Obama 2, Fenty -2

Mayor Adrian M. Fenty announced today that he is losing city administrator Dan Tangherlini to the Obama administration.
Tangherlini is going to the U.S. Treasury Department as assistant secretary for management, chief financial officer and chief performance officer.
Tangherlini, former interim general manager of Metro, has been running the city since Fenty took office in 2006. Tangherlini was not as visible at press events as past city administrators, but Fenty's staff knew him as the man who ran the day-to-day operations of the city.
Neil Albert, currently deputy mayor for economic development, will become the new city administrator, Fenty said at a city hall news conference this afternoon.
