Is Rahm Emanuel a Micromanager?

By Ben Pershing
Is Rahm Emanuel a micromanager? For your consideration, three stories:

Story No. 1, by Howard Kurtz in today's Washington Post, chronicles Emanuel's constant outreach to the press, noting that he returns phone calls and serves up quotes for even the most routine stories. "Perhaps no White House chief of staff in modern history has worked the media as aggressively and relentlessly as Emanuel," Kurtz writes.

Story No. 2, by Matt Bai in the June 7 issue of The New York Times Magazine, covered the Obama administration's relationship with Congress as it seeks to pass health care reform. "Obama's aggressive courtship of Congress is plotted and directed by Emanuel," Bai asserts. He adds that "Emanuel has taken an unusually personal role in handling Congress," that he keeps track of which members come to the White House for social events and that he personally harassed lawmakers to vote for Obama's budget and stimulus package.

Emanual is running this country for the benefit of Israel, not America. Obama is nothing more than a puppet. The Democrats that support Israel used his talents to gain control of both Houses of Representatives.

Gator and Swampy both on this blog? Great, it makes me feel right at home.

Re health insurance. First: I am a staunch advocate of a public option for health care. Which are the most effective and loved health care systems in the USA? 1) Medicare and 2) the Federal Employees Health Insurance Program. Enough said.

roflmao, emanuel and obama are poster children for anal retentiveness. it must be terribly hard for them to keep up with all the misinformation they've put out.

The Obama administration reeks of all sorts of strange behaviors. Leadership, tenacity, decency, coherence and now with Rahm Emanuel, hard work! Omg, how long can America take this?

MR. PRESIDENT: THE ECONOMY IS NOT YOUR ONLY CRISIS.

THE BUSH-ERA "EXTRAJUDICIAL TARGETING AND PUNISHMENT NETWORK" REMAINS IN PLACE...

..."MULTI-AGENCY COORDINATED ACTION" OPERATIONS AGAINST UNJUSTLY TARGETED AMERICANS DEEMED TO BE DISSIDENTS, TROUBLEMAKERS, OR SLANDERED AS SOCIAL DEVIATES.

THIS NATIONWIDE SYSTEM OF VIGILANTE INJUSTICE POSES A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO AMERICAN DEMOCRACY -- AND TO THE OBAMA PRESIDENCY.

The Bush-Cheney "multi-agency action" extrajudicial vigilante network and a related unconstitutional array of "programs of personal destruction" remain in place -- operating in virtually every community in the U.S., aided and abetted by local authorities.

President Obama may not even be aware of some of the deeply entrenched "ops" that threaten his presidency...

• A nationwide army of "community stalking" citizen vigilantes hiding behind federally-funded volunteer organizations -- using covertly implanted GPS tracking devices to stalk, harass, vandalize and terrorize unjustly "targeted" citizens and families;

• Deployment of classified "directed energy" microwave radiation weaponry to jurisdictions nationwide -- weapons that victims of "community gang stalking" claim are used to torture and physically degrade "undesirables";

• Multi-agency "programs of personal destruction" -- ranging from pervasive spying to a parallel system of transaction processing that victims maintain amounts to fascistic theft by deception.

These rogue programs must be taken down to preserve the rule of law in America.

Immediately. Before more damage is done.

The agencies of government that are commandeering this devolution of American democracy must be reined in and reformed, top to bottom, never again to subvert the rule of law.

Rahm Emanuel is Obama's voice against the entrenched health care interests. He is not micromanaging he is trying to combat the misinformation that the industry spews to protect their excessive profits.

Reform is not easy as we can see in Iran. There are entrenched interests in this company that have been making excessive profits relative to the potential costs of health care.

One can use either Medicare rates of return on a dollar spent which is better than 95 cents or compare it to Europe where the same outcomes are less expensive. That means that profits are excessive or the insurance industry is less efficient than Medicare and the Europeans.

Republicans seem to worry about the market share of insurance companies. That is government interference in business, only it is to aid business at the expense of Americans. Republicans are unabashed in their anti-citizen stances.
