President Obama starts his day with a presidential briefing at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. meeting with senior advisers.
At 11 a.m., the president visits a road construction site in Springfield, Va. with Gov. Tim Kaine to discuss infrastructure projects and job creation.
In the afternoon, Obama meets with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. Their meeting is expected to take place at 3:00 p.m.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs delivers the press briefing at 2:00 p.m.

Given the economic Armageddon, can we afford all this travel? Shouldn't Obama concentrate his efforts at the White House?
