After Swine Flu, Specter and Souter, What's Next?

By Ben Pershing
President Obama's ability to multitask will again be on display this week, as he continues to juggle multiple priorities in the wake of last week's three S's -- swine flu, Specter and Souter.

While the White House considers potential nominees for the Supreme Court vacancy, conservatives are already developing a strategy against possible candidates and warning against those dreaded "activist" judges. Dark-horse candidates for the post have already begun surfacing in the media -- Janet Napolitano won't rule it out! -- and more such boomlets will certainly occur before Obama actually makes his pick.

Whether with his Supreme Court choice or his overall agenda, Obama can't please everyone. That's especially true for House Democrats, who make up several powerful, competing factions that can't possibly all be satisfied by the priorities that the president chooses to pursue. Which bill will move first -- health care reform or a climate change? Will those priorities shove immigration off the agenda? Will the administration really be vigilant about the budget deficit, or was that just posturing?

ONE WEEK AGO TODAY, BACKUP AIR FORCE ONE 'TERROR BUZZED' NEW YORK CITY.

TOMORROW NIGHT, MANY EAST COAST RESIDENTS WILL BE STARTLED AND ALARMED BY THE NOXIOUS 'CHEM-TRAIL' LEFT BEHIND BY THE BLAST-OFF OF A MILITARY SATELLITE FROM VIRGINIA... AN ATYPICAL SITE FOR SUCH A LAUNCH.

IS ANYONE ELSE WONDERING:

ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BEING 'DESENSITIZED' TO SUCH PHENOMENA... AND TO WHAT END?

AND WHEN WILL WE LEARN WHAT AGENCIES KNEW ABOUT THE NYC 'TERROR BUZZ,' WHEN DID THEY KNOW IT -- AND WHY WAS THE OVAL OFFICE KEPT OUT OF THE LOOP?

Flashback -- one week ago today:

THAT BIZARRE, SADISTIC AIR FORCE ONE 9/11-ESQUE FLYOVER:

STUPIDITY -- OR A DEVIOUSLY CLEVER COVER STORY FOR A FOILED PLOT?

Think about it: "Terrorists" hijack the backup Air Force One. It's flown into a lower Manhattan office tower. Thousands perish. When it is revealed that Al Qaeda has struck again, the global war on terror resumes with a vengeance -- with the President who hoped to bring world peace unwittingly cast as the new "W."

But what if word of the "plot" leaked out?

Well... revert to the cover story. Go through with the fly-over (after giving local law enforcement a secret heads-up). When terrorized New Yorkers cry foul, claim it was just an ill-advised photo shoot. Make the "fall guy" a former secretary of the Army, the first Hispanic to serve in that capacity. Get him to "admit" culpability, and hope no one questions the irrationality of the explanation.

Of course, we all know that this is America, and something so Machiavellian, so malevolent, could never happen here. Never.

http://www.SalviaSociety.org talks about how the swine flu can't be transmitted through processed plants. So at least the druggies don't have to worry about catching the swine flu when they are importing their stuff from Mexico.. haha

Doesn't Obama deserve a week out of the spotlight? Besides, the public is still in terror over swine flu.
