White House: Obama 'Never in Any Danger' from Swine Flu

By Michael D. Shear
In the midst of dealing with a potential emerging swine flu pandemic, the White House struggled repeatedly Monday to convince the world -- and more importantly, the press corps -- that the president was healthy.

Speculation had exploded online and off after foreign newspapers reported that the president's tour guide at a Mexico City museum on April 16 had died from flu-like symptoms the next day. (He did not die of the swine flu, it later turned out, or on April 17.)

In his daily briefing to reporters, press secretary Robert Gibbs became exasperated after saying over and over again that Obama was not infected, not even sick.

"I just, again -- boy, I'm glad I'm not a public health spokesman," Gibbs said. "Let me just do this one more time. The doctors have informed me, based on my personal curiosity, knowing of yours, that the president's health was never in any danger; that he has not exhibited any symptoms; neither has anybody traveling with him; neither has any of the press that traveled with him, that I'm aware of, exhibited any symptoms that would cause some reason for concern."

That came after saying moments before that "I'm going to try not to take it personally that giving an answer on the seventh time has yet to break through. So let me try an eighth."

Hours later, the White House felt compelled to distribute a statement from the Mexican Embassy backing up its story.

"Mr. Felipe Solís, Director of Mexico's National Anthropology Museum died on April 23rd, a week after he welcomed Presidents Obama and Calderón at the Museum. He died of complications of a preexisting condition and not of swine flu," it said.

And later came an official White House fact sheet stating it again, in Q & A form: "Was Felipe Solis the President's tour guide in Mexico city, and did he die of swine flu?

"No. The Mexican embassy has issued a statement clarifying that Mr. Solis's death was not caused by swine flu."

At the briefing, Gibbs also continued to deflect another, related question, from reporters: whether the U.S. government believed its Mexican counterparts had been forthcoming about the emergence of the flu before Obama arrived on his visit.

In the fact sheet, the White House played down any concerns.

"We have no reason to believe they withheld any information they had at the time. White House Medical Unit staff on the ground asked Mexican health officials and U.S. embassy medical staff about any concerns regarding infectious disease, and were informed that there were none," it said.

Quite a collection of wing-nuts 44 has gathered up in its comments section. I wonder what the attraction is to them? Maybe its the only place they can speak freely without risking an involuntary commitment order?

PRESIDENT OBAMA -- PLEASE DISCUSS TODAY WITH FBI DIRECTOR MUELLER:

EXTRAJUDICIAL PUNISHMENT NETWORK.

Google it.

Any American -- YOU, or someone close to you -- could be its next victim.

Unless Team Obama -- especially AG Holder, SecDef Gates, SecDHS Napolitano, SecTreas Geithner -- take down the draconian Bush-Cheney "Extrajudicial Punishment Network"...

...an array of secret, extra-legal "programs of personal financial destruction" and government-funded vigilante, terroristic "community stalking"...

...coupled with the proliferation of mind- and body-degrading "directed energy" microwave radiation weapons -- the Zyklon B of a grassroots, government-enabled American Gestapo that continues to "target" untold thousands, if not millions, of U.S. citizens...

...citizens who have not been charged with any crime, but who have been condemned by a covert American Gestapo to a life of "community gang-stalking" and physical degradation...

...tracked with covert GPS devices over a network known to EVERY police force in the nation -- and to federal security, military and intelligence operatives.

Attorney General Holder, you must act NOW to restore human and civil rights in America.

Before the naivete of liberals empowers the saboteurs and Dr. Strangeloves who say "No!" to change.

Obama probably wishes he caught the flu instead of hiring an idiot like Louis Caldera, director of the White House Military Office.
With people like that working for him, the least of Obama's worries are terrorists.
Caldera should resign, pronto.

THAT BIZARRE, SADISTIC AIR FORCE ONE 9/11-ESQUE FLYOVER:

STUPIDITY -- OR A DEVIOUSLY CLEVER COVER STORY FOR A FOILED PLOT?

Think about it: "Terrorists" hijack the backup Air Force One. It's flown into a lower Manhattan office tower. Thousands perish. When it is revealed that Al Queda has struck again, the global war on terror resumes with a vengeance -- with the President who hoped to bring world peace unwittingly cast as the new "W."

But what if word of the "plot" leaked out?

Well... revert to the cover story. Go through with the fly-over (after giving local law enforcement a secret heads-up). When terrorized New Yorkers cry foul, claim it was just an ill-advised photo shoot. Make the "fall guy" a former secretary of the Army, the first Hispanic to serve in that capacity. Get him to "admit" culpability, and hope no one questions the irrationality of the explanation.

Of course, we all know that this is America, and something so Machiavellian, so malevolent, could never happen here. Never.

And I'm sure there are conservatives disappointed at the fact that Obama won;'t meet his demise at the hands of swine flu...

FIRST ONE HUNDRED DAYS = 100 MISTAKES.

the latest?

"Obama Administration is trying to scuttle a lawsuit filed in federal court against Iran by former US embassy hostages. The lawsuit alleges that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was one of the hostage-takers who interrogated the captives. "

JRM2-Sorry if my 'Tude bothers you.

However, I am a Marginally Employed American that O'Bomba seems to feel ZERO desire to help!

I am White, Non-Union, Red State Dwelling, Welfare Despising, and Responsible for MY actions!

Five MONTHS have passed since the Dude won the Election and began taking steps for all his "Changes".

It seems everyone BUT people such as MYSELF have gotten benefited!

However, one quick look around at the economy, and even the simplest of People would realize that the People he has been helping, are all the ones who are NOT going to be involved in getting this Country and the World back into Economic Recovery!

As the WORKING Middle Class Middle continue to be ABANDONED, so does Hope for any Recovery!

The Despair I feel could be immediately Removed with the sudden DEPARTURE of an Incompetent Congressional Lawyer pretending to be an Executive!

I am suffering enough to wish bad things on some People-especially People who SHOULD be trying to help People like me, but wrong-headedly go out and worry about their own Agendas!

IF, someone is not part of the Solution;

Then, they ARE part of the Problem!

The Nation is standing in peril, and we are supposed to worry about Obama?

NPD cannot care about you, but demands you care about him.

This is what we all feared by having a nincapoop group in control.

No help is coming, buy face barriers and wash your hands to above your elbows.( You might have passed through a recent sneeze).

Change your clothes three times a day, and launder them immediately. The new fashion color is white cotton , so you can bleach them.
Leave your shoes outside, or sanitize spray them, before you come in your home.

I am afraid the Devil will keep Comrade O'Bomba-Nation around until he does his full Damage!
