Obama can't deliver a sovereign state for the Palestinians. Deep down, I don't think most of the Islamic world cares that much for the Palestinians; their reaction to Israel is a knee jerk reaction. They object because that is the Islamic template. Our reaction to the support of Israel is also automatic. There is a difference, however. If Hamas and Hezbollah ever got the upper hand over the Israelis (doubtful) and the US abandoned Israel (also doubtful), the rest of the Arab world would stand by and let Israel's enemies slaughter the Jews. Not much then will change with the way Arabs feel as a result of Obama's speech.
