POTUS Events: From Istanbul to Washington

President Obama began the final day of his European tour in Istanbul at 9:50 a.m. EEST (2:50 a.m. ET), meeting with religious leaders. He also toured religious sites with Prime Minister Recep Tayyi Erdogan. At 11:10 a.m. EEST (4:10 a.m. ET), they visited the Hagia Sophia -- the largest religious monument until 1520 -- and at 11:40 a.m. EEST (4:40 p.m. ET) they toured the Blue Mosque, the national mosque of Turkey.
At 12:20 p.m. (5:20 a.m. ET), Obama held a town hall meeting for international university students. Two hours later, he left Istanbul to return to the States, by way of Iraq. He is expected to return to the White House by 5:50 p.m. ET.
Michelle Obama returned early to the White House yesterday.
