I have heard two accounts of the beer that Dr. Gates was drinking. One says the it is Red Stripe as depicted in the picture. The other says that it is Samuel Adams Light. Who knows.

Is every community police dispute going to be elevated to the presidency to mediate it. As Officer Crowley said when asked if the President contributed anything: "He brought the beer."

These photo ops are reminescent of President Jimmy Carter and the President would be wise to keep his mouth shut the next time there is a dispute involving the police and a suspect.

The naked display of racism on this post PROVES Obama's point. Thank you Bcamp55 and JohnMcCormick for the evidence!

Thank you fo demonstrating your racism for all to see. By the way - the beer appeals to the class issue (the cops) not the race issue (the blacks). Of course you are so full of racism you would not see that.

I wonder if Gates was white, whether Obama would have suggested wine and caviar instead of beer and peanuts. We will only know it if a white man gets arrested by a black cop and a reporter asks Obama the same quetion about race relations.

I suppose they're going to have this "we're all just getting along as best friend's fest" at the White House.

You don't see too many teleprompters at the local pubs anymore and Obozzo's staff is having a hard enough time getting his shoe out of his mouth as it is.

BTW - If I was Crowley, I would have told Obozzo to take the apparently diminutive Gates and shove him up his @ss.
