POTUS Events: The Mayors Come to Town

Updated, 11:15 a.m.
President Obama begins his day at 9:15 a.m. with two daily briefings in the Oval Office. At 10:30 a.m. ET Obama and Vice President Biden will make a speech to mayors from across the country who have traveled to Washington.

At 1:30 p.m. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will hold the daily press briefing. Fifteen minutes later Obama and Biden have lunch together in the Oval Office.

First lady Michelle Obama continues her tour of the department and agencies by visiting the Department of Transportation at 1:25 p.m. ET.
