Obama Administration to Rescind Bush's 'Conscience' Regulation

By Rob Stein
The Obama administration has begun the process of rescinding sweeping new federal protections that were granted in December to health care workers who refuse to provide care that violates their personal, moral or religious beliefs.

The Office of Management and Budget announced this morning that it was reviewing a proposal to lift the controversial "conscience" regulation, the first step toward reversing the policy. Once the OMB has reviewed the proposal it will published in Federal Register for a 30-day public comment period.

IN GOOD CONSCIENCE, OTHER BUSH POLICIES, SUCH AS DOMESTIC TORTURE VIA MICROWAVE WEAPONS, MUST BE REVERSED...

Perhaps for the first time, I find myself in complete agreement with JakeD.

It will take brave decisions of conscience to reverse the evils visited upon the nation and the world by eight years of Bush-Cheney rule.

The Bush Justice Department, it is being revealed, approved the covert use of silent microwave radiation weaponry, so-called "directed energy weapons," on innocent but "targeted" U.S. citizens deemed to be "undesirables."

Would the lifting of this provision require health care workers to obey orders carrying out officially-sanctioned crimes against humanity -- such as the irradiation of innocent citizens?

And when will Team Obama move to take down the "extrajudicial punishment network" of vigilante justice and "programs of personal financial destruction"?

The victims cannot wait.
