Clinton Undergoes Surgery on Her Elbow

By Mary Beth Sheridan
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton underwent surgery this morning on her right elbow, which she fractured in a fall in the State Department basement two days ago, officials said.

The operation at George Washington University Hospital began at 7:30 a.m. and lasted two hours, according to Cheryl D. Mills, chief of staff to Clinton. Doctors expect a full recovery.

Clinton canceled her public events on Thursday and Friday. She is recovering at her home in Washington, where daughter Chelsea and ex-President Bill Clinton have joined her, according to Mills' statement.

Clinton is scheduled to travel to Italy and Greece beginning June 24. It is not yet clear whether she will have to change her plans.

"I don't believe in coincidences." -- NCIS Special Agent Jethro Gibbs

First, Sotomayor stumbles and breaks a limb.

Then Secretary Clinton stumbles and breaks a limb.

Blog-mobbers make sick and depraved comments.

As was stated in this space before:

If I were writing a political spy novel, I'd posit that she was induced to stumble by a silent, pulsed-beam burst from a microwave radiation "directed energy weapon" of the type carried by her security detail...

...and the naive mainstream media would never suspect such a nefarious, Donald Segretti-like dirty trick.

But those things only happen in political spy novels. So, no worries, sheeple.

...I wonder if the doctors found tire tracks from the wheels of a bus on her broken elbow?
