President Obama starts his day with his presidential briefing at 9:30 a.m., followed by a meeting with senior advisers at 10:00 a.m.
At 10:30 a.m. he speaks to the Business Council about the economic stimulus package from the East Room.
In the afternoon, the president and the first family travel to Chicago for the long weekend. They are expected to arrive in the Windy City around 6 p.m.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs will deliver the press briefing at 1:00 p.m.
