Obama Establishes Afghanistan-Pakistan Policy Task Force

By Michael D. Shear
President Obama has created an inter-agency task force to review U.S. policy in Afghanistan and Pakistan and tasked it to report back to him by the NATO summit in April, a senior aide told reporters today.

Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer and Brookings fellow, will co-chair the review along with Richard Holbrooke and Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Michele Flournoy, according to press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Riedel, who will be on leave from Brookings for 60 days to work at the White House, will report to National Security Adviser Jim Jones, Gibbs said.

Also today, Obama formally accepted an invitation to address a joint session of Congress two weeks from today, Gibbs said as the president traveled on Air Force One to Florida this morning.

Gibbs said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid delivered the request personally at the White House this morning, formally extending the invitation.

LEAVE AT ONCE----THEIR END GAME IS KEEPING US THERE----BRINGS IN LOTS OF BIG BUCKS

The only reason we are there is for the benefit of oil and gas folks. That land is needed to run natural gas pipelines to China. And the powers that be at this time would sacrifice us or them or your next of kin to get their way.

The BUSH BUNCH knew all along that they were to start that war for that cause. I have read where the USA is building 15 to 20 permanent military installations in that corridor right now. WHY to protect the pipelines.

So President OBAMA can send Joe Bidden, Joe the Plumber you or me or our next of kin over there and when returning all will say boy those folks have it bad. Well so what they have for thousands of years. The gun has been their way of life and is not about to change.

NOW if BLACK WATER is really needed to work for us give them a pay only commission for taking ears from the ones killed by them deemed to die by our political and military folks.

Bring all our men and stuff from there back home and cancel the building of any more assets. BYE BYE Halliburton and your fat paychecks.

Fundamentalists, suicide bombs, madrasas, nuclear proliferation, terror attacks on India, masterminding of the London bombings - If Pakistan can't sort itself out, the global community should. Perhaps by dividing it into "Good Pakistan" and "Bad Pakistan" - the former being the country's moderate and modern parts, and the latter comprising FATA and other instable, ungovernable areas. These bad or toxic assets can then be nursed back to civility by an international coalition.

BUT WILL THESE ADVISERS KEEP OBAMA FROM SINKING INTO A VIETNAM-LIKE QUAGMIRE?

The "change" candidate is looking very conventional in his choice of defense advisers.

Where is the countervailing view? Is this the Kennedy-Johnson Syndrome?

Will Obama stop the security hawks from deploying silent, injury- and illness-inducing radiation weaponry to law enforcement agencies nationwide?

These are "weapons of mass destruction" and have no place among civilian populations. And there is strong evidence that these radiation "directed energy" weapons are being used to TORTURE AMERICAN CITIZENS:

RE: BUSH JUSTICE DEPARTMENT APPROVAL OF RADIATION WEAPONS USE ON U.S. CITIZENS...

...BY THE ONGOING 'EXTRAJUDICIAL PUNISHMENT NETWORK'...

... coordinated multi-agency "action programs of personal destruction" manned by security/intel agents, local police nationwide, and citizen vigilantes fronted by government-funded community policing and anti-terrorism programs.

TREASURY SECRETARY GEITHNER:

WHAT IS THE U.S. TREASURY DEPARTMENT ROLE in these programs -- and has the IRS been used to decimate family finances of wrongly "targeted" American citizens? Are you investigating?

What Sen. Leahy knows, Team Obama must IMMEDIATELY confront -- because the victims continue to suffer.

IT IS DAY 22 OF THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION.

DO YOU *REALLY* KNOW WHAT YOUR "MULTI-AGENCY ACTION CENTER" IS UP TO?
