Following his six-country overseas trip, which included a surprise visit to see American troops in Baghdad yesterday, President Obama will have a light schedule today.

Obama returned to the White House at 3:05 a.m. ET. He has no public events scheduled today. There will be no press briefing today.

Vice President Biden welcomes the XVIII Airborne Corps back from Iraq in Fort Bragg, N.C., at a 10 a.m. ceremony.

Check out our Federal City Digest for the rundown of noteworthy events around town.
