Associated Press
President Obama will travel to Mexico next month to meet with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the White House said today.
The meeting is scheduled for Aug. 9-10 in Guadalajara, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said.
The North American Leaders Summit is an opportunity for the three countries to discuss the economy and shared interests, Gibbs said, adding that the meetings also will discuss energy and the environment, as well as the swine flu pandemic.
