POTUS Events: Focus on Afghanistan and Pakistan

President Obama receives his daily presidential briefing at 9:45 a.m. ET, followed by his routine economic meeting and then a meeting with his senior advisers.
At 11:30 a.m., he sits down with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) at the White House. At noon, he dines with Sens. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). Vice President Biden joins them.
Two hours later, Obama and Biden commence bilateral meetings -- at 2:00 p.m. they meet with President Karzai of Afghanistan and at 2:40 p.m. with President Zardari of Pakistan. At 3:30 p.m., Karzai and Zardari together sit down with Obama and Biden. Obama is expected to address the public at 4:15 p.m.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs delivers the press briefing at 1:00 p.m.

I's really pretty *bleeping* sad that we are mired in Iraq when the real, and I mean very real danger lays in Pakistan/Afghanistan.
What an enormous waste of lives and resources.
We may be faced with no other choice but to abandon Iraq.
