Right wing spin on event reporting was conceived to protect the interests of the privileged by hoodwinking the unsophisticated masses through simplistic emotion laden arguments of half truths. These distorted rumors continue to to work because the suckers who believe them are too proud and lazy to investigate the findings of legitimate researchers.

Noam Chomsky listens to Rush Limbaugh and thoroughly understands the positions with which he disagrees.

Go ahead, watch Fox, then read Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Bill Moyers, and investigate the facts without the corporate media filter, then see if your perspective changes. I fought with, and mocked the reporting from Pacifica Network for years, but I continued to pay attention and eventually realized they were right much more often than corporate media were. When I realized I had been falling for the self interested distortions of the "conservatives" (who don't conserve anything really) I was chagrined, but thank God, the spell was broken and I started to see things as they are.

Now I'm a subscriber to listener supported media, because you can't trust information sources that are beholden to the interests of their sponsors, and the demand of product buying listeners for flattering rationalizations of their wrongheadedness.

Which of these B.Obama overviews, "The Obama Nation", or "The Case Against Obama: The Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate" is more even handed? After only reading Obama's view of Obama, in his 2 autobiographies, one of the these more balanced overviews is a must. David Freddoso is a respected, Washington investigative reporter, and the author of "The Case Against Obama".

"Maybe you should watch Fox News and then watch your liberal stations too, get fair and balanced yourself."

The above statement is so incredibly idiotic I don't know where to begin, but I'll try:

1. Fox is thoroughly predictable in their positions, because they are completely biased in the way they choose to cover any story. Their claim to "fair and balanced" is a flat out lie. This is obvious.

2. All corporate media are under pressure to present information in ways that won't adversly affect their corporate sponsors and ownership, which causes coverage to be slanted to the right of actual events.

3. "Democracy Now" is usually a very reliable source of information you won't get from corporate media.

Who is giving Cheney a forum to continue his unwelcome influence? The corporate backed American Enterprise Institute and other corporate think tanks. Just another way of thwarting the will of the majority and business as usual for the oligarchy.
When you see such a propaganda show it has to make you wonder if they are not busy orchestrating another "terrorist" attack to give credence to their lies.
Cheney has been the real president during the last administration and this dog and pony show proves it.

True, If one uses a scoring system that omits lies, straw man arguments, and contradictions.

Maybe you should take a look at the photos from Abu Ghraib to realize that the "three" suspected terrorists that were waterboarded weren't the only people who were tortured. This is just what we even know about, there were innocent lives ruined, radicalized and taken by this program which was illegal to begin with, was initiated before they illegally twisted the laws to suit their purposes and as more evidence comes out it seems that it was used to illicit false confessions.

If waterboarding was so great then why did they stop five years ago?, didnt't dick know that a terrorist threat still existed?

Can't you see that Dick Cheney is lying to you?

Dick Cheney is a has-been,self-righteous,puke-inducing oligarch who is not worth the attention he is being given. He will reside in the dung-heap of history with other Satanic figures. We just had an election that repudiated the previous administration and sent the Republican party spiraling downward. And this chump wants to make us believe he's right and everyone else is wrong.Hell will never be hot enough for him and his ilk.Scr-w him.

MADAM SPEAKER AND CONGRESSIONAL DEMS:

MOUNT A GOOD OFFENSE. TURN UP THE VOLUME ON TORTURE...

...AGAINST U.S. CITIZENS HERE AT HOME.

A good offense is the best defense. Speaker Pelosi should amp up her calls for an investigation into the DOMESTIC BRANCH
of the Bush-Cheney- spawned "torture matrix" -- key elements of which continue under the naive Obama administration.

Example: The grassroots "extrajudicial punishment network" spawned by federal security/military/intel agencies and local "partners" in law enforcement.

This nationwide apparatus has deployed a nationwide, Gestapo-like grassroots vigilante citizen army -- fronted by federally-funded community policing and volunteer organizations.

These citizen vigilantes use government-subsidized vehicles and equipment to stalk, harass, and even physically torture many thousands of unjustly "targeted" U.S. citizens and their families.

Every law enforcement agency in the nation knows about the GPS "beacons" that these officially-enabled "community gang stalkers" covertly implant on the vehicles of their prey -- a blatantly unconstitutional warrantless surveillance regime.

These vigilantes also are believed to be equipped with high-tech microwave radiation "directed energy weapons" that can induce cognitive impairment, physical injury and disease.

Bottom line: The "torture matrix" is NOT just a foreign affair. Speaker Pelosi has heard from constituents about these officially-countenanced horrors. But this American Gestapo continues to terrorize unjustly targeted families coast-to-coast.

And here comes a REAL-PUBLIC-an...

Who's "Fear Mongering"?

Only 3 Detainees were waterboarded...

http://articles.latimes.com/2008/feb/06/nation/na-terror6

This article is even from your "Liberal State Times"

We're Not Fear Mongering, reality is reality, and our President relies far too much on the misuse of Reality... He focuses on "the minority" of the situation. 1 of the Detainees waterboarded was the Mastermind behind 9/11! Remember the Burn Towers? People dying, Not just Whites, but all races of humans dying, do you remember that??? We've been safe since? hmmm why?

Maybe you should watch Fox News and then watch your liberal stations too, get fair and balanced yourself. When it comes to news you need to go and get it, just like food, you need to work to feed yourself and most of America is Starving for Real News...

Cheney's been wrong on just about everything, and he's fear mongering as usual.
Jesus made it clear that His followers could not yield to fear. Giving in to fear is a form of idolatry because, it means the earthly thing one fears is more powerful than God, which it cannot be for a person of faith. Cheney appeals only to the Godless.
