a commitment to hire the best possible and not those who have a disability, friend, different color of their skin. We are all Americans, it is time to stop the racial bikering. If a cartoon of Obama is made, find the humor, not racial bias. If a cartoon of Bush was done the same way you would laugh--does this make you racist? Look first within, and if you don't live in a glass house then through the stone you hold.

I am sick of people thinking the American Dream should be handed to them on a silver platter. EARN IT!!

After reviewing the 'facts check' by reporter Ahrens, up till this moment, it occurred to me that B.O.'s 'half-truths', like the (economic) crisis Rahm Emmanuel said 'should not be wasted', can be re-claimed. I mean, if you add enough of them together, they should add up to several whole truths, don't you think? In a way, I can't blame Obama; he just continues to do the things at which he excels--talking and spending. I'm not sure we should expect much else.

During the speech on February 24, 2008:
Palosi looked more like a cheerleader than a politician, she kept applauding, but did not appear to be really listening. The socialism presented this evening is going to be the death of the Republic of the United States.

Thomas Jefferson pretty well covered much about our situation today in two quotes made by him over 200 years ago. Our founders fathers feared what we are living today:

1. "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."

2. "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."*

I don"t think the presidenr's clueless. I think he knows EXACTLY what he is doing. HE was tutored by communists and making a career of destroying the productive for benefit to the leeches. No, he knows what he is doing, alright. STIMULUS deprives YOUR children/adult/vets of meds and leaves you to SILENCE the SCREAMS without meds rather than pass HR 219 AND 236 to protect SOC SEC for military and non-military and vets lockbox law and cola to protect medicare WITHOUT RAISING taxes, and WITHOUT cutting services.ggogle HR 219, HR 236 and

10 min after the press said DEMS SAID FAIRNESS DOCTRINE IS OUT... We FOUND OUT Obama NEVER CLOSED IT PER SE, Obama LEFT it WIDE OPEN for the WASH DC SLUG PARTY to REVIVE IT under another Name.

This time they want to the FCC TO REVIVE SHARIA LAW in order to squelch FREE SPEECH by having the FCC bamboozle the public to claim that ADVISORS AND BOARDS ARE NEEDED BY CLAIMING THAT THEY ARE NEEDED TO PREVENT DISCRIMINATORY WORDING. Because they think AMERICANS are too stipid to realize that SHARIA LAW says it's punishible by death to anyone whom claims that murders, rapes terrorist acitvities of SHARIA LAW /mislim/islam are "bad". go see michelle malkin or act for

Sorry, Mr. President, but America did not "invent the automobile." German and French engineers did that several decades before Henry Ford adapted the assembly line to make mass production possible. But Ford did not invent the automobile itself.

from OBAMA's speech: "Americans who will now be able to take advantage of the lower interest rates that this plan has already helped bring about."

I'm confused as to how Obama's plan that we still don't know the details about has "already" lowered interest rates.

Rates were at historic lows BEFORE he even took office. Nice try though. But perhaps I don't get his drift.

Obama's progressive base has been sorely disappointed by his administration's positions on legal rights of detainees; the continuation of Bush policy on the State Secrets Act; opposition to D.C. gun control; and the apparent Justice Department acceptance of a Bush decision to deploy silent, dangerous, injury- and illness-inducing radiation weaponry to law enforcement agencies nationwide.

We'll be watching to see if he acknowledges the frustrations of his base on civil and human rights issues, or if he responds to his base's chagrin with silence.

Also, the Afghanistan adventure that threatens to become an Obama quagmire is expected to get only a brief mention. Now comes word that he has bought into the Gates plan to extend the deployment of troops in Iraq by three months.

Shouldn't Obama quickly append his remarks to address the apparent leak on Iraq -- a leak that may have been designed to force his hand and accept the Pentagon's terms?

Will you please address this in your commentary? Thank you.
