Audience Awaiting Cheney Listens to Obama

By Michael D. Shear
More than 250 people packed into the 12-floor conference center at the American Enterprise Institute for former vice president Dick Cheney's almost instantaneous rebuttal to President Obama's national security speech.

Obama's speech was piped into two big-screen televisions so the crowd could see his speech from the National Archives. As he began, just before 10:30 a.m., the crowd at AEI turned quiet.

Cheney was not seen during Obama's speech.

A technical glitch made listening to Obama difficult at first. For some reason, in addition to hearing the president's voice, the television also offered audio from C-SPAN, forcing the crowd to listen to congressional procedure as well.

The glitch was fixed a few moments.

250 neocons in a room listening to Obama. The President had might as well been speaking greek. A moral argument against torture is lost on amoral people.

The Cheney-Rumsfeld-Bush Admin-istration(really!)only made our nation more hated and less safe over their 8 years in office. President Obama will do all any President and his administration can do to keep us safe and he will do it within the framework of our Constitution unlike Cheney who tore up the Constitution whenever it got in his way.

captainkona:

You think the FBI was working on that only since January 20, 2009?! LOL!!!

The FBI, under the Obama administration, just stopped a planned attack on NY BEFORE it happened.
Only eight months into the BushCo regime we suffered the worst attack since Pearl Harbor. That's Dick Cheney's legacy.

Safer under Democrats, unprotected under Republicans.
Now we have proof.
