President Obama's visit to Turkey marks the last leg of his eight-day international trip. He began his morning at 10:50 a.m. EEST (3:50 a.m. ET), attending a wreath-laying ceremony at Ataturak's Tomb at Anitkabir.

An hour later he sat down with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and the two of them held a bilateral meeting at 12:30 p.m. EEST (5:50 a.m. ET), followed by a press conference at 1:45 p.m. EEST (6:45 a.m. ET).

At 3:30 p.m. EEST (8:45 a.m. ET), Obama will address the Turkish Grand National Assembly at the Turkish Parliament on U.S.-Turkish relations. As Chris Cillizza notes in the Fix, "the eyes -- and expectations -- of the world will, literally, be upon him."

Following his remarks, Obama holds a bilateral meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at 4:45 p.m. EEST (9:45 a.m. ET), before heading to Istanbul at 6 p.m.. EEST (11:00 a.m. ET).

I am delighted to hear of President Obama's trip to Turkey in his efforts to rebuilding ties within the region. I am planning a trade mission from Texas to Istanbul and Ankara scheduled for July. Anyone interested in expanding their business or exploring the market can contact me. Details on the mission are available on my website.

What I want to know how much it cost the U.S. taxpayers to transport 500+ people for this little European vacation? I thought we were in the middle of an economic "crisis"? Can we really afford to spend over $2 BILLION per year to run the White House anymore?

P.S. Richard Nixon flew commercial as President:

Does this mean that Obama is sneaking into Iraq and/or Afghanistan?
