POTUS Events: Obama Announces Surgeon General
President Obama meets with senior advisors at 11:05 a.m. in the Oval Office. Following this meeting, the President will announce his nomination for Surgeon General from the Rose Garden.
In the afternoon, President Obama meets with labor leaders at the White House, greets the Columbus Crew soccer team and then holds a meeting with leaders from the Jewish-American community in the Rossevelt room.
Finally, President Obama delivers remarks from the Executive Office Building at the Urban and Metropolitan Policy Roundtable at 4:00 p.m.
The daily White House press briefing will take place at 1:00 p.m.
