Nancy Reagan to Lunch with Michelle Obama
By Roxanne Roberts
The ultimate ladies lunch has to be a first ladies lunch. Michelle Obama has invited Nancy Reagan to the White House tomorrow, where the two will get to know each other during a private lunch. This will be the first time the first lady has entertained a predecessor since moving to Washington.
Obama called Reagan during the transition to ask for advice and the two women spent 45 minutes chatting about the role of first lady and living in the executive mansion. Reagan told Vanity Fair she advised the Obamas to have lots of state dinners.
The former first lady, who spends most of her time in California, is in Washington for the unveiling of a statue of Ronald Reagan in the Capitol tomorrow morning. Tonight, she's scheduled to meet with friends and former members of the Reagan administration at a private reception.
