POTUS Events: Auto Industry Checkup

President Obama's routine presidential and economic briefings are followed by a 12:15 p.m. address on auto emissions and fuel efficiency standards from the White House Rose Garden.
At 1:45 p.m., the president meets with former secretaries of state Henry A. Kissinger and George Schultz, former defense secretary William Perry and Sam Nunn, a former chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. At 3:30 p.m., Obama speaks at a ceremony honoring National Small Business award winners. He meets with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates at 4:30 p.m.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs holds the daily press briefing at 1:30 p.m.
